Ive been framing/siding/trimming since 2012. I do a little bit of everything and consider myself a jack of all trades but i master in framing/siding/trim. I love these vids. Lots of thing we do the same. Lift is an amazing machine and an absolute time and energy saver. Cheapest and most loyal employee ull ever hire 😆.

@Matt, keep getting em up and just think of the families raising children under them. 😎✌️✨️
Hey, Matt. Is it possible to make a video about the bracing for the roof?
When you get your truss pkg delivered, there's structural engineering diagrams in the paper work on bracing. Typical is a zig zag formation. Good 👍 luck. 😎✌️
@@shanesouza4303 thanks for the answer. I'm not a framer , I just wanted to know about the bracings
17:40 That sounded like a ICE circular saw
Quite a project.
Bang on
Lets gooooo! 👏👏👏👏👏
Are you able to cut the truss because there's a second top chord? Or because it was sheeted? Or both I guess?
Too funny............. I sort of cringed a bit when I saw that myself. My WAG is that the lookout rafters (when cross nailed to the original truss) effectively makes the truss as strong as original. I'm danm sure that he wouldn't do those cuts unless it was on the plans and would pass inspection.
Absolutely, I wouldn't do it without approval.
It's double top chord, built for it.
Link for the boots ? Thanks !
Why dont u use a hitachi coil framer for sheething. Less reload?
Any reason you guys didn't do a dropped gable end truss to just make "ladders?
When your gables are on the ground why don't you nail your 2x6 drywall backing on them to save a step later on, not critiquing, just curious
Good morning sir, witch country you are live in
Did your dad start the framing company back in the day or did you guys start it together recently?
There is an older video where he talks about it. Interesting story imo.
He's said it's his grandfather that's kind of where it started his dad has been building his whole life as Matt
Curius that not bottom flashing or sill seal is not required
Matt has shown the sill seal install in previous vids.
which ones haven't seen it yet sorry
What's the difference between outrigger and a lookout? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, lol.
Updated: They are the same............... both refer to (overhang/soffit) rafters that penetrate the outer wall. Ladder framing (for less than 12" length and lower strength) would be the type of overhang/soffit rafter that doesn't penetrate the outer wall.
👍✌
It's mind blowing why a so called custom home builder would use trusses...it doesn't make any sense!! They are junk that home could have been stick framed and a much better finish job.
