I installed the nest handler on the large egg and the dome will not fully open. It hits the braces. How do I make the adjustments?

the hinges on the XL seem under built and have alot of flex. As soon as I used the egg the first time the Bite went out of adjustment and the dome lid slipped by 1/4 inch. Any remedy, please?
