Pro-Touring 73 Camaro: Fix Your Saggy Chassis

- After seeing just how much flex remained in the chassis (primarily where the front subframe meets the unibody) after the suspension swap, I quickly decided to bump firewall braces higher up the to-do list. These are from Speedtech but I'm sure any ones that triangulate the top of the firewall to the front subframe would do. Keeping with Speedtech meant I could use the existing pick-up points on the Extreme front chassis. Like with most of the Speedtech stuff, they are poor on instructions but are generally well done. They eliminated any visible chassis flex from what I can tell so firewall braces are a must if you plan to do anything more than cruise.

Nice tip on the welding rod. I was thinking it would also tell you when you are getting close to the end of the rod when you are welding. I haven't TIG'd, so I don't know if that's really an issue
That too but I’m not good enough to run a full filler rod without stopping yet 😉

That’s a 315/30r18 tire front and back. Yokohama A072 should you care. I have a wheel video in the works talking about fitment.

@@svera93 Sharp eyes, I was gonna do a wheel reveal video but since you asked, they are BC Forged TD01. Fantastic quality and a real deal for custom forged rims. Sssssh, don’t tell anyone. I’ll get into specific sizing on that other video.
