The animal thingies are SKZOO (skiz-zoo) -- their animal avatars (lbr, their fursonas), basically. There's a ton of merch for them (of course), but they're also in things like the teased animated version of the MV. AND they also exist in real-life costume (fursuit) form, which SKZ will occasionally don and then film the most serious, professional, straight-faced performances for tiktok or fake Studio Choom videos or whatever. The SKZOO "Thunderous," in particular, is legendary, just massive chaos everywhere (it has to be watched multiple times, on slo-mo, to catch everything), all while their facial expressions look like they're performing for the president at a state dinner.
Anyway, in the choreo, the animals are all positioned in the same spots as the members they represent.
Bang Chan: "Wolf Chan" (wolf)
Lee Know: "Leebit" (rabbit)
Changbin: "Dwaekki" (pig/rabbit hybrid)
Hyunjin: "Jiniret" (ferret)

please listen to this entire album bc it's crazy, me being a stay aside this is insanity fr... if u REALLY can't listen to all of it, I recommend ITEM, GET LIT, Super Bowl and Hall of Fame... oh and TOPLINE (pls lmao this is basically the entire album but it's honestly way too good)
Hhahaha I've been there where someone says which song I should listen to & I just list the album in order lol
"Hall of Fame", please, I'm in love with that one, I did well in going in order the first time hearing the album because, I mean, artists/creators put things in order for a reason (unless you're Julio Cortázar with "Rayuela" and you're like you can follow this order or do whatever you want to read this, and even then!) and "Hall of Fame" is amazing for so many reasons but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't heard it yet.
But yes, the whole album is amazing!! I want to mention "DLC" because I really enjoyed a lot of what they do there, some of it reminds me of what I associate with house music, and besides, the lyrics might seem simple because there's a lot of repetition but there are a few lines that I think give a deeper meaning (it helps to have the unveil to go with it).
You're so real for saying someone has to check on them, they work so so hard it's crazy how much music they make. And it's all bangers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The vocals are on fire like never before it's like SSS+ Class.
People are so quick to consume the content while forgetting what all the creator puts themselves through to deliver said content
first off - great reaction, 2ndly - YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE SKZOO!! It is their 'animal' representation, and their SKZOO (yes, them, in full animal costume) choreo pieces are LEGENDARY!! "Thunderous" especially comes into mind.. the fact that they go -hard- in these oversized costumes, it's just so, so, SO fun to watch!! I believe it's namely from Studio Choom, and have seen many able to react to it. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't see these, whether you post them on youtube or not lmfao - you've gotta see it. I think they go full costume for Thunderous and Gods Menu, and I'm personally hoping they do the same for S-Class b/c it's just so absurd, it's peak comedy.

Despite the reveals for this song - I was still pulling a shocked Pikachu face when I actually heard the whole song for the first time! lol Add the MV to it and I was lost to their mastery once again... So many details in the sound that I find something I missed each time I listen to it. The whole album is so frickin' amazing!!
🤣🤣🤣 so my reaction too - whiplash! And yes of course I was there to the end. With each repeated listen this song gets better and better, partly because you have time to absorb those lyrics and not just be "assaulted"! Their voices have developed/matured so much over the years and like you I love each of their featured moments. And what a shoutout they've given to STAY in this - that they are special because of their fans. I also love their admonition to be the shining yourself, not chase something else shiny. So good.

Here's some Lore Explanation from my perspective!
The mirror breaking kind of reminds me of the SKZ Lore from I am NOT where they broke out of the "societal norms" and chan shattered the dome by driving through it with a bus! The Guard looks like he's from the Shin Menu marching band. The cake might be a reference to Felix's cake in Mixtape: OH and The View MV where he makes a wish for SKZ to all be together and it comes true respectively - maybe a hint that theyre continuing their SKZverse Lore of them being clones and IN being the only one who knows the truth? (He's the only one who introduced himself by name in I Am Ground, maybe thats why? And even in this song, he has this unsettling smile the whole time they're dancing and he has the only actual melancholy sounding line about being the brightest star - IN was described by Chan as an oracle in the SKZ Lore-). Even the people in black hoods seem like versions of the white hooded figures from their I am NOT and Back Door videos. Theres the blue fire and the lion dancers from Thunderous as well in that same scene. maybe all the metal can type things we see flying around in the Safe scenes are references to the tin cans Lee Know was chucking at Felix in the Oddinary trailer (maybe another subtle hint that these are the characters from Oddinary and not real SKZ themselves? Or that they've somehow merged after the incidents in Maxident?) Maybe the First Class (Xmen reference like you said) might be another subtle hint that the guys are all from a different part of the multiverse - theyre lore has consistently been about clones, and multiverses, so I think it might fit? We even get to physically see the clones in the chorus dance scenes, just like in circus! (i think the moon may have the meaning of transcending just one world, but also Seungmin made a joke about wanting to go to the moon in an interview so maybe this is a shoutout to that!) Them dancing on the streets could also be a callback to when they used to make street videos for their songs back in their predebut and trainee days. The red lights in Oddinary always hinted at the Evil/Clone versions of SKZ which is interesting to see here. All the fire distortions also remind us of circus and the clones there too. There;s even a skateboard that you peek that reminds us of superboard at some point. And when Felix takes off his sunglasses and the scenes change, it could be a hint about how Felix is the conductor seeing the multiverse and clones because that was kind of his role in Oddinary - being part of both worlds. The light when they pause time is kind of like that scene in Scars when they find the light of the stars that come together and it frees the ghosts - felix even says the line "our light becomes one"!
i might be totally wrong, but that's kind of what I got from this!

Hahah, I did in fact watch your entire reaction. I've said this before, I like your input about the production, it's good to know that someone that knows about what's being done in that area notices Stray Kids are unique in their approach.
Don't worry about pausing to ramble for minutes, it's understandable, there's a lot, A LOT, going on in that video. I agree with you that it's great that each member has a musically "stand out" moment.
I absolutely recommend hearing the entire album, I enjoyed it tremendously. Hm, what to recommend for reaction? All of it? LoL Ok, but I think Super Bowl would be a good pick, especially because I understand it was there to be a title track when in the end they released "God's Menu", so that might be interesting. (I haven't watched the Album Intro they uploaded on their channel yet, but I've read something about it).
Oh, and I'm sure someone pointed this out already, but that's the animated version of each member of Stray Kids, they're called SKZOO and they have a couple of things made with them (short versions of a few M/V and they themselves wore the costumes a couple of times). As someone who loves animation very, very much (my job right now involves comics, and I love my job even if for now it's small, so, yeah... obviously I'm into all that) all they do in that direction sparks my interest and skyrockets my excitement for their content and music.
So, Bang Chan's a wolf, Lee Know's a rabbit, Changbin's a dwaekki (rabbit + pig), Hyunjin's a ferret, Han's a quokka, Felix's a chick, Seungmin's a puppy and I.N's a fennec fox. They have names but I don't know all of them without checking and this comment's already long enough.

I love their SKZOOs so much! to add to your comment, their names are:
- Chan's wolf is Wolf Chan (super creative lol)
- Minho's rabbit is LeeBit (Lee from Lee Know, Bit from rabbit)
- Changbin's pig-bunny combo is Dwaekki (the combination of the Korean words for pig (dwaeji) and bunny (tokki))
- Hyunjin's ferret is Jinniret (Jinni from HyunJIN (Jin = Jinnie) and Ret from ferret)
- Han's Quokka is Han Quokka (again, super creative lol - and just to add, a Quokka is an adorable animal native to Austraila, they're marsupials and are known for being the "happiest" animal on earth because they are literally always smiling. Please, if you need a boost of serotonin, look them up, they are the cutest!)
- Felix's chick is BbokAri (pronounced bok-ar-rii) (Bbok from Felix's Korean name, Yongbok, and Ari from the Korean word for chick (byeongari))
- Seungmin's puppy is PuppyM (the M comes from SeungMin, and the members (and stay) often call him Minnie)
- Jeongin's fox is FoxI.Ny (pronounced fox-in-nee) (pretty self-explanatory, fox because he's a fox, I.N from his stage name)
Their SKZOO animals are a reflection of their personalities/appearance;
Chan is fiercely protective like a wolf and the kids are like his cubs - he is very Dad-coded,
Minho is kinda hectic and wild like a rabbit and when he smiles or smirks you can often see his two front teeth poking out,
Changbin is cute and sweet like a bunny and loves food and is quite stocky, so the combination of a pig and bunny fits him best,
Hyunjin is referred to as a weasel or ferret because he is tall and slim and wiry and moves around all slinky-like a ferret, plus he's dramatic as hell and ferrets are quite hyper little things,
Han is often referred to as a squirrel or hamster or quokka because of his cute adorable cheeks and his habit of storing food in them while he eats, plus his happiness is contagious and if you see photos of him and a quokka next to each other the resemblance is striking,
Felix is bright and cute and sweet like a chick, he's always smiling and chirping and following his members around and is just so full of love and happiness and light,
Seungmin is loyal and cute like a puppy, and he kind of looks like one with his puppy-like eyes and the way his hair flops around when he's dancing or jumping about looks like puppy ears - he's very sweet like a puppy but also just sort of crazy and a menace like a hyper-energetic puppy and he just loves to bounce around and randomly bark... so yes. a puppy,
and Jeongin is very cute like a fox and his eyes being long and narrow make him look like a fox, especially when he smiles - plus, you wouldn't know it just by looking at him because he has a very sweet almost innocent exterior, but he can be quite sly when he wants to and often says out-of-pocket things that leave his members (and stay) shocked because they're not expecting that from their sweet precious maknae lol

I've been devouring Stray Kids' content and music since January/February (although technically it's been a year since I've been checking them out). It's crazy that in the span of one month I can now call all of their SKZOOs by name without checking 😅♥️ They do match very well and they looked so cute together at the latest fan meeting.

Just for context, the animal-characters are their branded skzoo merchandise characters. Each of them have their own character in merch, and they occasionally give us little things like that with it. No kid show or anything, just merch promotion.

@@AmariLeone both! And in part personality. So Bangchan is a wolf, because he’s the leader of the pack, Lee Know is a grumpy rabbit. Changbin is ‘dwaekki’ which is a rabbit-pig because he’s like a rabbit, but also loves snacks. Hyunjin is a ferret. Han is a quokka, because have you seen his cheeks? Felix is a little sunshine yellow chick. Seungmin’s nickname is puppy, so of course he’s a dog. And I.N is a fennec Fox.
The artwork for the merch is made to look like them too, and it’s adorable. Most JYP groups have a ‘zoo’ merch line iirc.

They also occasionally do dance practices in giant SKZOO outfits - there was a hilarious THUNDEROUS one with flying paws and possibly head too, but I can't quite remember. With the amount of work they have, I would have thought climbing into giant outfits and dancing would be their least favourite thing...
