Mountain West Football - arguably the strongest "Group of Five" Conference in all of NCAA FBS Football!
We've ranked all logos of the Mtn West Conference - including Oregon State and Washington State, carry overs from the dismantling of the PAC-12 Conference. OSU And WSU have reached a scheduling agreement with the Mountain West Conference for the 2024 football season.

Also, without spoiling the ranking with a time stamp, it's implied when I mention Boise State that they defeated Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl as a member of the Mountain West. Boise State was, in fact, a member of the WAC at the time. Oops; carry on.

No surprise seeing UNLV in last, getting rid of Hey Reb (the mountain man) has been terrible for athletics branding. School has come out and said they aren't actively expanding/rebranding and just sticking with the boring logo. Great video overall!

Love watching Mountain West athletics! Basketball, Football, you name it. Great stuff in this conference. Wyoming, Utah State, San Diego State are my favorites to watch and Ill love seeing Wazzou and Oregon State add ons too. Super happy you added the Pac 2 to this conference!
As for UNLV they wanted to distance themselves from the rebel due to the overall general feeling to go away from the confederacy across the United States. But they also didnt really want to actually change the team name
Felt Washington State would pull out the #1 but I wont be mad about Wyoming taking it. For me WSU is perhaps the best logo in all Division 1, but Wyoming's logo is clearly iconic so I totally get it. MountainWest is one of the best conferences for logos. Just an awesome conference
But yeah, keep the videos coming, continuing to love your content! Im still backtracking to your older videos for baseball leagues and yeah its all good!
wyoming's 'steamboat' logo is top 5 or 10 nationally. cool, unique, classic, historic, been used forever.
Can't wait for the Sun Belt video. Marshall has some very interesting logo history. Definitely check out the 'Young Thundering Herd' Logo used in 1971 after the Marshall Plane Crash and still used each year during the memorial game.
Steamboat has to be number 1. I agree with that assessment.
Please do the Atlantic 10, with George Washington, George Mason, VCU, Dayton, etc.
I feel like a really fun idea would be to group universities with similar mascots (like tigers, bears, etc) and rank those for the definitive “Best *insert mascot* logo!”

If you can find a conference that has anymore bland logos than the MW let me know. The worst is the simple B for Boise State. If they paid a consultant more than 10 cents for this logo, they go screwed. Just plain awful and generic: BSU, USU, Air Force, Nevada, UNLV,

Personally, I would move Wyoming down to maybe 5, it just looks like clipart to me. Washington State deserves to be #1
Uhmm… you need to re-do and re-release this video, because you totally ignored Utah State’s “Bull“ logo that they released with this new U-State branding!
You talked in great detail about both the lettering of every school, and also the mascot logos. But you can almost completely ignored the new Utah State logos. If you’re going to do videos like this, you had better be thorough. I can’t believe it.

Appreciate the feedback. I believe the Bull logo you mentioned falls under Utah State's brand standards which I didn't mention specifically in the video: www.usu.edu/brand/standards/logos/aggie-athletics
Utah State has some good alternate logos and has used great primary logos in the past, however for these rankings I'm just looking at the current primary logos of a given conference. No disrespect to USU but I just enjoy some of the other logos better!
