►2023 Northern Lite 10-2 EX SE Dry Bath, We bought it in June 2023.
►2020 Lance 1172 - We purchased from Southland RV in Atlanta, GA - July 2022 before our 3 week trip out west. Sold it in June 2023.
►2020 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper - We got our 2020 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper in October 2021. We were contacted by a couple of subscribers (now good friends) who had theirs up for sale in Upstate New York so we headed out on an adventure. We sold our 2014 Bigfoot 10.4 within one day of listing it online.
►2014 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper - We got our 2014 Bigfoot 10.4 in August 2021 from RVOne near Charlotte, NC. Todd was headed to buy a brand new Bigfoot 10.4 just before we got the Lance 975 but when he got to Southland RV, it was sold. That's when we decided to go to the Lance 975. We knew at some point in the future we'd have a Bigfoot again and here it is.
►2021 Lance 975 - We got our new 2021 Lance 975 from Chattanooga Fish n Fun in Hixson, TN in August 2020. After looking at several models, we decided on the Lance 975. - Авто та транспорт
I absolutely love it EXCEPT FOR the wet bath.
Wait for second generation. It is going to be a big issue with buyers and manufacture will get wise.
what is wrong with wet bath?
Alright you would think that they would have it like an Airstream camper add toilet sink on one side and the other side of the shower that would be better in this camper! ❤️🖤♥️🖤❤️🌹
Agree.
Thanks for the tour. Lost me with the bathroom. I would think a trailer of this size would have a dry bath. Looks nice....
Actually, their first prototype had a dry bath of sorts. A toilet in one room and a shower in another across the center aisle . IIR, feedback from existing and potential customers changed their mind and they went with a larger, better layout for the galley.
same here I dont like the step going into the bathroom
I don’t think 65 grand is a fair price
@kimdagnillshould be moreo8246
$65k is simply ridiculous.
Oliver cost more than escape! But , built better.
I’ve seen a lot of campers out there. I really thought this was gonna be like 125,000.
@@kirkbierl2552
It’s a bit pricey for the size unit . But, it will last decades! It’s built in Canada. Most fiberglass RV units are pick up at factory.
Fiberglass isn’t cheap. Have you priced a new boat lately? 50 k would be better! But …… 🤷🏼♂️
Imho it aint worth the $$ in fact most rv,s aint these days. The lexan windows and fiberglass nicest features everything else same rv junk.
I lived in a 24 foot long Airstream travel trailer, and for 5 years, with a husband and child. I could live in that one.
Escape worked with the public, canvassing prospective buyers in floorplan selection and options...I was one. Great job!!!
AND they are Proudly MADE IN CHILLIWACK, BC CANADA! 🇨🇦 🍻
Oliver is made in Tenn.
@@jamesi9463 it's not an Oliver
Wow. What a nice travel trailer! Very well laid out.
Thanks for posting this video. Congratulations to Escape for finally releasing the long awaited Escape 23. Fortunately I’m glad we didn’t wait for one and went with a Bigfoot 25 instead. I can’t believe they still went with a wet bath in a 23’.
Wow, what a major upgrade from the previous Escape! Absolutely love it and it is on my list to see in person. Great video, thanks so much for sharing!
Having a tongue storage box is nice. I wish my Casita had awning style windows but I do wonder how scratch resistant plastic windows are. Dual 200 watt solar panels are nice to have. Seelevel tank monitors, Victron controls are top notch. Normally i’m not a fan of bathrooms across from the kitchen because the kitchen space is claustrophobic but that Escape is wide enough to solve that problem. Seems like there is plenty of counter space. Having 200Ah of Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries is awesome. I couldn’t see the entire spec sheet at the end of your video but saw enough to be pretty impressed by the Escape 23, thanks guys for posting this.
Great video you guys! Thank you so much for taking the time and touring the E23, it was so nice to meet you at the rally!
Really liked this one except for the shower space
$65k USD (OUCH!)
Length 24’11”
6000 GVWR
Judging by many of the comments campers are not nice people. Nice job by the reviewers. Thank you for the tour.
Hi Carla and Todd! Loved the tour of the E23!!! Looks like we missed a wonderful rally. Sherry knows how to coordinate an amazing rally. So much to love about the E23. Probably a bit too big for Laura and I, but they are gems!!!
Thanks for showing this camper.
Nice camper thanks guys!
Thanks for the tour! My wife and I went on owner-led tours of the E19 and E21C when we first started looking at fiberglass trailers. We decided on the Oliver LE2 because of its quality and it's built by a family owned, American company one state away from us. That said, it looks like Escape has stepped up their game with the E23. I especially like the width and tank sizes in this camper.
and what state is that?
@@gosman949Oliver Travel Trailers is located in Hohenwald, TN
Great review! My only complaint about that unit is the exposed fresh water tank. I was hoping they would find a way to enclose it. I've already dealt with frozen tanks this winter. No fun. Thanks!
Having the complete underside covered in a spray-foam insulation is one of the options from Escape Trailers. This owner chose not to get that option. The u detside insulation would cover all the piping and tanks.
@@harveytherv1 , yeah I was aware of their spray foam solution. I was just hoping they might do a little better on the new model. The foam is effective but rather ugly.
@@gwwj and unless heated, will not do the job.
Amen! I want to travel full time in this but, the floor and the underneath need to be heated and covered.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing 😊
This company knows what they're doing! Great trailer from a great Canadian company!
Thank you so much!
Wow!
It looks great! Thx
They make an excellent camper
You could have a party inside! Didn't have a chance to see it in person at Live Oak, so thanks for giving us a tour.
This was great!!!
Great video, never heard of an Escape and now I'm Interested.
Nice trailer, and nice video! Thanks guys! M&K
This is really cool! I like it!😊
Thank you, for the tour. You showed everything, i'm a new subscriber. With that White interior, this is just beautiful! Thanks🎉
Beautiful review!
Great looking little rig.
Thank you!!
That’s fun.
At 12:42 it seems like there's a decent size gap going into the bathroom. Maybe it's just a camera angle thing, but that doesn't seem great for a wet bath. Otherwise I love it and wish I had one in my driveway! Thanks for the video.
That gap is for ventilation. There’s a shower curtain inside the bathroom that goes across the door opening to keep the water in the bathroom.
Thanks for a nice video on the new model. We've had two A-frame pop-ups and we're currently 1/4 owners of a park model RV. Getting closer to retirement and starting to seriously talk about what's next. We will probably rent a few different types of RVs and narrow down our choices before we make a decision. Always appreciate your videos.
Very kewl and it comes in twin beds if desired. Thanks Roses - nice to see you go through it.
I'd enjoy seeing that 5.0 fifth wheel, Todd.
You left me wanting more. Please open the cabinets and drawers so we can see inside.
Wow thats a nice camper! Whats the price range please? I always thought that they were kind of cheap-looking, but WOW its looks high end! Beautiful thank you for sharing this with us 🖤🥰🌹♥️❤️🖤🥰♥️❤️
push the fridge over a foot to get the dry bath
It was news to me to hear that Northern Lite is also making a fiberglas trailer.
For that price, i would expect a dry bath and better cargo capacity. Hard to full-time or do long trips with a limited carrying capacity
Wow.
We have an Escape 21 for a year now. It’s way better than any comparable camper on the market. It’s made of fiberglass so it’ll last.
It is also 2/3 the price, NEW
Very nice trailer. However the deal breaker for me is the wet bath.
They build a nice trailer and I love the torsion axles, but I would like to see them incorporate more Europeon features like Acrylic windows [ those windows are usless for airflow] . Aldi heat and hot water would be nice too.
I was surprised to see the exposed water and drain lines under the camper. And would a skylight bubble in the shower be enough for added headroom?
Nice camper
I totally love it. Except for one thing. Cost !!!. More expensive than my HOUSE
I don't know where you live, but the average house price in the US is like 280k.
if they could put a full bath it would be perfect. Love the lay out
Thanks for the escape tour guys ! For that kind of money, I would spend a bit more and get a Oliver. Just me ! 😁👍
$30K more (50%)
@@patrickio8084
That’s true ! But Oliver is the Cadillac of fiberglass RV’s ! 👍😁
Nice of the owners to let you do this.
Thanks to the Roses for the video and to the owners for the tour. It’s got a nice floor plan. Curious if the escapes have the inner and outer fiberglass walls like the Oliver’s?
Escapes are wonderful campers, but do not have double-hull 4-season construction like the Olivers.
I believe Cortes Campers are double hulled = four seasons
Very nice. Sort of an Oliver vibe.
THanks for sharing. I did not realize the wet bath was so short. I am 6’2” and will have issues. THanks for that info. I would have liked to see more storage areas open to see how deep they are. The drawers under the bed; do they have pull out storage or is it just a door? The twin bed version has more over head storage in bedroom but less in the gallery. Thanks again.
Closest alternative is the Bigfoot 23. Dry bath, local dealer has a new one for $67k.
I will loose my mind if you trade into one of those! Carla, just say no. And come to Oregon, dang it!
It's pretty nice inside. I think it's nice for couples and maybe a small child. The bath is nice enough. You can sit down and shave your legs. I don't think it's for full time. So thanks for sharing and have a nice day.
Big enough to live in
Looks like a single wall (single hull) fiberglass shell with pretty traditional RV construction inside. Compare to an Oliver to get an idea of what double hull and molded in storage looks like.
Make it one foot longer and add in a hanging locker for clothes - also didn't see a TV mounted anywhere. They could also improve the look of that bathroom sink with minimal cost I would imagine. - overall though it looks like it has everything a couple or single person would want.
i"ll take a miller lite in the fridge
You say you have carpet on the ceiling io yours? Just wondering how you get the vacuum cleaner to stay up there while you vacuum? Maybe a really powerful vacuum?
If the owners take care of this camper, keeping it covered when not in use, it will last 50 years. I could live in that at the right campground. I can imagine an aluminum-cargo-rack on the back with my electric-bicycles. The advantage to such a camper is being
able to tow with something like the new 3.0 liter LZO Duramax with no worries whatsoever, and have plenty of space in the back of the truck for extra gear and toys. That all being said, I bet the company could have found a better way to mount lots of stuff on the
roof of the camper. I imagine a large aluminum grated plate where all the stuff mounts to the plate instead of the camper.
The roof of all the molded fiberglass campers, all brands, is not very strong. They are not designed to carry substantial loads on the roof. Of course, they do build reinforcement for the rooftop A/C, but that’s it. So, to add a roof rack storage of some kind is not wise, not just Escape, but all of the brands
Nice camper! You guys are awesome
Night shades should be from the bottom up. Allows privacy and airflow if not entirely closed. Top down leaves privacy issues with the screen a the bottom.
"Must be towed in a level attitude!" You travel Alaska roads, how is anyone going to get into an Alaskan campsite at a level attitude or not stress the frame or fiberglass with those torsion axles? Beautiful unit inside and out but not for most "country" campsites.
Absolutely beautiful and classy looking, my only complaint is that sink in the bathroom looks very cheap compared to the rest of the trailer… price is good too! 👍🏻🇨🇦
Y'all are consistent; you don't know what you're looking at.
Is she taking zannex? 6'3 Numb and fun. Wanna go camping with me?
It is very nice, around how much do they go for?
Small table for a large dinette. I'm 6' 2" 225 lbs that bathroom looks really small also. I like the trailer but would definately change a few things.
$65,000 for a no slide RV with nothing but a bed, an uncomfortable “1960’s diner” booth dinette and a cheap looking wet bath😂😂😂
Open cabinets, fridge more, closet, etc. please
Ok so the overhead storage cupboards, do they stay open when they're opened? If not, that is a deal breaker for me.
We were on the list for awhile and then backed out.
Hey Runaway Rose's from a fan. I've been looking for a used Bigfoot 21RB, but WOW! What would you do if you were me, trying to trade in an upside down Ember 221MDB. Any info would help. Thanks and God Bless ya'll!
Any access to the bottom from the bottom or is it sealed like your NL?
Camper built in Canada and doesn’t have an enclosed heated underbelly is weird. Deal breaker for me.
Hello Deepnature, we own an Escape 21C and the entire trailer under carriage is completely insulated. Obviously the owners who purchased this Escape 23 reside in Florida and opted "not" to have this option on their trailer. Guaranteed that you can have any new upcoming built Escape 23 insulated. These trailers built in Western Canada are second to none in my opinion. Proud Escape owner.
@@rolandnolette2279 That’s good to know. Thanks for the info. Do these condensate in the winter like the Casitas or are the walls and roof insulated? I love the concept of fiberglass trailers but the condensation issues I see videos about is a concern.
👍👍
on the E23, if you see it... it's standard.
Perfect except for bathroom
Tip outs would’ve made this real nice
If you are referring to “slide outs”, that is, space that slide out of the sides to make extra room inside? If so, that defeats some of the very large benefits of the molded fiberglass campers. That is, overall integrity and water proofness.and light weight. The shell of these campers will last a very long time, preserving the interior construction as well. If they cut a full wall hole in the side to make a slide-out, they will have ruined that integrity. Water leakage, rotting interiors, complex slide mechanisms failing and lots of extra weight all follow.
Can not afford it, but its real nice !
I hear that ! All the fiberglass units are really nice ! Even Casita and Scamp prices have soared! 😳
I really like this, it reminds me a little pf the nucamp altria that they made only 1 year. For me the Bathroom was an issue, that step up ( which likely was for the tanks ir the water heater) is bad design. You cant design for a 5' 6" person, it should be designed for a 6' person. The Altria had a unique barhroom design they could have adopted for example.
It needs a larger DRY BATH!!!!
Take Your Shoes off and gain 1&1/2"!
I heard the steps are Lippert? Is the frame Lippert as well?
if that's new, they might want to do some quality control on where the solar panels mount to the roof. That looks like garbage. at 5:28
...One day they will build a camper real people can afford.
great for 2 i suppose. what about a family camper?
Would be nice to have a larger door opening to get stuff in and out.
Lost me at the snipped corner bed and wet bath. The price is crazy too.
Is that background noise the air conditioner? You expect a quieter system for the price of this unit.
Any outside storage
The night shade and screen on the windows are ass backwards. Other than that it’s a nice RV. Almost bought one. Ended up with a TAB 400 instead. Thanks 👍👍
Nucamp makes a nice RV, well.made. several yrs ago they introduced a model similar to.this called the Altria that sadly didn't make it. It was a class unit, they had the toilet/sink on one side, the shower on the other, and there was a pocket door across the aisle that could turn that into one room. The toilet and shower had a door so it would return to being 2 separate rooms.
A real nice 1 person camper.
What ?
Nifty trailer. I don’t mind a wet bath but this one, like most wet baths, is way too small. I like the dinette layout and I really like the fiberglass body, but it is definitely too rich for my blood.
What's with the poles holding up the cabinets? Should have a dry bath for that size trailer and a slide out too. Way over priced at $65,000.00
Does this trailer have a twin bed option
I believe they do but you would have to contact Escape to confirm. Thanks for watching!
Bought my 3 bed 2 bath home for this price !!
No access to storage from the outside? Wet bath. We've been waiting to see this 23ft, glad we bought something else. No thanks.
