Technically the shield and spear weapons are also Kitans sisters Mechs as well. He didn't show them as accessories either but I guess that's not a big deal, you get the point from the review regardless.
Honestly the individual Gunmen look like something you'd get from a Happy Meal - aside from the Gurren Lagann itself - but when they're fully assembled it is... surprisingly cool looking.
Throughout the video you did not bring up the twins mech, that is two heads smashed together, that become the arms of "Infinite Combining Gurren Dan Lagann."
Technically Cho Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagann is the combination of the Tenga Toppa Dai Gurren Mecha and Gurren Laggan itself, but it looks like a giant flaming Kamina than the figure shown here.
There are like alternate universe movies. I think it's called gurren lagann alternate works? I think it's little animated shorts based on when the team was trapped in the multi-dimensional labyrinth... Or something but they have like super galaxy kamina, which is like above tengen toppa gurren Lagann, (the final form at the end of the original series) And also in the shorts each character has their own Mecha, including a sniper gunman for Yoko. And some kind of crazy version of lagann.
Glad to see Kitan's Ganmen involved in the Gattai! I got teary eyed just remembering Kitan's sacrifice and also the boy's cameo when Adult Simon saw Kamina again when they were on the depression void. Loved this anime!
Kinda funny how this collector's figure priced at like 185 bucks has less articulation compared to what Bandai does with a couple of their recent combiners from Super Sentai, all of which are at a cheaper price as well.
We can also look at the new transformers core class dinobots which are ten bucks a pop, about like five or six of them combine pretty well and have good articulation at a far cheaper price. Yes they make concessions but they’re still pretty sick
For that price, I expected more articulation from the gunmen(s); Personally, I would rather to pose them separately, since so far this is the only way to get their figures that Im aware of.
I’m getting the smp specifically for the Enki figure. The sentinel model kit is really good if you can find one. Lots of pre-painted parts and very premium feeling model kit
this combination is probably inspired by the Chou Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann combination from the movie version of the final battle but at a smaller non-galaxy-sized scale and looks more like a traditional robot rather than Chou Tengen Toppa who are just the Tengen Toppa Gunmens engulfed in energy in the shape of a giant Kamina.
I know it’s not necessarily the kind of stuff you cover on the channel, but with 2 most recent Super Sentai. They’ve really tried to make the articulation an importance of the figure. The new one King Ohja from Ohsama Sentai Kingohger is looks like the most posable mecha in Sentai history and I don’t doubt it can hit the Gaikotsu test pose. It’s just a suggestion love your content Mecha G. Another great video
I'm not a fan of King Ohja's design, but that's great that they're finally adding more articulation to the DX stuff. Always found it weird how the Candy Toys were always superior in that regard!
If I were to get this, I'd probably buy 2 sets. One to display the individual Gunman and a second to display it all combined. On a related note, I'm surprised Bandai hasn't done an RG Gurren Lagann line up.
with a pbandai remould into the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. and then that gets remoulded into the Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. oh and they also need master grade EXs and perfect grade unleasheds
I had a choice between CCS and The Gattai for Guren Lagann back then, and i picked the latter which is totally worth it with the impressive combiner gimmick.
This was a nightmare to build. Took me close to 3 hours…. I broke an arm off the monkey and had to hot glue it back on, scratched the back of the legs trying to pry open the little doors with scissors (no where near as easy as the video makes it seem.) and it took me forever to figure out how to attach the yellow piece to the back. Sure, this thing looks cool, but it’s cheap quality, easily breakable, and the instructions are confusing. I wish they had just made a higher quality pre-assembled figure with this design.
I got this when it came out and the best way I can describe it is disappointing. I don't really regret my purchase since it's mostly just going to sit on a shelf and tbf it does look great but it doesn't feel like it should for the price.
Is there any diecast metal content in these robots? Looks pastickie not that there's anything wrong with it being made with plastic. I guess I'm just old skool tubing about the chohokins from my youth.
I usually really enjoy your gunpla reviews... but here.. you did not transform most of the Ganmen... and you didn't even include the twin purple Ganmen...and were just negative about this.. like, this should have been compared to megazords!
Except that Gundam Model Kits are, well, model kits. You need to do some work, cutting, sanding maybe painting all things you would not do on most toys. And if I had a kid it would not be left alone with any model kit except 30 Minute Mission and only after I cut out all the parts. Would not want my child to cut or stab itself. All these are things you would not consider with most toys
@@Franky_Sthein I get all the craft one can put behind them, god knows I have invested close to 40 hrs customizing a couple. But they're still toys, there's nothing wrong with them being exactly toys.
Mecha was calling it "toy-like" probably because it's very glossy on the arms and the plastic doesn't look very premium in a lot of areas. Also I wouldn't trust most children with model kits like Gunpla and the like, considering the sharp tools and effort required to assemble.
There is a difference between being "toy-like" and looking like a premium product, both are toys but the first one speaks more about the quality of the product itself.
You forgot to cover the twin bokun, they’re the purple one that form the combined mode’s arms.
Technically the shield and spear weapons are also Kitans sisters Mechs as well. He didn't show them as accessories either but I guess that's not a big deal, you get the point from the review regardless.
I was going to say he forgot J-J-JORGEN. and B-B-BALENBO!
Honestly the individual Gunmen look like something you'd get from a Happy Meal - aside from the Gurren Lagann itself - but when they're fully assembled it is... surprisingly cool looking.
Imagine happy meals like that. I would be so fat
bro I'd love this as a happy meal
reminds me of a time when mcdonalds actually made good toys and not pieces of colored plasic.
not so much when having them in hand. Obviously premium quality plastic and I've spent way longer with them in individual modes than expected.
The death scenes are flashing in my head. The twins laughter as they fade.. Truly an amazing anime! Awesome review as always sir!
So this is Spiral Power....
danngggg I remember how cool and insane that scene was so much pride how they die that twins are GIGA CHADS
Throughout the video you did not bring up the twins mech, that is two heads smashed together, that become the arms of "Infinite Combining Gurren Dan Lagann."
I'm kind of surprised we didn't see something like this in the series itself or the movies.
I thought it in movie
Technically Cho Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagann is the combination of the Tenga Toppa Dai Gurren Mecha and Gurren Laggan itself, but it looks like a giant flaming Kamina than the figure shown here.
I believe this concept appeared in one of the episodes of Parallel Works.

It's priced at $250+ at BBTS. I honestly still want it, but can't warrant it at this point.
I think most gurren lagann figures are overpriced. CCSToys is the way to go, every dollar is worth it. They made a Lazengann too
We can also look at the new transformers core class dinobots which are ten bucks a pop, about like five or six of them combine pretty well and have good articulation at a far cheaper price. Yes they make concessions but they’re still pretty sick

Here in the US, that horrible thing costs nearly 300 dollars....and is sold out.
Believe it or not, it’s on preorder for a second run on bbts for somewhere under 250 usd.
Just picked it up for $87 USD/12450 Yen on Good Smile Global. Part of their Christmas sale. Not worth retail, but pretty decent for 87 I think.
It looks neat but knowing this is kittans only other model kit stings a little
