IMHO They should have a 2nd channel “gg2”, “mark and gasoline”, “gears and mark”, “mark’s gears” or whatever Make it all the buying cars/receiving them at the shop, behind the scenes, maintenance(fluid changes, brakes, his car, etc), little finicky things, tips/tricks, learning/figuring out new things etc He’s pretty good on camera…why not give him extra screen time, and at the same time add profit to the channel…by making a second channel? Almost every other car UA-camr has one…but give Mark the main host/focus on this one, I’d watch it
Can we just say we appreciate you mark for everything you do for the channel to have been a welcomed addition to the channel since the start!!! Like you’re not just a side character on the channel you are a full on part of the content we all enjoy!!!
5:30 FYI that Snap On thread chasing kit can be purchased for a fraction of the price from the brand name "Lang". Snap On just buys those kits and rebrands it as their own and charged 5x the price. Happy wrench turning folks!
snap on comes on mondays so glad I looked at the comments! I mainly do bodywork, but for my own personal vehicles that I like to wrench on, I think this is good to have. Big ups for the info!
This video proves that no matter what you guys put out there for content, it will be relaxing and enjoyable to watch. Love watching these with my morning coffee on the weekend.
A tap/die or thread chaser set is worth its weight in gold! I have an old Craftsman set for around 25 years that has gotten me out of sticky situations many countless times. Definitely couldn’t live without it!
I hope you guys do a behind the scenes for your film makers too. It's cool to see and they do good work! Thanks Mark and the team for these videos each and every week!
@@darkspartan460 Yeah, with a good still of a set of keys, you can put them into photoshop with a scale and get the bitting of each key, or close enough, depending on the manufacturer of the lock. There's a video from Deviant Ollam about T Pain opening a restaurant and flashing his key to the doors.
Wait a minute....you changed two sets of wheels, new valve cover gasket, changed one brake caliper and bled brakes, checked and filled oil, filled a tank with E85 and hooked up a cruise control that didn't work. I think there is about four hours of donuts in the RX8 we didn't see😂 Seriously though I appreciate the fact that we get to actually see you work. I just ordered a thread chasing set. Thanks for all you do Mark.
I really liked this video guys. Very original. Nobody else has made a video like this. It gives us, the viewers, the chance to get to know you more instead of the boring stuff everyone else posts.
What a chilled and calm guy Mark is. Enjoyed this video and Yes we need uploads of such videos. Guys, Mark gets to drive and enjoy all these cars in the fleet even the ones which are his least favorite to work on😅
Shout out to Mark! Potentially the most underrated part of this amazing channel. Looks like everyone does their part and it's great. Happy to get the episode a week at such a high quality.
14:24 first youtube mechanic I've seen use the baby torque wrench! I got myself one of those because I couldn't control myself and kept stripping little M6 threads. I totally love that thing now.
You’ve come along way Mark. It’s been amazing to watch you grow and become more and more comfortable and ultimately become your own personality on the channel, well done!
As a car guy who wrenches and DIY everything, this looks like a bit of a dream job. Working in nice shops but not having to do random customer cars all day like most mechanics. Obviously there are deadlines and such for various work, but it still looks cool to me, as an office professional who has to find time (and the space) to work on my own fleet.
Honestly I've been watching G&G since the beginning, and mark is an exceptional addition to the crew and thus I feel like he absolutely deserves to enjoy some of the spoils of all his hard work! Build the epic cars and drive them as they were meant to be driven! I have a passion for turning wrenches and fixing things,I have my whole life and alot of people have never took the jump and just tried, those people are missing out! It's an amazing feeling of accomplishment! Enjoy your art ladies and gents
You guys should have a board in your shop that lists all your cars, shows which are running, or where in build... and also when last driven or fired up. It really helps you to start getting ahead and into preventative maintainence.
Great video on getting to know Mark better. Had such a great time working should to shoulder with him on the talon, and even more fun drinking bourbon with him at Lime Rock. One of the best dudes.
The background music, the behavior and everything sums up and makes the video delightful to watch and listen. Every video of gears and gasoline. Live this channel and the people in it.❤
I LOVE this video! Pure relaxing, chill, ASMR mechanic work & updates on shop life 😄 We definitely need more Mark & "UA-cam Mechanic" videos every once in a while..😁👍
As an Automotive locksmith I appreciate you blurring out the keys in the beginning. So many people don't know an experienced locksmith can just look at keys and know what the cuts are.
If Mark ends up putting a lift in his home garage, I think a lot of us would love a video on how it goes! I've been wanting to do that for a while but it's a daunting task
I literally just got a job at one of the coolest hotrod shops on the East Coast. 100% purely youtube educated. No prior experience, took two and a half years of daily studying and grinding, but for anybody wondering, youtube can get you a job in a really cool shop. Work your butt off and stay humble. Someone absolutely will give you a shot.
@ 7:44 kinda too late, but I'll say it anyways, you don't have to cut zipties to remove them. If u take pliers and squeeze the head, u can unloop it. There's a few videos online on it.
its a mark episode!
A Markpisode!
definitely pro s and cons with your job but overall you guys are kickn ass !!!
this a great episode!!!
Should call this one Induction and Incel because he looks like a lonely and sad virgin.
Buff Mike Shinoda :D
Mark deserved his own episode, i'm glad to see him a bit more on the channel so far
Yo Seriously they need to make it into a tri. BMB Ben Mark Ben lol
Loved it, nice to see more of mark, he's a great addition to the team and channel.
They’ve been treating him bad good to see he gets some light
@@vanlassthegreat9734how do you know

Mark is GOATED. Fantastic member of the team.
“It’s been sitting for about 3 months”
Ben T: “and I took that personally”
Can we just say we appreciate you mark for everything you do for the channel to have been a welcomed addition to the channel since the start!!! Like you’re not just a side character on the channel you are a full on part of the content we all enjoy!!!
Yesss another Mark-focused video! Nice appetizer for the upcoming road trip
5:30 FYI that Snap On thread chasing kit can be purchased for a fraction of the price from the brand name "Lang". Snap On just buys those kits and rebrands it as their own and charged 5x the price. Happy wrench turning folks!
I have my lang set and it’s like buying insurance. 70-90 bucks usd go get yourself one if you plan to be in the holes you dig.
Came here to say the same thing
snap on comes on mondays so glad I looked at the comments! I mainly do bodywork, but for my own personal vehicles that I like to wrench on, I think this is good to have. Big ups for the info!
Matco and Mac sell the exact same kit as snapon. And I mean exact same kit. Good to know who actually makes it 😂
Seems like a wire wheel or metal brush would be easier to clean threads...
Or does this actually rethread them?
This video proves that no matter what you guys put out there for content, it will be relaxing and enjoyable to watch. Love watching these with my morning coffee on the weekend.
Mark & Lin: Lets work on this together
Mark & Thorn: Let me know when your finished
Mark episodes are like a spa trip
A tap/die or thread chaser set is worth its weight in gold! I have an old Craftsman set for around 25 years that has gotten me out of sticky situations many countless times. Definitely couldn’t live without it!
Thread chaser is way better than tap/dye for restoring threads.
@@justinrobertson5493 True but I have used my old tap/die set to restore many hundreds of bolts, nuts and threaded holes over the years.
I hope you guys do a behind the scenes for your film makers too. It's cool to see and they do good work! Thanks Mark and the team for these videos each and every week!
Mark the Mekanik, THE silent backbone of the channel
mark deserves his own build on this channel… he does so much for you guys 😅
Could call it Second Gear
Once he steals back a k20 from ben maybe he will 😭
Seriously. The can afford it.
1 minute ago is wild this is the earliest I've ever been
And somehow there’s already 9 comments that beat me
Yep@@chrisxade7981
Mark always seems like a fun guy. Also props to whoever decided to blur the bitting of the keys.
Why is this? Can someone make the exact keys if they don’t blur them out? Thanks

Mark is so good! I could watch him wrench for hours. Hes like a zen master of calm around the chaos of things breaking.
Mark was an electric addition to an already great channel
10:00 “obviously if I break em, I have to fix them.” Mark….we call that job security!
It’s about time Mark gets some love. Best commentary out of the whole team by far
I really liked this video guys. Very original. Nobody else has made a video like this. It gives us, the viewers, the chance to get to know you more instead of the boring stuff everyone else posts.
Been refreshing for a minute. Finally the video shows. Lets go!! Happy thanksgiving everyone!
It's time for Mark's episode!
Thank you for all the hard work Mark! Without you we wouldn't get the amazing content we get.
What a chilled and calm guy Mark is.

@9:44 For some reason, I always thought you were Puerto Rican. But no Puerto Rican import mechanic would ever hate on rotaries😂
daily life of mark and a "where car?" update mixed into one sweet!
You’ve come along way Mark. It’s been amazing to watch you grow and become more and more comfortable and ultimately become your own personality on the channel, well done!
Nothing but an absolute car enthusiast. Not many car UA-camrs are as genuine as you guys. You don't go unappreciated. ❤

Absolutely love how much Mark has been involved in the videos more and more, he’s just a very chill dude to enjoy watching

No frills, just reality. Love it.

Sure, it's supposed to be a hype intro for those of us with brainrot... but its honestly a really awesome intro. Fucking slaps.
As a feller who doesn't have a car lift, I would recommend getting one.
Mark has been one of those guys I’ve just grown to love in front of the camera. Liked him from the start but every video I like him more and more!
yooo shoutout to the GE8 Fit driver with the prime parking spot 1:22

The mark episode i needed, early Christmas came!
Mark is so great for this channel!! I had my yellow AP1 s2000 for 15 years now 😍
Glad to see the awareness of the risks associated with photos of keys. Props to whoever blurred them for keeping you all safe!
Okay now we need "what its like to be a videographer for gears and gasoline" video
really liked this video, the pacing, the more personal vibe and the more day to day jobs.
Didn’t think car content creators could ever have original material. Great episode.
Nice to see LANAAAA back in her own skin instead of the ugly black wrap.
Mark deserves his own episodes more often, keep up the great work and cant wait to see the roadtrip video!
Not even 14 minutes in, and I’m already hoping for more videos like this from Marks perspective. Great idea!!
this video proves why you guys are the best car youtubers ever
Once mark started to be a regular, I haven’t missed and episode. The whole vibe of the videos changed. More indie and a lot more entertaining!
this was a great video, I like the behind the scenes mechanic videos, shows also the „normal“ stuff that needs to be done
it's hard to imagine the channel without Mark at this point. we love ya buddy
Great episode! Would love to see more from the man Mark!
Sign here for a Mark’s Monday episode at least once a month.
I've been watching for a while now, not missing any videos and I totally forgot to subscribe. Fixed that instantly
Mark (if you read this) get yourself a bench top band saw, it make the fabrication a lot smoother.
Man this is one of the better ones I’ve enjoyed in a while
Ending the video with that phone call from Ben was classic. Gave me a good chuckle.
I don't know who makes the chapter tags, but that person needs a raise. For real. 👍

Mark appreciation episode!! 🙌🙌
Dream job Mark, love it! 👌🏽👊🏼🇯🇲
I think Mark needs to be included on the next roadtrip
Man this is probably my favorite episode lol Mark is king!
Yep, took great care of it ( Italian tune up )!😂
Yeah, he's been treating your Crowned Jewel with "kid Gloves"!!!😂
Would love to see more episodes w/Mark doing technical stuff and maybe even addressing some 'how-to' questions from the comment section.
Mark is a great character. Hope to see him featured like this more!
@ 17:30 I’m with you Mark 😂 Well deserved episode for you. Good job G&G team
Spoiled by a lift is a fact... I had access to a lift in college and now that I'm out, I feel like I can't go back... makes things so much easier.
You’re my boy blue!!! Mark, you da man! The OG 🤘🏼
Mark needs more on screen time!!!
I know you guys are probably still in the middle of the road trip or just finished it but bringing Mark along for the next would be top tier
Loved this video ! Give mark a raise please

I'm usually as happy to see Mark as I am the Talon, and I love Talons sooooo...... more of both!
Love your work, Mark ! My God you must be ready to set the Talon on fire and roll it into a ditch 😂
really good video, love the artsy side!!
