Well, you mentioned Josh and I suspect it is the same person I've been talking to for a better part of a year. He is very easy to talk to and I'm hoping to join you somewhere on the road. We were almost ready to order an Oliver Elite II in the late summer of 2020. We were also caregivers for our precious parents. We were able to camp local on occasion and have enjoyed camping for years. So I reasoned that we could buy the Oliver and use it that way. Then I found a used Oliver for sale. It was only about 150 miles from home and the options that the owner had purchased were very close to what I had in mind. We went and looked at it and it was as clean as new. It had only been camped in twice. The owner had stored it in an enclosed garage and had taken very good care of it. So we purchased it and have enjoyed it very much. Oliver trailers are as nice as they appear to be.
Did you decide to go with the Compost Toilet since you are doing some boondocking? I'm trying to decide which is best for us. Thank-you for doing the video.
We own hull #1373 and we chose the composting toilet. We never have to wait in the line at the dump station, we don't flush half of our fresh water down the toilet, which extends the amount of water we have for other uses when remote camping. We use a garden hose adaptor on our waste tank drain since it's gray only. It's safe and legal to dump gray water on the ground. The composting toilet is very easy to maintain. If you aren't using it very often you just have to add a pint of water about once a month to keep the medial moist. We empty the solids container about once each season. We probably use the campground facilities about 50% of the time. We would never go back to a standard toilet. Hope this helps.
We are very happy with our choice of the composting toilet although initially we were apprehensive. Now in hind sight, no odors, no black tank nightmares, and no black tank limitations.
Looking at this myself and will do a tour. Just wonder how Oliver get new owners to make these testimonial statesments. From what I have seen, their actually at Oliver's manufactoring factory. And really have not used the trailer for an extended lenght of time.
Actually most of these are at the Oliver Rally at Lake Guntersville S.P. In Alabama. About 300 Olivers showed up from all over the country, it was amazing! We were there, Steve&Sylvia, Hull #428, “Happy Trails”🤗
