Barclay James Harvest should have been so much bigger worldwide than they were - So many incredible songs - Same goes for The Strawbs - 2 of the best bands - musically and lyrically - ever
My older brother and WNEW FM radio in NYC introduced me to both bands, couldn’t agree more. Used to go to Greenwich Village to buy BJH import albums, hard to find their albums in the states
very under rated talented band who i was lucky to see at city hall sheffield.never seemed to get the plaudets they deserved.clever harmonies and good songs way above the dross we hear today
Moi aussi je pense que c'est une des meilleures version sur cette planète. Je les ai vu en 1982. Et c'était tout simplement magnifique. Peu de groupes sont à la hauteur maintenant.
i listen to this song when i was 4 years old..now am 42..i never knew who sing this song and the title of this song..and i never herad anymore this song since 1995..i found this song two days ago when i woke up from sleeping, out of the blue there was google identify song on my phone..and pop out about the lyric of this song that i still remember"yes i want you,yes i need you yes i love you" well done the original song and the band appeard on my phone..
LEGENDS!! "Live Tapes' has got to be one of the best live performance in Rock History... A double album of excellent Prog Rock at its best... I remember when we first discovered this band via Live Tapes back in 1979 during the height of the Lebanese Civil War & we would turn down the lights ( when we had electricity that is ) and listen to this album over n over again....& this song would give us goosebumps whilst the distant sound of bombs would be heard as we lay there with our imaginations running wild... Thank you John, Les , Mel & Woolly... LIVE ON!
Some how don't know why.... I'm really addicted to this song. Good singer with meaningful lyrics, totally ignored i think.. in 2022 across world they're few real people who genuinely appreciate this band. Love from Bangalore - India

THE song for slow dancing in my youth. It meant you were all but engaged to the girl you were dancing with - or at least you wished you were. 😍 Talking about sweet memories 🥺
I had their live album in 1974 and really enjoyed it (vinyl 1st time round - OMG I'm that old). Love this ironic sense-of-humour middle finger gesture to those who were unnecessarily derisive back in those days. Well done guys - love this track.
I heard this lovely beauty softley song in first time since i were a very young boy in the school and till now and i think forever ! Many memories my life & love that i can't forget with it , just like a short film in my eyes !
I am a fan of BJH and I didn't believe that this video would exist. Thanks for uploading. Very good quality of image & sound for one of the most loved songs of all time. Sweet memories from youth.
Yes , it certainly brings a tear to my eyes. I first saw BJH was in 1976 at Newcastle city hall . I never saw them again until 2018 at the Sage Gateshead and still awesome.
One of my late friends died at the start of 2020 and one abiding memory was tearing down to London in my 1100 and his mini to see BJH at the Tower Of London - and BJH always brings back great memories of him telling me how great they were and listening to them in his bedroom. Oh and the concert was cut short due to the ceremony of the keys!
Its my lovely bands for the pass...John Lees is excellent vocals and guitar players...that song for me is the No1 forever and ever... and this version is amazing!
Thank you so much for uploading this!!! My dad passed four years ago tomorrow, my best friend my everything💜 He was the true music man… the lyrics would draw him in. His two top faves were BJH and the Moody’s! (Actually went to two Moodys concerts with my parents when I was 14 and 17 never truly appreciating until I got older) He would love that I could sing right along with him, never sounding as good😊 ….. This brought the tears I have been pushing down for a while because I can still hear him harmonize right with them! Happy tears knowing he is in a better place and WILL ALWAYS live on in my heart, memories and in the music💜💜 #cancersucks
I am convinced too, that your caring dad will always be with you. You will meet him again and are already doing so in your heart as you wrote. Lots of love to you and to all soft hearted souls.
My dad passed away 6 weeks ago, I do miss him every day. Listening to music, he liked, brings back memories and there's these words, I like to keep in mind: Memories are like a window through which I can see you, whenever I want.
The most underrated prog band ever ...
💙🕊️🕯️je suis bien d'accord !!!ils sont incroyables, mon groupe préféré quand j'étais adolescente.

Underrated unfortunately.......👍👍
Yes, the band name is pure magic. It means so much.
Much respect to The Moody Blues to say to them - 'brilliant, do it. Feel free!'.
👍👍👍🙂💖😎
You got that right

I danced with this song before 40 years with a girl when I was 17.
Now I am 57 and those girl is my wife.
Same here, but l dumped her when she supported Trump in 2016.

Barclay James Harvest should have been so much bigger worldwide than they were - So many incredible songs - Same goes for The Strawbs - 2 of the best bands - musically and lyrically - ever
Yes! Strawbs also rocked. Both of these bands deserved a better fate. They never sold out, but their fans are loyal forever.
My older brother and WNEW FM radio in NYC introduced me to both bands, couldn’t agree more. Used to go to Greenwich Village to buy BJH import albums, hard to find their albums in the states
Both bands that were my favourites back in the 70s - and still are now I'm approaching my OWN 70s!
Strawbs were incredibaly good... Heroe & Heroin... Awesome
I agree 100 %

Without doubt the best UK group who did not receive the deserved acclaim in UK
BJH are completely unknown here in the U.S. of A.
@@stergiosserres6680 Very high in Germany in the early 80s.
The Worlds finest musicians fused into one great band... John Lees's guitar work is a masterclass on every song they recorded or performed...
I wish I could give more than one like on this. Absolutely masterpiece!
This song is my most favorite song when I was high school in 1980. Still I love this song,,, and forever..
One of my all time favourite bands. Lucky enough to see them live several times in the 70’s. Just magic !
Never saw them live unfortunately. One of my all time favorite band

The most underrated concert in music history.

This is most likely the greatest rock band that I’ve never heard of. Exploring their catalog now. 🎸🤘
Up there with ELP and Pin kFloyd, and like you say, no ones heard of them.
Ive listened tot hem since the early 1970's
Years ago, and so many absent friends now. The music lives on.

j'étais au concert pendant mon service militaire en 1980 à Grenoble. Inoubliable, que de souvenirs
It's one of those times where the live version is so much better than the studio one. Timeless and immortal melody.

"Poor Man's Moody Blues"
All the nights that I've missed you
All the nights without end
All the times that I've called you
Only needing a friend
Now your eyes shine with beauty
That I missed long ago
Guess the truth is I love you
I can't say any more
'Cause I need you
Yes I want you
Yes I love you
As I look from my window
To the streets where you stand
I am gazing through dark glass
We can't walk hand in hand
Though your friends try to tell me
Though your friends you defend
They keep my heart from your heart
We must be in the end
'Cause I love you
Yes I need you
Yes I love you
All the nights that I've missed you
All the nights without end
All the times that I've called you
Only needing a friend
Now your eyes shine with beauty
That I missed long ago
Guess the truth is I love you
I can't say any more
'Cause I need you
Yes I want you
Yes I love you
'Cause I need you
Yes I want you
Yes I love you, love you
Love you
