Thanks Chad! yeah I have seen the alternator hammered back in, hitting on the alternator and even grinding the alternator itself down to make it fit! Not good!
Thanks Mike, i subscribed and liked. Im helping a lady friend out in distress . This video helped me know what i will need to bring to do the job and how to navigate that altenator out from a tight spot. Thanks again ! Im hoping when i get there the belt is broken, ya right.
All you have to do is remove the master cylinder . It comes right off Move to one side . Remove power steering line. Unplug harness in way (2) Lift altinator out. Done
If you can get someone else to do, you are probably better off ! -- Truth ! Helping an unemployed guy change his out, those two f n bolts at the engine are super, super tight. No idea why and the alternator bolt is not factory,- not a shoulder bolt, just threaded the whole way !
Thanks Wyatt! It is my "farm" car. cheaper to run then the truck, don't care if it bottoms out (like the Volt does) and don't care how hogged up it gets ( which I dont want to do with new Trax) And yes I still have the Camaro.
Hey Mike! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I inherited from a passing in-law a nice 1995 Honda Civic DX. Only 100k miles! It starts, but idles very rough and is loud near and around the engine. No idea how to begin to diagnose the issue/s. Any recommendations? Maybe start with the basics like plugs? This will be my "project" car now. :)

i fuckin love the laser pointer. no more guessing if i’m looking at the same bolt as the guy in the video
Thanks!
Excellent video. Agree, bottom removal is easier; less work.
Nice step by step explanation. It does come in very hand having a lift.
Thanks Jim! I won't want to do certain jobs without the lift!
Thank you so much! Love the attitude in the video. It kept me watching the whole time!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The bushing is a great point the one thing I see fought the most often another great video you are a great man my friend!!!

Thanks for the help on this! I did an EX from underneath and it was a little painful but you got me through it.
Glad it helped!
Sweet, now I know how to do it! ;) Excellent video Mike as always!
I made this video just for you for that reason!

I miss my 96' Accord. Great car and went 240000 without letting me walk.
Now that is an impressive record!
Now that I know I might be able to do it, myself, I think I'll get someone else to.
Humm. that sounds like some good advice!

Well instructed Mike . You mentioned you were working on the left side . Was that sitting in the car or standing in front looking at the car 😅
Ya know I ain't sure!
@@TheDisgruntledMechanic LMAO I have said left when it was right and it seems everyone had to mention it of course 😅 😂
@@SteveRobReviews Now I'm confused, I need a drink
@@diymisfit_Mechanic_UDX404 😅😅
When are you not confused and needing a drink ??? HA!
I forgot about this car. Do you get to drive it much? Do you still have the Camero? Nice fix and a good instructional video.

Any need to lose the engine mount and of course hold the engine in place with a jack?
Would this work this same way for a 2000 acura integra?
do you have to worry about the radio security code in that year?
It has an aftermarket radio that was in it when I bought it. I had no problem with the code. so no.
Great job bro
TY!
