Trump praised him up one side and down the other. It's all there for you to look up. Then, after DeSantis made it clear that he was going to enter the race as a candidate for the Republican nomination for president, Trump did an interview in which he said that he did not think that DeSantis was a very good Governor at all. He added a few additional comments that weren't true at all about Florida. He lost my support, my respect, and my vote that day. More recently, in an interview, he was asked what he would say to the average independent female voter today, to get her vote, what issues he would address to pull those undecided votes so that he could secure the win of this next election. His response was: I DIDN'T LOSE THE LAST ELECTION. I WON THAT ELECTION and on and on he went. Nothing about the voters or the question asked.
I supported him once, because I grew up listening to the adults in my life saying "if only we could get a business man in the white House instead of a politician they'd fix everything, but no one will take the pay cut to become president.".
