@@StepstoPodium got around to bleeding and replacing fluid in my front brake this evening using your vid for advice and it feels brand new. Going to do the back one tomorrow, invaluable advice thanks again 👌
@@StepstoPodiumhi. Ive just purchased a 140cc pit bike,( back brake not working).. I tried all this but still not working! Can you advise on what to try next? Thanks
@craigjohnstone1461 it's a bit hard to try to help via comments, but we have technical sessions available in case you wish to have some 1-on-1 help 💪 stepstopodium.com/technical-sessions/
On the Yamaha WR, I found that by removing the master cylinder, elevating it, and pumping the lever, I can get all of the air out by just doing this. I suspect that because the WR has a longer break line with a high point in it for headlight clearance, this spot allows air bubbles to build up that are hard to get remove. Elevating the master cylinder gets rid of this air trap and allows for easy bleeding. Your tips on fluid removal are spot on and helpful.
When pulling brake fluid with a syringe some of the air you see is coming past the bleed nipple thread, so it's deceiving..... you think your getting lots of air but some of it's from outside of the brake system. You might never stop seeing air even though the system is bled.
there are never dumb questions if that helps you understand any topic! if you do this on the front brake, it only affect the front brake, if you do this on the rear brake, it only affects the rear brake 😊
Going to try this. Rebuilding my 02yz125 and have ZERO pressure. It has new calipers and new galfer line. But I have no pressure at all and have tried bleeding about 20 times.
Hi there mate got a kx85 rear brake is really soft Iv bleed the rear brake but it still won’t work as it when pressing the rear brake it won’t stop the wheel at all. Any suggestions?
you have to build pressure inside the system, only to bleed the system in not enough! if after that it still doesn't has pressure, you might have a faulty brake piston which is letting oil through the seals, keeping from building pressure
@@StepstoPodium it didn't work, my brakes were ok except the copper washer was leaking so I replaced it but now there is no pressure at all. Im gonna have to take apart my master cylinder
@@DatWhiteSpanishBoyFromNyc.-_-. You have to do several times the last step of the process in order to regain pressure! Just doing it once won't be enough.
I stripped my bleeder screw threads on my caliper so I’m searching to find out if I can bleed my brakes bye bleeding the system using the lowest banjo bolt rather then the bleeder screw.
Great video, all the details no filler. Thanks 👌
thank you so much! I really appreciate the feedback and I hope I could help! :)

Hey! Elevating it so that the brake line becomes straight?

Dumb question. By doing what I just watched does that also work for the rear break ?

hey man i’m trying to bleed my rear brake, would your syringe work on my calliper it needs a 3mm tube.
it would work! I don't see why it shouldn't

Muito obrigado! E agradeço imenso a ideia :) para já ainda não tenho uma enoooorme experiência nisso, mas mal tenha, conta com esse vídeo :)
By doing it this way you are actually pumping some of the old fluid back into the system!
Great vid made it look easy

Steps to Podium how would I build pressure inside the system. Do I just carry on bleeding the rear brake?
I'm watching this tonight because I'm going to change the copper washer to my brake hose tomorrow, I'll update you tomorrow on how it goes
great! Please do let me know!

@@DatWhiteSpanishBoyFromNyc.-_-. If after that it still doesn't regain pressure, in that case, yes, you might have some sealants or orings busted
Hi will this work the same with rear brakes
yes it will! and it's even easier actually 😊
@@StepstoPodium ok thanks
how do i build the pressure?
Pump the brake lever! 😊
I don't know if I feel like having some spaghetti or going to a magic show after watching this video
Why is that? 😂😂
😂😂😂
Are you brazilian?
Nop, I'm Portuguese! :)
Just broke off the thing you put the syringe on

Omg that clip at 1:03😂
😆😂😂👌
Yea i may have fkd up
Rip
Absolutely terrible and incorrect method. Reverse bleed is fine but don’t do it like this!!!
👏👏👏👍😁
