Well most folks I do this test around are stunned when I do it that way so honestly I am surprised there are a lot of others ( at least that watch my channel) that do it this way! Thanks Jim!
When I was a kid I had braces on my teeth and my buddy in class dared me to touch the 9v to my teeth. It literally felt like someone punched me in the mouth!!! Made for a good laugh though. Lol

Bro I did that cause I don't have the tester woth the cables and man oh man I don't know how or why but it reminded me in the blink of the volt passing that we used to do that when we were kids , thanks for the nice reminder and of course for the unusual way to test the battery

at gm training they say never lean on a fender when playing with coils...hmmmm i wonder why? i saw that vid steve rob did in a smoke detector battery... even though it tested good i would still replace it
I don't think I've ever used a meter for testing a 9v. It was always the tongue. Now show us the wall outlet with tongue J/K, LMAO. How is the garage build coming along?
I'll pass on the wall outlet. Did stick a key ring on a plug between prongs and put in outlet when kid. Made a nice smoke show but parents very unhappy! Garage on hold until spring.
I started out testing 9V batteries with my Tongue then worked up to 12V now I am on Mains voltage just like Uncle faster I can light up bulbs in my Mouth now 😂
@@TheDisgruntledMechanic no just joking in my now retired job has a telephone engineer i had a few 100V shocks 50V DC Is the normal voltage sent down the line but to make the bell ring 100V is required

That is how I do a quick test on the 9 volt also. Can you imagine if you did that with a 12 volt car battery. Lol

You would have to have a extra long tongue to test a 12V?
You are not alone!!!! Learn that one very early peace ✌️
I've been doing that since I was a kid. I have no idea where I learned it from lol
😂😂😂 that was hilarious Mike good video how to keep me laughing the rest of the day
Happy to keep you entertained!!
I confess I've tested them the same way lol. Nice job Mike!
Surprised so many have done it. When I do it around people they tell me I'm nuts! Oh well
@@TheDisgruntledMechanic Well, that's because you ARE nuts! ;) jk
I been testing them with my tongue for 60+ years, hasn't failed yet.
I’ve been doing it that way since I was a little kid.
Yeah probably not a new to some but others never saw it done that way.

Oh man! That's a good one!
I’m not sure I’d admit to that….
Yup tickle is a good analogy or term I’ve been doing that since I was a young lad 😊😊

The things we have to do for UA-cam. But yes, I thought this was always a very scientific process of checking a 9 volt battery. :)

well that works! did that as a kid! now the dvom is go to..... requesting a vid on ignition coil testing
With my tongue I suppose?

Tasting a fresh 9v battery will make your tongue feel like rough sandpaper for a week!
It is like having coffee at McDonalds.
I’ve done this a few times when I was a kid. I’m almost 52 now, and I’m a little afraid to try it! 😂😢I’ve become an old man.
HAHAHA love it . 👍
You gonna give it a try??
@@TheDisgruntledMechanic Sure why not when I check the batteries again.
please video it!!! haha!

I thought this was something that any self-respecting eight year old kid knew how to do, at least I did. Interesting video. Keep up the good work.
Try 2 Mike🤣
Maybe next video!
