Could someone here tell me how to stop an update AFTER it starts? I postponed this latest update to next week but it downloaded anyway! I am not a computer expert but all of the articles about how to stop it tell us to do something that is impossible (an example, to access task manager?) to do, you can't access anything while it is in progress! Turning off the computer just delays the inevitable. Does anybody here have a way to actually stop it? I'd appreciate it tremendously if you can provide any help!
Using device manager to update drivers is how we did it for years until the Windows 10 updating changed that. Also, if you experience a problem with a driver use device manager to uninstall the driver (or roll back the driver to a previous version and reboot the computer) and after the reboot and your logged in go to device manager and check that the driver is installed and if the problem is solved. I've used this method to solve audio driver problems on my wife's laptop after Windows 10 finished doing it's updates and broke the audio driver.
