The breeding mechanic doesn't seem too different! Almost like a roaming nursery without the person, so the pokemon you want to breed are in your party instead of with them, which also allows you to breed multiple pokemon at once. Sounds pretty solid.
Also, there's going to be less dialogue for switching pokemon in the now non-existent nursery. Not sure how long the picnic animations will be, but it'll probably be fastest to just make a sandwich and chill until you have some boxes full of eggs for hatching.
The one issue I have with the new breeding system is that you used to be able to use the daycare to put egg moves on Pokemon without breeding them and now it looks like if I want to get, say, a Bisharp with Sucker Punch, I'll have to go through the rigmarole of breeding one and levelling that one rather than just using the one already in my team

Hey!! As always, amazing video 🙌🏼.
Thank you for always putting so much effort into your work. Always appreciated!!
Sandwich induced Pokémon picnic orgy was not one of the things I thought I would be thinking about today... Thank you for that.
Austin you are the true MVP! Thank you for all your awesome content my dude! Super appreciate all the great information you work hard to provide for us! 😊
I just got my first Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Violet before I even did any of the Treasure Hunt quests. That Pokemon was a Skiddo, found with a small group of Skiddo. Made my day, I will say =D
You make release day bearable!!! Thanks for the videos!
I haven't even reached the first pokemon center and I caught a Shiny Lechonk. I named her Ultra-Chonk and she's now permanently in my party.
I'm planning to shiny hunt like crazy on these games!
Hey I swear that’s the same spot I caught my shiny psyduck 😳😳😳
i havent been on this channel since sword and shield first dropped, glad to see youre still at it
I personally love that they don’t shine or make a noise in the over world, they’re just a regular Pokémon with a different color palette, makes it more « realistic ». I like it
it has ups and downs i'd say. its nice that the game doesn't hold your hand and scream at you in every way possible that its a shiny. but if i saw that shiny flamigo in the wild, the odds of me realizing its shiny is much lower than 1/4000
I don’t. It’s incredibly inaccessible for people. If you have any sort of colourblindness, there’s virtually no way at all to be able to tell
@@coloursaur1494 send your Pokémon out via let’s go. If it ever cowers away with tears without losing health, it just battles a shiny. Really easy. Also colorblindess would rarely change things
@@VizualDK then… encounter it… it’s still sparkling
10:27 That poor Ditto, picnic turned orgy. Yikes! Haha XD
Shiny locking mons is so lame
"Let me tell you about breeding, first youre going to need butter, bananas, and peanut butter."- Austin John 2022
How do you get up every morning with the weight of all the W's you keep accumulating with this quality content? Thanks for all the info king
This is legitimately funny for me because the very first wild Pokémon I saw was a shiny hoppip. I’ve been using it for my run 😅
WHEN does Peanut Butter unlock at the Bakery please? How? My husband has defeated 2 gyms &1 titan but still only has a few new foods. I refuse to play past getting my ride until I know this. Every single guide out there makes it sound like all foods are available at the starte of the game &that is obviously false. So I'm starting my French play through for a Metamorph until someone tells me otherwise what to do. Thank you.
So I’m just walking around while listening to this vid, I have the shiny charm, and JUST a few minutes after I start watching, a random shiny Skwovet. Thanks Austin for the good luck!
First
you sure were SimplyAlive, you sure were. thank you for being here for sammich
I got wild shiny Fletchling and Hoppip pretty early on just vibing ✨
Right after learning how to catch pokemon got a shiny pink piggy. Was my 4th capture, yeah thats my luck for the rest of the year.
They shiny locked so much in this game. I was really hoping the new Legendary quartet would be huntable because they all have great shinys
Got a full odds shiny skwovet about 30 mins into my playthrough
18:32 Found a typo: "AIRPLANE MORE" instead of "AIRPLANE MODE"
Thanks for the info.
"For Pokemon breeding, you'll need bananas, butter, and a whole lot of peanut butter."
Uh... You know what? I think I'm good just catching Pokemon gen 1 style.
So there I was, not even an hour into the game, when I saw a green azumarill chilling in a pond😅
Usually don't comment but thank you very much for making a cheat sheet for screenshots. You rock!
I was wandering around the gate that goes into the university city and just saw a shiny Azurill swimming. I was able to catch her as it's the first I've caught in like a decade as I don't actively hunt shinies and because I ADORE Azurill.
Seeing pokemon swimming instead of being on a platform is very NICE to see
