- Official Barclay James Harvest - The Poet/ After The Day. Colmar -France. 15th August - 2011.
As guitarist, vocalist and one of the main writers in the band, John Lees was responsible for such classic songs as "Mockingbird", "Child of the Universe", "Poor Man's Moody Blues", "Hymn" and many more. When the original band came to an end in 1998, John teamed up once more with fellow BJH found Woolly Wolstenholme (who had left the band in June 1979).
With new members Craig Fletcher (bass, vocals) and Kevin Whitehead (drums) the band recorded the album "Nexus" and the live album "Revival". In 2006 John Lees' Barclay James Harvest embarked on a UK tour which produced the CD and DVD "Legacy". Jez Smith joined the band in 2009 on keyboards and the group continued to play throughout Europe and visited the USA. With Woolly Wolstenholme's sad passing in 2010, John Lees' Barclay James Harvest resolved to keep performing and in 2013 released the album "North".

The Poet is pure poetry like Time from Pink Floyd
Magnifica. Band leggendaria...BJH ❤
Great tribute to Woolly. Still missed. I need a friend to walk with me.
Superbe moment de musique ❤ !
In the BJH 'Live' version, they dropped the climax. Great to see it reinstated.
And great to see John Lees progress from a sweet, curly-haired rocker look to that of an irascible Yorkshire farmer.
lovely thank you

C est une chanson et mélodie angélique ça me fait penser à une idée. Nous avons affaire au bon dieu . ...
55 vs 0. So I can go to sleep.
You try hard - but you can never reach him. No one can play this - no one can sing this ... like WOOLLY ! Sorry, ich mein das nicht böse, and I hope you know that, John .
referring exactly to which one of the two songs?
Basically, I agree that Wooly had a powerful and warm singing voice - I wish he had sung more often on the old B. J. H. albums.
Www
