    I'm not saying all of your videos should be this format, but I like that this one was. I found it therapeutic and meditative. Watching you tear down then rebuild your busted car is a pretty good metaphor for life in general. Things happen, stuff breaks, pickup the pieces, repair what you can, replace what you need to, put things back together, and make the best of the situation.

    • @dragbag1616
      @dragbag1616 Місяць тому +14

      Aye, it does not fit all kinds of content, but for this rebuild it was a really nice way to do it, and honestly was a very relaxed Saturday viewing experience. Next to that, it's just great to see you guys building back up again. Both Bens have had setbacks, but the rebuilds are inspirational and "That's life" to watch.

    Just my 2 cents, but I really enjoy content like this in the car community. There's too much immediate gratification content that implies building your car like this only takes a weekend, when it takes months, or even years to progress. Not only does it present a more realistic time/work expectation, but also gives a delayed gratification that only comes from maturing with your car projects and being proud of it. Love that you guys are only a couple hours away from me as well!

    Ben you do not give yourself and the team enough credit for how entertaining the cinematography and editing skills are.
    Whether its 10 min or 2 hours, your content is worth watching.

    • @JonHop1
      @JonHop1 Місяць тому +1

      tbh, I think the editing was overkill and annoying in the beginning(of their channel, not this video), but they really have a great balance now. Clearly these guys are great at filming and editing, but finding that balance is not always easy.

    • @ItsMrMcFly
      @ItsMrMcFly Місяць тому

      I think that’s something that gets lost to a lot of viewers. This level of editing and cinematography takes an insane amount of time to do at this high of a level.

      its incredible how fast the average joe (everyone starts here) can get at something once they have done it over and over. I did a clutch job on my car once, took us about 2 days. and about a year later we had my buddies (identical) car done in an afternoon. I imagine the next time i do it itll probably go that much faster.

    I recommend you either get a cap or cover up the mil-spec connector in your engine bay whenever you have the engine pulled. Those contacts are very exposed and easy to bend. It would also prevent dust from getting in the connector. PN for what you'd want is MS3181-24NA, and the brand doesn't matter (Amphenol is good though).
    Also that engine bay looks awesome with the fresh paint on it. 100% worth the time it took.

It's a sad situation but glad you are okay, and hearing you mention this wasn't your normal length videos made me want to comment. I really enjoyed this video, we watch your UA-cam channel and I enjoy them but this one showed everything. It was longer, yes, but I liked seeing every detail of what you were doing and why.

    It might not be content that you should ALWAYS make but If you guys have enough content to fill in weekly (as you seem to like to have and as you are able to pull off so far) I thoroughly enjoyed the long form of this video. It was well thought out and gave more in depth look (even if it was time lapsed which is okay with me) of what it takes to plan out, execute, pivot, and complete your rebuild and upgrades.
    I personally enjoy the bigger picture as opposed to rushing the visuals and context to have a "complete build" in 15 minutes. This video was great in that it was true to what you had experienced and it wasn't just another "UA-cam content video".

    This is my favorite civic, always has been, probably always will be. Not that I’m a huge Honda guy or anything like that, but something about the purposefulness of this car and your continued development of it just scratches my brain in all the right places.

    I’m so amaze with the amount of talent and skill you got there rebuilding the car almost on your own. I wish I had those too 🙏

    This and the last one hour video on the genesis of this Car are two of my favorite UA-cam videos of all time. They are both perfect and so entertaining. Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤

    Loving that your being precise and measuring that's the most important part of repairing crash damage. If you ever need any advice hit me up and I'll do whatever I can to help. P.S. Get yourself a tool called a tram gauge best cheap but accurate and effective tool for measuring frames.

    Really loved this one. I hope it was worth it for you guys to make it. I can tell it was a ton of work. I was definitely concerned with an over hour long youtube video but i was interested and enjoying it the entire way through. Good work as usual, guys. One of my all time favorites for automotive youtube.

    Ups and downs, as if this was down?!!!! Dude, this was an up up up... You walked away from with unscathed. An awesome content opportunity, in your GOOD HEALTH, which will yield 1M views and Civic 2.0!

    Great job Ben. I love your mentality when you are saying that one disaster is only a chance to improve the car. Can't wait to see you racing this car again. And I have to say, I was hoping that you quit this car and that you will bring the newer civic on track. Nevermind 😅

    Thanks for the long video, Ben. You could have easily dragged this out into a series, like many UA-camrs do, to have weeks' worth of content. As a viewer, it's very satisfying to see the results in one sitting.
