FYI, the Oliver is a TRUE four seasons travel trailer. We have stayed comfortably inside our Legacy Elite 2 in 20 to 95 degree weather. All the tanks and drains are located within the dual fiberglass structure. No frozen pipes or tanks. Think of the Oliver as a giant Yeti cooler, well insulated to keep you comfortable inside no matter what the temperature is outside.
You missed a couple of hidden storage areas. For a small camper it really has nice storage space. After researching Oliver’s for a couple years, I just bought mine a couple weeks ago. I love it! The quality of these campers are excellent. I love being able to camp anywhere with it. Well worth the money.
We own an Oliver LE2 and purchased it new in 2020. Everything we need and nothing we don’t. A great TT!
Thanks for the great tour video. We are a year in to hull #1373 and would never go back to a stick and staple camper. This thing pulls like it's not even there. Never effected by "wash" from semis and runs straight and true behind the truck regardless of conditions, even without sway control. I'm 6'2" and find everything about the camper very comfortable. No I don't spend a lot of time in the wet bath, but why would you. Get in get done, get out. Every aspect of the design is functional and with a purpose. Had a 34" Jayco with super slide a few years back. Never again. The Legacy Elite 2 is the perfect camper for and active couple the wants to explore widely.
I think those are for going between the mattresses and the mattress platform for moisture wicking and avoiding mildew or mold. I also think this is a top shelf unit for sure! The extra 30A hook up is just ultra thoughtful and says a lot. Thank you for showing us this.👍🏼😎
Yes!!
The extra 30a is also close to the genny mount.
@@WanderingWeekends Hi what type of material is that fabric?
We own a Casita that we love. We are huge molded fiberglass camper fans. We toured the Oliver plant (must see if you are thinking of an Oliver) and attended two of the Oliver rallies. They are exceptional campers and definitely on our short list if we decide to go a little bigger than our Casita 17.
Those Olivers have always been my favorite money doesn’t matter camper. We went camping once and they were having an Oliver meet up put on by the manufacturer so we saw a lot of them. Owners told us nothing negative at all.
Great units!
We are seriously considering one of those Olivers. Thanks for a current tour.
Great trailers!
The idea behind the second 30 amp hook up is for your generator.
Correct.
If you have an F-150 with ProPower (onboard 7.2kW), seems like you could tie that in there also.
Top tier quality for sure, we have a casita fiberglass camper currently. We will be upgrading in the near future & Oliver is definitely in the running! Great video showing all the ins & outs.
Casitas are cool little trailers too!!
You need to do a factory tour. Knowledge is everything. 😊
We looked at the same model , it’s nice but cramped for us . Being 6’4 it was pretty low feeling. We liked the Bigfoot better .
Den-Dry makes them as well as another company. Throw it under your mattress for airflow, prevents mold. Awesome they already include it, but for the price point the should.
We have a winner!
Larger fridge, or freezer, deeper sink. Would be perfect. Thank you. Please consider.
Oliver travel trailers are nice but I believe the "Bigfoot" travel trailer has it beat because of the dry bath.
I’ll guess that it is cut to fit the floor on the trailer to protect the floors especially in winter
Good guess but no…
Would love to see the small one.
I’ll be going back in a few weeks!
Not 100% sure but I believe, what you called a screen, is actually a day shade.
Would love to see your opinion on those airstreams.
I’ll be visiting Southland from time to time. I’ll definitely do some Airstreams!!
This is a beautiful trailer. My only objection is the wet bath…far too small & cramped. My vote for the best built trailer would be any of the PAUSE rigs (16.4 - 20.3). 👍
Really the entire unit is tight. Quality over quantity for this one.
Very nice! What is the trailer directly behind it?
A Bigfoot RV! ua-cam.com/video/Jm1XI-hp5g0/v-deo.htmlsi=cNXnedIpho0GWUES
I like the Oliver. My wife not so much. When she found out it was a wet bath, she was not interested. I’ve never owned a wet bath, so I may be the same way after using one. The wet bath and the sticker shock took it off our list.
For that price, i think the palomino reboot is a better buy. Insulation is just as good, superior suspension. Independent, non airbag.
No doubt it's the best built trailer made. Not even close. They have addressed so many things. It really is a work of art. That being said, it's tiny. I had the opportunity to check one out last summer. New owners showed it to me at a Campground in Boothebay Maine. Beautiful trailer but too small. The gentleman was quite tall and he struggled with headroom. Bathroom is tiny. Interior is confined. We were very seriously considering one for our retirement but once I seen one in person...it was obviously too small for us. Too bad because we love quality and this is quality.
Hi I understand it's twice the price of an Intech Sol Horizon Rover but what is the advantage of this trailer over something like the Horizon Rover? What does the intech lack that this has?
@@hellapellanyc6465 I have looked at Intech closely at the dealer. We had pretty much decided to buy a Terra. Its a nice trailer but not the quality of an Oliver. The Intechs are not insulated. The only have a layer of foil in the walls. I crawled under the Intech and I noticed cracks in the welds of the frame. Not large ones but enough for me to pass. I did like the wet bath of the Horizon. Its a nice size.
You would have to see an Oliver in person to truly appreciate the quality of the Trailer. If it were larger in width and height there would be one in my driveway.
I ended up buying a Flagstaff. For an Indiana trailer, it is of above average quality with many creature comforts. We are more than likely going to end up with a Bigfoot in retirement.
How would you attach a WDH?
Id be interested to see what Oliver recommends
@@WanderingWeekends The Anderson WD hitch is the standard that Oliver sells with the camper if a buyer need weight distribution. That system has worked very well since the very earliest Olivers made.
Well built for sure, but im not convinced it is better built than bigfoot and the bigfoot has a much better floorplan with dry bath. Bigfoot is a bit bigger and hard to get. So northwoods it is.
I’m a fan of Oliver trailers. Very well built. But with 4 kids and a dog it’s not a trailer for us lol
Same for us. I wish they built something a little larger.
As an Oliver Legacy Elite 2 owner, I can tell you yes, it is a very well made travel trailer. Maybe not the best layout or size for everyone but so well made. We take ours anywhere, anytime. Hot or cold doesn’t matter, it’s so well insulated. And customer support is excellent. Yearly owners meeting also is a great time for Q&A. Take the factory tour in Tennessee, see for yourself.
Hypervent! Hull 1405
Call it miners moss. Catches dirt before you walk in the camper.
Good guess but take a look how they’re cut…
What was in the closet?
It’s a sign that says “watch the video and listen “.
Seems to me the water hookups will get all the dirt from the road? 🤮
Yeah, I thought the same. They’ve been doing it awhile. I guess it isn’t a huge problem.
They have threaded caps with seals. When I hook up, I rinse the connections, remove the caps and connect the water lines. It's such a non issue that I never even thought anything about it.
That has never once been an issue.
Yes and no. I bought an Airstream in the end.
Bad AC noise. They should have ducked the AC.
I’d argue the Oliver builds are better quality than Airstream but Airstream definitely has better floorplan options, specifically if you need more interior space.
@@WanderingWeekends I tested both out and Oliver had too little space for the buck. They are overpriced for a fiberglass. They both town nice, but in the end they just could not top an Airstream.
way too small for the money
That’s subjective… many folks love getting into places larger units can’t go. Also consider the wider range of tow vehicles equipped to tow these trailers.
I moved from a 40’ 5th wheel to our Oliver, I will never go back. I can get into any spot I want, it’s the best built trailer out there in my opinion.
It's all very subjective and depends on what's important to your type of camping. We like quality and reliability. We also like not having to deal with size restrictions at state and national parks, many of which will turn you away if you are over 25ft. A nice bass boat like a Skeeter starts out at $100K and goes up with accessories. A Porsche 911 can run you $250K and more and only seats two and very little luggage. Quality is something you will always have to pay for. Giant cardboard boxes that fall apart when you use them are a dime a dozen. We all pay for what's important to us.
Some people prefer quality over quantity.
@@matthewhenderson5070 Quality seems to be an even more important consideration since Covid and all the Full-Timer influencers blew up RV demand. Quality has not been a triumph in the industry lately. Oliver and perhaps a few others are seeming exceptions.
