Quelle machine polyvalente 👍. Quel plaisir cela doit être de piloter cette 1300 modifiée !!! Bravo pour la montée rapide (18:20 à 18:50 de la vidéo) 👌✌👍
Nice video! I'm on my second beemer with "Geoff special". First time I went to his was in 2019 and had a 2016 1200GSA done. Over on a 1250GS I went back (of course). You need to have it to fully appreciate what the software does to or for the engine. All without interfering with the OEM software. And you don't need the maxed out map on that bike to enjoy it. Contrary to what some may think, the linearity of the map does wonders even if you're just chugging along in low speed. Meaning reduced fuel consumption. My 1250GS (Plus) has massively improved its offroad manners as well. Much thanks to the improved torque, that I care more for than the bhp. So this is not about whether it's enough as it is or not. it's about a lot more, and the spectrum is wider. If I decide on a 1300GS one day I'll go back and have it done too :)
Did the 17" front and 6" wide to my old R1200gs 3years ago a very good mod. Hilltop here we go, 25hp increase from a Stock engine, exhaust system and silencer, albeit it's had a decat, lovely bike but please 25hp from what's basically a ECU flash to remove euro 5/6 regulations sorry I'm a non believer.
@@gsd32i I wouldn't looked like you also had your doubts 😂 my friend has just had his Xrm done at Bhp UK with full Ti Akrapovic and it's nowhere near 250bhp 😂😂 both lovely bikes and I think you in Jersey went 45yrs ago keen to go back.
Excellent review, what is your impression of the transmission up and down compared to the standard GS 1300. Have they smoothed out the 1 and 2 gear clunking?
TBH I did say I used the clutch. Its still a bit clunky as you go through neutral , overall the gearbox was very good, but not as good as the m1000xr, video still needs editing !
The standard bike power wise really enough power unless you do lots of track day or hill climbs 🤣😂 looks nice tho, interesting to see the rear tire profile can increase to a 180 .great vids Paul 😂🤣
I'm afraid the video lacked a lot of details, close up shots and sensations comparison from the standard model. Very disappointing. Where can you save 17 kg? Carbon fiber fuel tank could save 4 kg. Titanium header could save 4 kg. Removing the front fender, rear mudguard, engine crash plate and rear footrests could save another 1.5 kg. So still more than 7 kg that are hard to explain. I hate any pops and crackle exhaust noises. They are exciting for the first 5 mins, but they get old really quickly and become the source of bad headaches. I think the stock current model is perfect for any twisty back roads, regardless of the asphalt conditions. Just a quieter engine with a deeper and throatier (not louder) exhaust note could make it even more enjoyable. However, it will be nice if a carbon fiber tank and 21" front wheel can be optioned for the ones that want to increase the offroad capabilities.
Oh dear ! Well it wasn’t supposed to be a comparison . It was just me riding the bike, that’s all, for some kind of entertainment value . But thanks for commenting . Ride safe . 👍
That's the first GS I'd be interested in puchasing for myself. Sweet looking bike.
Awesome video! What a treat to get to ride that. Beautiful bike for sure. Best!
thanks
Looks a proper weapon that Paul 😮😊

Thanks for the input. There a few ht haters / disbelievers around ......
Never mind the bike. What beautiful dogs 🐕🐕
About the same cost over 14 years compared to the m1000 😂
I'm sorry this was very hard work, as someone who's ridden 400,000 miles on GS's I'm left feeling none the wiser!
The dealership building looks amazing, Triumph and BMW in the same building???
Soon to be KTM, DUCATI and KAWASAKI. Very busy .
@@gsd32i The more the merrier, normally BMW don’t share spaces.
Why not the 1000xr or m1000xr ? Lovely looking dogs.
M1000xr just needs editing ! Yup dogs are pretty awesome . 👍
Sooner than later an M-RS version will come along.
🤞

There are rumors that BMW will launch a R1300GS with 17inch wheels
Wow 🤯

Is that Nigel's store? Damon Hill has BMW dealership.
I guess so 😁 👍
His son Greg runs it
