Before i got into harder Rock/Metal i used to love BJH from about 1976 onwards,i had the Rock And Roll Star 7" Red Vinyl with the blistering live version of Medicine Man that i never got tired of playing,i would have been about 16 years old....Fantastic to find this video.

What an absolute blessing it has been to share and enjoy the music of This Band for all of my life. I am now 65 years old and have yet to meet one person in my circle who has ever listened to any of their music and I'm so thankful that I was led to them at an early age. The thought process through the music has just been a great experience in my life. This music truly is for everyone who is everybody else!

The double LP "Live 1974" was my first LP at all. And it's, in my view, by far the best Album by the band. Medicine Man, She said and Mockingbird are just outstanding and awesomes versions.

Awesome! Have loved this track since I first heard it on the double live black album. There are several live versions but this is my favourite. The instrumental section gives me goose bumps every time I hear it - which would be in the hundreds! Don't forget to mention Mel's drumming. He had such an individual style and his playing on this track is one of his best. RIP Woolly and Mel.

He gave the typical progressive sound of the 70s from that era. After he left the band, they changed their musical direction toward a more friendly 80s sounding. Still there were some good songs and ideas, but something was gone with Wooly's departure.

remember seeing BJH at Leicester University - a very early gig - when they came back for a clearly unexpected encore they had to play She Said again as they didn't have another number! This song was a b side on a single in 1973 which I played incessantly on the Percy Gee jukebox - still at Leicester University. Amazing stuff!
