Ska-blam is more playful, Three-horn-circus is just goofy and fun, and this one feels like the most serious out of the trio. Loving all the new songs, really hope we get more soon!
Just a lil amendment but the band actually has 7 members, just their album cover only shows 3 unfortunately. I'm sure once artbooks for the DLC come out (in japan) we'll get to learn the rest of their members. Not really. Swing rhythm is used in Jazz, This has more of a Rockabilly rhythm to it (Its in the song name) which has a larger emphasis on instrumentals. It's a faster tempo that fits the atmosphere of a Splatoon battle. Swing rhythm is slower which has a 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 rhythm. Speaking as a Guitarist here because the blues goes so HARD for this song especially :)

The song gives donkey kong vibes because it has a swung rhythm, the drums sometimes play the tom drums, and there's brass instruments play some bluesy licks

@@jomaq9233 It's a bug where normal battles are using Grand Fest music selection logic (like how new stages and music would show up more often at the beginning of a season) for which songs will play, despite the fest not starting yet. This is based on ID: currently, song ID 12 has a 25% chance of playing, while song IDs 11 and under have a 75% chance of playing instead. This also means songs with IDs higher than 12 are excluded. Rockagilly Blues just happens to occupy ID#12. By extension, this also implies we're getting a new battle song for the Grand Fest, since we currently have 11 songs that have played in a Splatfest (including Calamari Inkantation and Fly Octo Fly). It would be 12 if we include both normal and Spicy Calamari Inkantation, so we'll just have to see.
Of all S3 battle music bands, Yoko & The Gold Bazookas gotta be my favorite. I mean just listen to 0:43. This is literally peak. The hammond organ in the mix just ties everything together, too. I appreciate the splatoon composers trying a different genre and they did it so well. I like how it doesn't just feel like a copy of Ink Theory, but rather its own unique sound. Also can we appreciate that Tao Blu (the band's trombonist) is a blue-ringed octopus, which is one of the deadliest poisonous creatures in the sea? She's so freaking cool and we love her. Also, a neat pun with her being a blue-ringed octopus and she plays *blues*. :]
Yoko and the gold bazookas somehow reminds me of Bottom feeders, like a mix of them and ink theory. Something about the way these songs use their vocals
