They did that with inFamous 2 as they didn’t know where to take the series, so they looked at the trophies and saw how many people got what ending first and went on from there. So it is possible that Ubisoft could do the same thing
With hope their will never be another sequel to this. This is the first time far cry has made a true sequel and they did it on some medicore story with mute, nameless protagonist. I hope we never see this county or group of characters again

It was still an amazing story. Just don't forget that they did it in an extremely short amount of time. That's why it's so short. At least I didn't have to wait longer for the next one to come out. I just really hope Far Cry 6 has a protagonist with an actual character and voice like previous games.

Personally, I was tempted to kill him, but then I realized that killing him would have been a mercy that he didn't deserve. @Lucas martin one does not need to actually PLAY a game to see that the timing of subs are wrong, i don't think that's difficult to understand. It's perfectly visible in the gameplay, it's not about how it was recorded, it's not a bug, it happens all the time. This is simply lazy work, no excuses.

Honestly, the endings of both 5 and New Dawn were both heavy punches to the gut.
The ending of Far Cry 5 made me realise that all along, Joseph might have been right, about the world destroying itself, if not that his religion was correct in what would happen.
The ending of New Dawn brings home the fact that he had never really considered he might be wrong. He had always had faith that he understood “god’s” plan.
FC5 makes you believe at first that he was completely wrong, and then in the end makes him (at least partially) correct. New Dawn makes you think he might have a decent point for a while, and then it all gets torn away at the end.
He still had a decent point, he just couldn't see what God's plans were after the new Shepard took over

My reasoning was that: (1) living with the guilt of all he's done is the most just punishment, and (2) taking another's life is only just if it will prevent further harm to others. To take his life now would just be another needless tally on the death toll. At this point he's an old man, his "cult" is gone, and he poses no credible threat to anyone now. And most importantly, unlike Mickey's helpless plea for her life, here Joseph really comes to term with all the terrible things he's done in God's name. He genuinely seems to express repentance for what he done. So he still gets the harshness punishment as justice for all the lives he's taken, he can live out the rest of his years in reflection without being a threat to anyone, and he can sort it out with God in the end. Who am I to pass God's judgment except in defense of others?

I thought about sparing him. I really grew attached to his character in new dawn, I didn’t believe all the god crap he was spewing but in new dawn, I learned to believe. But when it came to killing it sparing him, I thought about far cry 5, I ended Joseph for Rook

I must say. I had a blast while playing this new game. Seeing how hope county evolved 17y later was interesting. I think it was a good approach to not do the same, lame post-apocalyptic setting as always. In my Opinion, Joseph is the best, most deep and most tragic villain of Far Cry, and i am very glad to play this game.

A lot of that was simply the violence getting out of the control. If you read Joseph's diary he says he realizes his siblings "fell into sin." If you listen closely in Far Cry 5, there are a lot of hints he was losing control of his people. He called John a "monster" and talked about your friends being "taken and tortured" like it was a bad thing.
Joseph didn't kill any of them.
The Father has seen it all, even heard words from God!

Farcry New Dawn was amazing, but I think the map should have been the same size as the Farcry 5 map and the story should have longer too... like Farcry 5 because this is a sequel to Farcry 5.

It wasn't nearly as fun or amusing, everyone was a major downer, I constantly hung out around sharky and the medics place or went on expeditions since the pilot was fun but almost every other character got really serious and it sucked.

There's nothing more to tell. Joseph's story is over and it the most realistic ending is if you kill Joseph to free him. The highwaymen have also been eradicated from the wasteland.

New dawn not only is more actionable than 5 but it also makes you realize pictures do keep a lot of memories..like im half way the game and everytime i collide a past picture of a place in hope country with the now in new dawn it just makes me want to cry for real

Joseph never was a villain, more like a psychopath with a purpose-purpose to save. His Edens Gate organization-this people understood that the Apocalypse is real and all in all-it was real and deputy understood it as well in the bunker at the end of FC5. So basically he tried to save only little piece of America-cruely but he tried-and they started a revolution. A character, that can stand in one row with Vaas and Paigan

If you return to the spot where the twins were defeated, after letting her live, there will be a note there, saying that she's going north to find her mother.
Lagends has it Joseph seed is still shouting RELEASE ME!!! at that very location with a tree on fire
If people let Joseph live than it gives right continue the rooks story now that he is the judge if he recovers his sanity or memories of who he used this can be use as the DLC were the judge hunts down the last remaining high way men and recovers his memories slowly and we get the ending as be judged or forgive father seed what ever you chose
Notice that when Joseph sent you to retrieve Ethan you grab a tree, in far cry primal, when you find jayma, you're standing near a tree. When there, jayma proceeds to shoot an arrow right next to you. Notice that arrow in the tree. Coincidence? (I think not) if you look forward, jayma ascends from below that hill from the forest. The background is the same
I like how in Far Cry 5 me and my friend finished the game on my save and we both hated Joseph with our guts, now we finished playing Far Cry New Dawn and somehow, somehow we gained a friendly bond with him and we were yelling at our characters not to shoot him. (He ended up accidentally shooting Joseph after the cutscene) but we both started comparing our hatred towards him at first but then we liked him so much.
