Yeah man! .. the Spector bass with the EMG pickups and the GK gear is a deadly combo! .. I’m also using a Neural DSP quad cortex for the actual tone

Just curious, you legend, which picks are you using
I use Dunlop Tortex 1.14’s exclusively .. they’re the only ones I’ve ever found that are durable for how I play but also not too thick or bulky
Have you tried stainless steel picks? I used to use the Dunlop Nylon 1.0 mm (I think...the black ones lol), but after I tried the SS picks, haven't used anything since. You can get away with using a thinner gauge and they won't flex on you. But I play guitar, so they may react differently on bass. I also scratched the surfaces some to aid in the grip.
I didn't know they even made them till I went to see Ratt in '86. Warren DiMartini was using them. He threw several out to the crowd and I happen to snag one.

lol .. if this is true .. who cares?! .. It cost me nothing (actually that’s not true .. I broke a string .. Fear Factory, you owe me a B-string! 🤣) .. I had a blast learning this song and it helped with my chops, and I get to showcase my abilities to whomever wants to watch .. and you never know who that may be! .. all good shit! .. and I’m sure all my fellow bottom enders feel the same! 🤘
