I really loved your video, sir! One suggestion I’d like to share is that, alongside government efforts to educate people, influencers and vloggers could also play a significant role. By presenting valuable knowledge in an entertaining way through their videos, we could make learning more engaging and impactful. Integrating educational content into vlogs and influencer videos could be one of the most effective strategies since people watch entertainment content daily and are often influenced by the actions and messages they see.
Well presented video. 100% agree that Driver education must be mandatory. In addition Driving license and learner permit tests should be made more rigorous. When I gave my test for Driver license in 2016 in the state of Karnataka (Bengaluru for my two wheeler and 4 wheeler), all they asked was to drive 100mt and make a right and reverse in a residential layout). The whole test was hardly a minute or under a minute. On the contrary, my driving tests in Texas & Oklahoma lasted 15 - 30 minutes where the examiner sits in passenger seat next to the driver and tests you on every aspect of driving, in addition to doing a initial safety check of the vehicle being used to take the test. If the vehicle is not found to meet the safety requirements or no insurance, then they don't even begin the test. Stark difference and lot of scope for improvement for us.
This is such an amazing video very well presented. I feel everyone should watch it. I am hoping that this video reaches to the right people so that it could be implemented at the earliest. I know it is a long way ahead and this could be a very good start. Note: I am from Hyderabad too and I’ve always thought about ways to make traffic system better in India as we lack basic civic sense when it comes to how people look at public properties.
It's sad to see that a channel with much needed coverage has only very few subscribers. You are working hard and I appreciate your efforts. I also do similar efforts but in a different way. A few points I would like to suggest- 1. Making these classes chargeable will also do the job and it will only increase the quality of the course. 2. Introduction of pointa system on drivers license. 3. Mandate dashcams on all Vehicles. 4. Mandate dashcam footage for insurance claim purposes. 5. Mandate bodycams for law enforcers. It might lead to hesitation from asking bribes. 6. Also make it a compulsory subject every year from the beginning till 12th about traffic awareness, not limited to driving bit also pedestrians. 7. Heavy penalties in all cases. 8. Most important, making government bodies accountable for their part (open potholes, protruding iron bars, improper and illogical speedbreakers and anything that jeopardizes people's lives as a result of neglect by civic bodies) BASICALLY A COMPLETE OVERHAUL OF THE SYSTEM IS REQUIRED.
1. Which politician paid you to say we've got "world class roads" @ 3:00? Your video at 1:54 shows pot-holes. The Panjagutta road you showed at 1:00 is poorly designed. Hyderabad has unregulated /illegal speed breakers and backbreaking rumble strips all over the city. (Example ua-cam.com/users/shortsVg72vxf7cR0?si=pYAuR-TWxIiySnya) 2. India gets the worst version of the car the OEM manufactures, example, the export versions of MS Swift and Kia Seltos are much safer than the cars produced for IDM (Indian Domestic Market). IDM cars not only miss out on safety but are also senselessly taxed. 3. I had the misfortune of having to call an ambulance on 5 different occasions for medical emergencies. The ambulance either took too long (twice), did not have necessary medical equipment (twice), only one time did I have a pleasant experience with an ambulance amidst chaos. You are spot on at 7:55, even driving schools teach offensive driving, it took me a while to become a defensive driver. Most never learn unfortunately.and blame infrastructure by saying "what's the point?". You missed reality completely at 8:35 and 10:15 , do you really think people would go watch anything at an RTA? Heck, people pay agents who in turn pay the officers inside to get their license, to avoid taking a test, you can barely get any work done at an RTA without being bombarded by agents who wish to make life easier for you for a low low price of INR x,xxx. Pay me and you don't have to watch a road safety course. I remember one time where my Swiggy Delivery driver who was fully geared up was caught in front of a Traffic Police Station, he had a helmet on, proper shoes, bike was fully road worthy with mirrors and no smoke. There was no reason for him to be stopped, he was forced into the police station and had to endure a 2 hour session on road safety. For the police this was just a quota to fill and a box to tick, the drivers (mostly consisting of delivery boys or lower income people) were made out to be offenders for the many cameras at the station. Your thought is great, but in a country filled with blatant corruption and dishonesty from top to bottom, any such initiatives will just be boxes to tick for departments if implemented and nothing to heed to. Do you know the process to claim 3rd party insurance when you are not at fault and the other driver has admitted negligence? It takes years for the insurance of the offender to pay out after several hearings, but somehow it is mandatory to have 3rd Party Insurance even though the insurance does not actually pay the 3rd party when harmed unless they are willing to fight it out in a civil court with a wait period to have your case heard at 4-5 years in states like Telangana/Karnataka. If it wasn't for the public outcry, the Pune Porsche case would have been swept under the rug,. This country first needs to heal and people must first feel equal. Why do I along with 100s of other bikers have to wait for CM Revanth Reddy in the blazing hot sun for 30 minutes at noon to go from his JH Mansion to his office in his convoy of 15 vehicles diesels or petrol vehicles at alarmingly high speeds? 100s of thousands of people travel across the twin cities everyday on scooters and bikes to go and wage slave to some corporate overlord who will pay no taxes, During the travel, they will encounter trucks on flyovers which have no regard to rules and policemen who do not care to enforce them, cars hogging up both lanes on tiny flyovers and not letting any bikes pass, illegal back breaking speed breakers or rumble strips, stray dogs on roads, cows , damaged roads which will never be fixed unless some big name politician is visiting. I live in an and around the Hitech City Area and let me tell you how many roads get closed off for absolutely no reason. The road from JH Check post to Durgam Cheruvu bridge had been closed off initially for the Formula 1 race back in summer 2024, the temperature rose upto 47 C during the summer where these bikers were forced to take alternative routes which added additional mileage and also more time in the scorching Hyderabad heat. This road was never re-opened. The Round About in front of Ikea had been closed for some directions completely missing the point of a roundabout, this had to be closed off beacuse it was poorly designed just like many other newer parts of the city. I'm sorry to say but your video screams "I am out of touch with reality". Nothing in this country is going to change unless we go back to our fundamentals and start embracing the ideologies of Dr Ambedkar and our Constitution which this country was supposed to be built around rather than the filthy corruption we have surrounding us today. The people need to be heard before they care about their own lives, give them a reason to care, give them a reason to change, give them a reason to wake up and feel proud of the country they live in. THIS... THIS is what we need, not "Education Centres for Road Safety" Since we are on the topic of Safety, do you know how many buildings and colonies in Hyderabad don't meet fire safety regulations? Do you have a fire extinguisher in your home, do your neighbours?
You have told everything in my mind everytime I come back to Hyderabad from Europe. Let me tell my keen abservation. People want to be peaceful and calm but the road conditions making them frustrated. In Boduppal we had Commisnar rule for 2 years. He maintained Boduppal in almost European level roads, footpaths, cleanlyness. ultra smooth pot hole free roads. And I have also drove vary calmly and people never over spead no honking followe lanes. After his leadship ended, its back to politician hands and everything went back really bad. I see old city like tranfic and honking in the same roads, reason being dusty, foggy road no cleaning, pothole roads, street food occupying footpaths and people parking in the middle of the roads. Its just maintainance, I stopped blamming people for this mess. As you said education in very important but not just for the people but even at the level of govt employees. And more importantly people resort to voilence or settling down with the help of local leader if something goes wrong, instead of going to court because everyone know our Justice system is utterly useless. First thing we need to fix in India is our Justice system, if we can relly on our Big daddy is then everyone will follow rules.
Fix the potholes, create overpass bridges, implement challenges for reckless drivers who drive on the wrong side or in the main lane but change lanes at the last moment. Penalize autorickshaw drivers for causing congestion. These five measures will resolve the issue of traffic congestion.
The reason govt. don't care about education is because our roads are so pathetic, they will not have markings or good design etc. All these rules in most indian city roads no body wants to follow. Education is good, but govt. should also upgrade roads so that it is easy to follow the rules.
Pollution, Traffic and parking issues can be sorted by using EV bikes in major metro cities if manager to office boys opts this by his personal wish instead of making rule by morth Demand for Dedicated Two-Wheeler Lanes in Metro Cities Two-wheeler riders play a crucial role in metro cities, ensuring timely office commutes, delivering goods, and performing various essential tasks. Yet, the absence of dedicated two-wheeler lanes forces them to navigate dangerously between larger vehicles, often putting their lives at risk. The problem escalates when single occupants in oversized cars or SUVs, often IT employees or managers, occupy the entire left lane, leaving no space for two-wheelers. Despite repeated requests to leave at least two feet of the left side clear, riders are often pushed into risky center-lane scenarios. Dedicated two-wheeler lanes would reduce accidents, improve delivery efficiency, and ensure timely commutes for millions of riders. We urge city planners and authorities to prioritize two-wheeler-friendly infrastructure, especially in metros where traffic congestion and road-sharing struggles are at their peak. Let’s make roads safer and fairer for everyone.
To be honest, do you really believe that we do not have these rules in the first place? I think we already have and whenever we get our learner's license, there are always rules that are described in our traffic rules manual. But I think there is a lot of negligence and carelessness towards following and respecting those rules. As you said at the end, many are aggressive while driving and honking without even bothering what impact it will have on our fellow drivers or people. So, I would suggest yes driving education is important but at the same strict adherence, policing to enforce those rules while improving the infrastructure is the only way to handle such a huge network of roads in india.

Very well presented, did you get a chance to present it before any ministry or public dept as well?
