- Join my family and I for a cruise on the Carnival Freedom! We went on the 5-day Eastern Caribbean cruise in May 2023. There were 2 days at sea and 2 port days (at Amber Cove and Grand Turk). I am taking my first cruise in December on the same ship and to the same ports. How do you bring the cans of soda on board? I guess we have to carry them? Looks like you had a fun time. Can't wait!
Yes you have to keep them separate from your stuff! To my knowledge, they must be in an un-opened case and keep the case of cans out so they can see it when it goes through security. Same goes for wine if you bring a bottle! Keep it outside of your bags. I hope you have a great time!

I just booked and hearing so many mixed things about this ship, can you tell me pros and cons from your experience.
So excited for you! It is a great ship and the current Cruise Director, Andy, is the best ever. It’s a bit smaller than other Carnival ships so there’s not as much to do (there’s still a ton though), and because it’s smaller, I felt the movement more. It’s also very old fashioned looking so if you prefer the modern, bright look, you won’t like this one as much. I wouldn’t go on this ship again, but I would totally go again if Andy is still the Cruise Director!

Did you take yoir canned soda and wine on the plane with you?
No we picked it up once we got there! We Ubered from the airport to Walmart and then we Ubered back to the airport to get the rest of our family but you could always just Uber straight to the pier from there
Do they still have vaccination requirements for Grand Turk?
No! I think that carnival has them for cruises of either more than 7 days or 12 days though, but I’m not positive, so I recommend looking on their website!
Do u need credit card when u go go in on thr cruise
Only if you want it at the ports! Everything else you can charge via your sail card. I brought mine just in case but I don’t think I ended up using it
Is there a dress code for dinner?
Yes, I think so. I recommend looking it up though cause I'm not positive what it is! I wore dresses every night cause I wanted to so I'm not actually sure what the dress code is. We had one formal night.
