    OMGoodness that is stunning. I was like no,no,no, before you started drizzling on the extra resin. I loved it before the drizzle and swipe. I love it just as much after the swipe. lol 😂 I know the pain of going too far and wishing you had stopped at one point, and the joy when it all comes together. ❤

    I absolutely loved how it was turning out before the use of the silicone wand spreading the colors and it was a good decision not adding the vinyl.. The end result was still beautiful but I Loved the the 'galaxy' look.

      I appreciate your feed back, Lynne. This was an experiment. As someone who doesn't like to waste materials, I could see this wasn't sinking into my base coat of epoxy. So, I felt like it needed a light blending, to avoid losing my interference powder. But, I do appreciate your honest opinion.😊🐭☃️

      @@sandisshedhouse4741 I know there are two kinds of mica powders that I am aware of. One is for paint pouring that is mixed with a pouring medium. The other is to be mixed with resin. But like you did here if yours is for resin then pouring it over a dark colour gets your the colour shimmer in different lights. Just make sure when you mix it in that you really mix it and ensure each bit of mica is mixed in so you don’t have a piece that doesn’t get mixed. If you mix it over white you can also get the coloured effect I think it is just a more subtle but pretty look. And also you only need a bit of mica to mix. Have fun playing

    • @sandisshedhouse4741
      @sandisshedhouse4741  3 роки тому

      Christine, it's mind blowing, the different ways, we can use art materials. Isn't it? A little trick I picked up, mixing your mica powders in a small amount of alcohol, to make a slurry, before adding resin, helps to ensure all the mica powder is incorporated. No chunks left behind.😊. I'm definitely going to be doing more experimenting with the interference mica. 🙂🌺

    What is interfering powder?

    • @sandisshedhouse4741
      @sandisshedhouse4741  2 роки тому

      Hi Lori,
      Interference powder is a Mica powder that shows differently on a black base, than white. It throws more of an opalescence than a particular color. Does that make sense? 😊🌺🐭

    What is interference powder?

    • @sandisshedhouse4741
      @sandisshedhouse4741  2 роки тому

      Interference powder is a type of mica powder, that is reactive, when used over a black background. By itself it appears to have very little pigment. The black background enhances the color shift effect of the powder. I hope that makes sense😊🌺🐭
