@@eadsierestorations just watched the deauville restoration.... looks amazing. I've just bought one that will need some attention. I'm not sure I can make it look like yours!
I know this is a long time after the fact, but the engine mounting bolt at 11.17, how did you extract it, i am currently stripping 1998 deauville, and had to cut between the spacer and the frame to remove it, but now i cant remove the bolt from the engine, any info would bre appreciated. great build by the way.
Have you watched anymore episodes? I had to cut the engine casing horizontally where the bolt goes through. I then doused with vinegar to eat the white alloy crust and left it for a day or so. They used heat and plenty of lube then gently tapped it out eventually.
Adrian, you are a mechanic genius! I'm even struggling to undo rusty bolt here... What an inspiration your videos are! My deauville 650 has been sitting for 2 years. i'm no mechanic at all but I managed to start my old Deauville by changing spark plugs, undid air filter, used carbcleaner and it started. Bought new MOTOBATT battery and new air filter. Removed rear wheel and in garage put a new rear tyre on. Sorted delayed indicator light. Don't know what to do with front and right side plastics as they got smashed/ cracked with bits missing when a car hit my parked bike. any ideas? thank you.
Hi Adrian. Do you have another link for your Deauville 650 restoration video part 1. Tried viewing but states not available. Would love to view before parts 2 and 3. Thanks
I've seen a German tank awaken from the depth of a swamp in Russia and it was in a better shape than your beloved Deauville. But I've to admit, even it would be cheaper to buy a used one instead of restoring that one, you will never have a relation, than to a bike you did by your one. Awesome. Thumbs up from me.
Wow! My little 2 stroke Honda is 21 this year. Yours must have been parked in the sea for the last 10 years. Well done for saving the old girl.
It started because it is a Honda, great build quality. Well done for saving her from the scrap heap....Top Man xx

The exhaust wouldn't have helped, in covering everything in oily soot.
You forgot to describe it's condition.
"A bit Sore"Lol.
Yep that is bad. But not as bad as the CD 175
Not my cup of tea
