    I'd bet that 3 hole is a lot higher compression than you think because of the 3 plug tips and electrodes reduce the overall volume of the combustion chamber considerably. Just a hunch.

    Higher compression heads needs higher octane fuel otherwise it'll start detonating.

      @@TheLordMaximo I'm pretty sure autometer has a cylinder head temperature gauge with a spark plug ring that goes under the spark plug for measureing cyl head temp . They even have a few new adjustable warning gauges that you can wire up a few different ways to alert you with a light horn or both. It's basically a switch to cut on or off.

      theres different pistons and i got 3 types differing on his head format, place where the ring goes and the strenght of these rings

    Thanx for the information.I have the angle fire head and am pretty happy with it.No mods and run premium pump(93octane),with semi-synthetic oil.Summer is coming and there's alot of hills around here.I was wondering about better cooling fins with the same compression.(Oh,forgot to say I have the 66 with 40mm intake and exhaust ports.Great torque.Only non-stock is I used a Very fine file to the inner edges of the gaskets for both ports so there are no restrictions.)

    Speedstermotors Rick here none of these have the compression nor squish band that of what mine are I think about getting back into the industry. I did the 3rd design of the 4 cycle gearbox in 2008 and development was final in 2009 for the Nantong Jiali Gosoneine Engine Manufacturing Company that produced the first two Hoots which were failures. When I got out in 2015 from prison I noticed it took the market ..in 2011 Gas Bikes Sam and John who they and My Father had a phone conversation where there was a 12% agreement made to use my ads for which at the 2011 mark owed me over $100,000. Makes me sick. Thank for for Catching me up with these multi sparkplug and ignition variants mister..you and ya`ya all have a great Sunday..Rick

    I think the man said the triple spark plug head was the best if they fire one after the other that makes the most power of course. I know because I had several dual spark plug 4 cylinder Nissan engines with 8 spark plugs total and two spark plugs in one cylinder fire one after the other for more power and cleaner burn. And disconnecting one coil slowed the motor down with both coils on the motor the motor revved up ran more smoother idle smoother and made more power.

    With the stock heads - without pulling it off how can you tell if its the high compression variant or not? (Mine was leaking so i took the head off and tightened it down, its stopped now but I don't want to mess with it)

    • @cryptopyro
      @cryptopyro  7 років тому

      Unless it has an angled spark plug hole, there is a high probability that the engine will have a low compression cylinder head.
      Because the engine uses an aluminium gasket, you will periodically need to retighten the cylinder head nuts, due to combustion vibration hammer peening the head gasket. This is completely normal, and nothing to worry about. A small amount of oil leakage from the standard cylinder head can be expected, and is also nothing to worry about.

    • @neardood1
      @neardood1 7 років тому

      I've since bought a head that looks identical to the lower second from the left. Its an angled high compression head with the keyhole shape. Interestingly the one that came with the bike was also angled but it lacked the keyhole shape, causing me a bit of confusion.

    Hey Fabian, have a quick Q for you. Using the three or two spark design, how did you set up the dual/triple ignition? Used one coil for each plug?

    • @cryptopyro
      @cryptopyro  10 років тому

      The magneto does not supply enough power to run a dual ignition, however you could run a dual or triple ignition system if having an external power supply like a high A/h lithium battery and a bespoke electronics package that steps up battery voltage to replicate magneto output voltage as well as replicating the magneto A/C sine curve; allowing you to connect multiple Jaguar CDI's. In my case i simply connected the Jaguar CDI to the rear most (longitudinal) spark plug; using the second Jaguar CDI as a backup system should the primary Jaguar CDI fail in operation; giving the option of simply unplugging one CDI and plugging in the alternate CDI into the magneto output wires.

      Richard Norris ,,, For Hills you need to change your. rear sprocket,,. 4 more tooth on the sprocket. Is more torque,,. Or 4 less teeth more speed,,,. Higher compression more power but slower to get there,, and you lose torque,,,. When you mess with an engine you're taking it away from bottom end and adding it to the top end,,. And cutting down the life of the engine rings and bearings,,, just gasket match your intake manifold to The Jug cut your gasket down to where there's nothing hanging over,, use high octane gas and better oil,, synthetic,,. Or mc1. For Hondas 2 stroke, less oil more power,,. More oil accumulates carbon wears out the engine quicker,, and it bogs,,. All these motors needs a slightly larger jet after they're broke in,,,. A racing carburetor will not help you climb Hills,,. It will be slower taking off and then faster when it's at top speed,,,. Trimming the Piston skirt down will give you higher speed but you'll lose torque taking off,,,. A racing Muffler or a loud Muffler will give you more speed,, but it will cut down your torque,,. See where I'm going with this,,,. Where do you want your power at,,. ???

    if i was you i would get ahold of some copper pipe, and some extremely high temp epoxy, you then lay that pipe in a way where it wraps around the head between the veins, close the the most meaty parts of the engine, id also fill said gap with some kind of thermal paste, then once the paste, and pipes are laid in and placed nicely, you cover the area with an epoxy, and sand down to bare metal. the copper tube is a boiler, you then hook one end up to a condenser, and one end up to a resivoir, and you have automatic boiler powered water cooling.
    make sure the coolest liquid begins its flow across the hottest part of the head.

    Let's hear more about this Dual Ignition, Dual Plug Heads!

    • @akabiscuitwaffle
      @akabiscuitwaffle 4 роки тому +1

      The idea for the use of dual ignition is for inside extremely large cylinders where the only way to get the ignition to spread fast and evenly enough is to use 2 spark plugs spaced out.
      Inside a smaller engine like bike engines- the extra spark makes zero difference. Whichever one goes off first by even the smallest amount of time, will cause the entirety of the gasses to ignite by the time the 2nd one fires. If you're running extremely rich, or go for long rides, it's useful as a fail safe incase one fails mid-ride.
      However, just like with the three hole variant, it does lower compression- which can be a good thing if you're over 145 psi. As higher compression can limit the max RPM. Higher compression causes higher resistance on the compression stroke-which is where you can loose power despite each ignition being more powerful.

      The best cylinder head is the one that is correct for your operational requirements.
      The best cylinder head for your needs might not be the best cylinder head for someone else's needs.
      The worst thing you can do to a Chinese 2-stroke motorized bicycle engine is to rev it past 5,000 rpm on a continual basis.
      Keep it below 4,500 rpm and it will live a long and happy life in conjunction with an aftermarket CDI such as the Jaguar CDI.
      Jetting the carburettor correctly is also very important to give the engine both good power and long life.
      There is no magic jet size, because the jetting needs to be optimised for your location as you will have different atmospheric conditions compared to someone else living in a significantly different location.

    1:08 Over here in the good ole USA it's a bloody flashlight M8... a torch has flame man !! .
    Nice video seriously I was wondering if you could do a video comparing a motor with a boost bottle and one with out ..some claim better gas mileage as the fumes get trapped in the bottle I can see this being a benefit considering the minimal amount of fuel to run these

      The "Boost Bottle" concept has been work-shopped to death. By the nature of the process, a boost bottle is a complete waste of time, and has proven to be a worthless concept, and a waste of money.
      You are far better off investing your money in a Rock Solid Engines reed-valve-intake.
      This design actually "does" improve low and midrange power/torque, hence the reason why it's fitted to my bike.

    why would you need more than one spark plug? only if you are running very bad fuel ...

    • @cryptopyro
      @cryptopyro  5 років тому

      A twin plug cylinder head gives more ignition consistency when using a marginal ignition system found on these bicycle engines.

    ... it started to detonate so it was the worst cylinder ... I wonder if with the correct octane fuel it would be the best head ...

    • @cryptopyro
      @cryptopyro  5 років тому

      The fuel used was 98 octane (Australian East coast) unleaded or what would be called 93 octane in America.

    I did use a head with 3 sparkpugs and did test it in comparing with one sparkplug on my 90cc Kreidler draracer. Conclusion one spark is much better, because a strong squish press gasses all to the center of chamber and so burning period is much shorter. facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200735745995097&set=a.10200573123809644.1073741845.1805454134&type=3&theater

      Many ignition systems aren't going to easily fire across 3 spark gaps ..my guess would be that ONLY 1 of 3 plugs actually fires (the path of least resistance). The extra plugs will disrupt flow, not good .. one plug is bad enough, why add 2 more? Lastly the 2 higher compression heads in upper left of table, look like the best ones, if those did not run well on his motor, then that motor needs some port work and/or better pipe. I have many many billet heads from scratch for kart racing motors.

    • @50ccRacing
      @50ccRacing 7 років тому +1

      Wrong, al three fires, because all three coils were loaded, so impossible not to fire. When all three were contected to 1 coil you are right, in that case one of the three will only fire.

    • @cryptopyro
      @cryptopyro  7 років тому

      Incorrect. When using such a system, you operate the engine with multiple ignition systems.

    • @cryptopyro
      @cryptopyro  7 років тому

      I agree

    So you need 3 coils to run 3 spark plugs? And why 3 plugs for 1 chamber ???

    • @cryptopyro
      @cryptopyro  5 років тому

      You do not "need" 3 coils to run the engine with this cylinder head, but you could do so if you so chose to do so. Commonly you can use a decompression release mechanism in one of the spark plug holes as well as running a twin plug, twin coil setup, if that is part of your ignition requirements.
