I've already got a couple of updates for this video.. mostly because I miss spoke in a couple spots.. whoops! Precise Shots increases damage by 70%, not 75% and Explosive Shot is reduced beyond 5 targets, not 8 like I said. Updates on Embellishments. There's more options than just Vivacity and the Crit Lining embellishments. If you're not a player that will do 10s or mythic raiding, a 639 bow isn't going to be in the cards for you, meaning that gun is very, very strong for you. Another option is to just build 2 Dawnthread Linings and call it a day. What I'm doing with my first Sparks for Season 1: I'll be doing both M+ and raiding, I'll be rushing my P.0.W x2 with Darkmoon Sigil Vivacity this week and then in two weeks I'll add a Dawnthread Lining to either my cloak, wrists, belt or boots. It'll just depend on what items I have in those slots. All items that are crafted will be crafted with Critical Strike and Mastery. My goal is to keep 8% haste (or 5200 haste) on my character at all times. That's where my personal playstyle excels the most. Helpful Video, was wondering what is your take on most people ranking MM Hunter in the low tiers comparing to other DPS classes. Really love this class but want to check how impactful could it be. Thank you.
I'll be honest, I don't pay any attention to those rankings. I play MM hunter when it's "good" and when it's "bad". I just enjoy playing my hunter and I can always squeeze the most out of it, even against more meta specs. Currently, MM Hunter is okay at best at ST but really excels in AOE. With the changes coming in 11.0.5, we'll be much stronger and have more options, including a complete rework of Dark Ranger and some really huge QoL changes in our trees that I've been championing for several xpacs now. If you're pushing mythic week 2, MM probably won't make the single target fights initially. But if you're an AoCT raider and do PvP and M+, you're in luck, MM is great!
I have always wondered if it is ok to not pick Lone Wolf and keep a pet out to help with damage and use that point some where else to make up for that 5% damage loss.
Hey, William! Thanks for watching! That line of thinking is one of the reasons for Lonewolf's nerf from 10% to 5%. So you didn't feel like you were really gimping your damage when you had to lust for example. It's not optimal to run with a pet, but if you want to do that, I say go for it!

Hey, could you elaborate on why choosing "In the Rhythm" is a better choice instead of "Barrage" or even "Deathblow"? 8% Haste seems so useless especially early on in the expansion since we don't have a lot of haste to begin with. Wouldn't it be better to go for more AoE with Barrage or even a bit more ST damage on bosses with Deathblow? **in the M+ build
Hey there. So Barrage by itself doesn't do much damage, plus it pulls things you don't want it to. In our build, you don't have 2 points to spend to make Rapid Fire Barrage usable, without sacrificing other abilities. Plus, it's a 1 min CD that doesn't do much on ST boss fights in M+ and costs focus, where rapid fire normally doesn't. As for In the Rhythm, you cast a ton of rapid fires during a key. We have a chance on every Aimed Shot to reset the CD of rapid fire. Another way to say 8% haste is that you're doubling the amount of haste you have, because we're running a very low haste build. A free 8% haste is pretty huge. In the Rhythm and Steady Focus are the strongest at the beginning of an expansion, so you get your haste from those abilities and then you build straight crit and mastery. Deathblow isn't very good in AoE because it only hits one target and you won't be using a lot of your Kill Shots in AoE. I hope that answers your questions! Hey there! I'll be honest, I'm biased. I always play MM. Good, bad, doesn't matter. Currently MM is ahead of BM. BM is better at ST than MM, but MM is waaaay better at AoE. I would say pick what you think we'll be the most fun and stick with it. You'll still get into groups, you'll still have access to some great new talents that'll help us here in 11.0 and also into 11.0.5 with our tree reworks.
I've played BM hunter in Drafonflight...but man they don't really keep up with the rest atm...I've switched to MM but have a struggle adjusting to it....the aoe dmg is way better though...but I do hope some changes will be made to put some life back in BM tbh. 🥴

I only really play MM hunter, that's my thing. If I were to make a guide about BM or Surv, I really wouldn't have the expertise that I do on a MM Hunter.
I've been doing really well in ST and in AoE, even without the DF S4 tier set. I get focus starved at times, but the damage is there for me currently at 564 ilvl.
We haven't used a pet (other than to lust) since Lone Wolf was introduced. We do 5% more damage if we have it talented (like in the video), to not have a pet out.
Here's hoping! It has a lot of things against it right now, tree points, focus cost, CD and well.... damage output. Hopefully it'll be viable in the future.
@3r123 I sure hope so. Dark Ranger was what I was looking forward to. But it's pretty underwhelming and you're right, visually it's meh. They ignored it for most of the beta too. I think they will revisit it down the line, especially if it starts to scale better and people play it more. Thank you for watching my friend!
The weirdest thing is I played through the campaign and Alleria literally has better visuals for her auto attack (it’s a massive aura void arrow), so it’s not like they couldn’t add it. I also don’t understand why black arrow doesn’t replace aimed shot with perhaps half the casting time.
@olivergerling8139 when you get the item crafted, you have to add the embellishment to get it on the weapon. You'll need crests to recraft the weapon to get to higher levels.

So our AOE is much stronger than our ST. If you have your TS up for ST pulls, like in dungeons for example, I'm still seeing some pretty good damage and I'm at 540 ilvl right now. It's all about having TS up for the pull and during bullseye on longer fights if possible.
@highoffdeezmemes6315 I'm sorry, yes you would use both precise shot procs. I weave my precise shot procs in, so for example, if I have all my abilities up, I'll use multi shot, then aimed, which gives me 2 precise shot procs. I'll use one of those procs to get trick shots again, then I'll use rapid fire. Then I'll use the second precise shot proc, then I'll use aimed. That way, I used all my precise shot procs and had my trick shots buffs up to cleave.

@Kasdeya3113 because guaranteed Sentinel stacks are huge. You can get full stacks very very quickly in both ST and AoE. Once they get above 3 stacks, they can start imploding and doing damage. In AoE, once one enemy gets below 20% with stacks. ALL of them implode for massive damage.
@Nick-to6mw Yep, it's frustrating. So many hunters left feedback about that during the beta, but that was their response to it. It might be better once we have more haste but it won't matter by then because we'll have a new tier set. :/
@@MrEggplant Survival is great but MM really seems cobbled together. Its designed so poorly imo with just wasting resources and procs constantly. And BM is just BM. Hopefully they fix MM soon.

@@MrEggplant 100% agree, general tree is more defensive and make me feel more hard in combat. I feel aimed shoot should dont have charges for use and the cast time down fron 2,5seg to 2,2 seg. Delete rapid shoot and come back chimaera shoot like lk, a shoot with optios depending what you use before, like chimaera shoot consume the serpent sting for more damage. Chimaera shoot can do something with explosive shoot or black arrow. So the talents for rapid shoot you can use for combinations with the chimaera shoot foro more efects in m+ or Raid. (Sorry about my inglish) . The buff you get from talent tree are good used if you have 2 aimed shoot or arcane shoot buffed from another talent, i mean 6 seg of damage incresed is too short
Players were complaining that it was too busy in DF and now it's the opposite. I'd like to see Blizzard find a happy median. It just means we need to make the most of those abilities and try to stand still as much as possible while we have low haste. It'll get better as the xpac moves along.
I dont know but i feel like dark ranger does alot more damage with the resets. 3 resets for kill shot already does olmost 3 mil damage in les then 5 sec.
It's very proc reliant. You can have great pulls and really bad ones. Dark ranger really struggles because during Trueshot, you have to keep wasting GCDs on things that aren't rapid fire and aimed shot. Extra Kill Shots, additional charges of Aimed Shot and resets cause a log jam with your opener and during True Shot. The talents would work much better if abilities that proc from it were off the GCD and/or it had better focus regeneration. You get all those extra Aimed Shots, but no focus to spend on them.

I've been doing really well in ST and in AoE, even without the DF S4 tier set. I get focus starved at times, but the damage is there for me currently at 564 ilvl.

How pets work now? When you show st opener where is no pet. We don’t use pet like in legion?
We haven't used a pet (other than to lust) since Lone Wolf was introduced. We do 5% more damage if we have it talented (like in the video), to not have a pet out.
I'm so mäd that barrage/rapidfire barrage isn't worth it :/
hopefully it get's some buffs someday :D
Here's hoping! It has a lot of things against it right now, tree points, focus cost, CD and well.... damage output. Hopefully it'll be viable in the future.

@3r123 I sure hope so. Dark Ranger was what I was looking forward to. But it's pretty underwhelming and you're right, visually it's meh. They ignored it for most of the beta too. I think they will revisit it down the line, especially if it starts to scale better and people play it more. Thank you for watching my friend!
The weirdest thing is I played through the campaign and Alleria literally has better visuals for her auto attack (it’s a massive aura void arrow), so it’s not like they couldn’t add it.
I also don’t understand why black arrow doesn’t replace aimed shot with perhaps half the casting time.
@3r123 yeah when they added it, it was pretty half baked. It's a start, but it feels incomplete.
Hello! I crafted the weapon and it is only 596. Cant use the darkmoon sigili vivacity or upgrade it to 636, any ideas?
@olivergerling8139 when you get the item crafted, you have to add the embellishment to get it on the weapon. You'll need crests to recraft the weapon to get to higher levels.

Hey Egg, my AoE seems great but sustained ST damage seems wayyyy low. Is that how it should be?
So our AOE is much stronger than our ST. If you have your TS up for ST pulls, like in dungeons for example, I'm still seeing some pretty good damage and I'm at 540 ilvl right now. It's all about having TS up for the pull and during bullseye on longer fights if possible.

@highoffdeezmemes6315 I'm sorry, yes you would use both precise shot procs. I weave my precise shot procs in, so for example, if I have all my abilities up, I'll use multi shot, then aimed, which gives me 2 precise shot procs. I'll use one of those procs to get trick shots again, then I'll use rapid fire. Then I'll use the second precise shot proc, then I'll use aimed. That way, I used all my precise shot procs and had my trick shots buffs up to cleave.

@@Kasdeya3113 to get to WA, you'll need 3 points. 2 points for the Legacy of the Windrunners and then 1 point for WA.

@Kasdeya3113 no problem at all :) it's a good question. If you want WA in AoE, you have to lose Salvo and small game hunter sadly.
also why eyes closed in the Sentinel talent tree instead of Sentinel watch? isn't that just more cooldown for your trueshot?
@Kasdeya3113 because guaranteed Sentinel stacks are huge. You can get full stacks very very quickly in both ST and AoE. Once they get above 3 stacks, they can start imploding and doing damage. In AoE, once one enemy gets below 20% with stacks. ALL of them implode for massive damage.
So the coolest change in my opinion, the fact that you can fire off 2 arcane shots rapid fire during true shot aura, is not even utilized? Rip :(
@Nick-to6mw Yep, it's frustrating. So many hunters left feedback about that during the beta, but that was their response to it. It might be better once we have more haste but it won't matter by then because we'll have a new tier set. :/
@@MrEggplant Survival is great but MM really seems cobbled together. Its designed so poorly imo with just wasting resources and procs constantly. And BM is just BM. Hopefully they fix MM soon.

@@MrEggplant 100% agree, general tree is more defensive and make me feel more hard in combat. I feel aimed shoot should dont have charges for use and the cast time down fron 2,5seg to 2,2 seg. Delete rapid shoot and come back chimaera shoot like lk, a shoot with optios depending what you use before, like chimaera shoot consume the serpent sting for more damage. Chimaera shoot can do something with explosive shoot or black arrow. So the talents for rapid shoot you can use for combinations with the chimaera shoot foro more efects in m+ or Raid. (Sorry about my inglish) . The buff you get from talent tree are good used if you have 2 aimed shoot or arcane shoot buffed from another talent, i mean 6 seg of damage incresed is too short

Players were complaining that it was too busy in DF and now it's the opposite. I'd like to see Blizzard find a happy median. It just means we need to make the most of those abilities and try to stand still as much as possible while we have low haste. It'll get better as the xpac moves along.
I dont know but i feel like dark ranger does alot more damage with the resets.
3 resets for kill shot already does olmost 3 mil damage in les then 5 sec.
It's very proc reliant. You can have great pulls and really bad ones. Dark ranger really struggles because during Trueshot, you have to keep wasting GCDs on things that aren't rapid fire and aimed shot. Extra Kill Shots, additional charges of Aimed Shot and resets cause a log jam with your opener and during True Shot. The talents would work much better if abilities that proc from it were off the GCD and/or it had better focus regeneration. You get all those extra Aimed Shots, but no focus to spend on them.
In sims it's about 20% behind.
