- In this video, you will join me along an exciting eurovelo 8 bikepacking trip as...
I arrived in Monte Carlo by train, feeling down because my brompton lost a rear rack wheel. I worried I couldn't use it as a trolley for my groceries. But with some force, I managed to fit the wheel back, even though it was wobbly.
Then while looking around Monte Carlo, the first thing I noticed was the luxury cars. They were everywhere. Then, the hills caught my attention. They were steeper than any mountain I'd climbed, and the traffic made it worse.
Later walking through the shopping avenue in Monaco, I felt out of place. Each shop had its own security guard, and the people looked like they stepped out of a magazine.
I also visited the famous casino from the James Bond movie "Casino Royale." It was surrounded by luxury sports cars and people admiring them.
By 8 pm, I had no idea where I would sleep. I cycled to the outskirts of Monte Carlo, looking for a quiet residential area, but there were cameras everywhere.
At 9 pm, I spotted a potential camping spot at the edge of a cliff but missed it while going downhill too fast.
I checked the beach for a secluded spot but found a loud house music club instead.
Finally, at 10 pm, I found a square and accidentally discovered a public toilet behind the local tourist office. It was secluded, off-limits, and unlocked. I decided to stealth camp there, hoping no one would need the toilet overnight.
The toilet was spacious enough for me to lay down with my Brompton and camping gear. It lacked ventilation, but I was willing to risk it for a few hours of sleep before biking to Nice the next day. More on that adventure in the next episode.

Cool man
Wonderful journey 😊
Indeed 🙂
Hi Viet Phan, your overnight stay in the toilet reminded me of a scene in Will Smith's film 'The Pursuit of Happyness'. The difference was your toilet was a lot more luxurious :) Great video! When are you posting the next episode?
Allí había muchos coches caros... pero tú tienes una Brompton. No está mal. Haha👌
En ese momento no cambiaría mi brompton por un auto de lujo :D
I searched for recent stealthcamping videos and found this video of you. I really like this video and I will scroll through your channel. Do you plan to bike through Belgium too?
Cheers from a fellow stealthcamper. 👍
Thank you for stopping by. Glad to see someone stealth camp in europe too. From your videos it seems your adventures are much more thrilling, well documented and on the edge :)...as for Belgium, I might visit during eurovelo 4,5 or 19. But based on your videos, I might skip stealth camping :D
@@VietPhanThanks for the compliments! 🫡 If you pass eurovelo 19 it's closest to home. If you seek campingspots there, I can give you some tips. It is not too hard to stealthcamp here in Belgium, it's just me searching for trouble. 😋
I heard the Netherlands is harder and have bigger fines.
Cheers, I'll keep following your channel
I thought you swapped out the default Brompton roller wheels with an inline skate wheels? Why did u swapped back to Brompton roller wheels?
