haha no you're not. There's a long list and it can be complicated. Glad I could help simplify for you. Not sure if you downloaded the free starter guide from my site but if you haven't head over to www.coachshayain.com and hopefully it will help your game further.
You are such a great hearted person. To play a round of golf with you would be such a great day. We really need more people like u in life. Keep up the great work
This my first time watching one of your videos. Thank you. I am an 80 year living in Kona who has been asked by a friend to help introduce her two teenage sons to the world of golf---nothing, I mean nothing will help me to teach the etiquette, the rules, the necessary character aspects better than your videos---I am so excited about discovering your work! Thanks Coach, you just saved me a ton of stress, I didn’t have a clue on the proper etiquette for going to the range. Your guidance and tips are invaluable.
Love your videos, especially the ones in the playlist targeted for complete beginners. I’ve always found golf to be quite intimidating but very much appreciate you making the information accessible so I’m more comfortable the next time I go play golf. Thank you so much!!!

@@CoachShayain no round as it was fully booked but hit the driving range instead. Worked a lot on my back swing and alignment but need work. Biggest struggle was with my hybrid, very inconsistent with it!
Love the style of this video Shayain! It's much easier to feel comfortable on what to do when someone does an actual walkthrough! This was similar to a day in the life 🙂
This is such a great video. Our team likes to get out to do activities together and sometimes the basics are helpful when we do golf events with family etc.
That is very true. I am happy this help, feel free to share it with your team so everyone is on the same page with golf Etiquette. I have released a few more videos on Golf Course Etiquette which might help!
great vid, the best thing u can do if your new to the game is get to the course 1 hour (or more) early and go to the driving range, the chipping practice area and the putting green/ practice area, most courses will have all 3... U will see a big difference if u practice driving, chipping and putting before play
You can start small. Buy a putter online either second hand or new depending on your budget. Buy one ball or a sleeve (3 balls). Watch my videos on putting at home. Start there and then go to a public golf course or driving range and putt there for free to get the hang of it. You can do that now which is perfect time for the current situation we are all in. Let me know how it goes and happy to answer any questions.
Hi Coach, just stumbled on this amazing site and wud luv to start playing golf at Beginner level. Just one little request, if I may humbly suggest. Please shoot future videos is 1080P as this wud be great quality to enjoy all these amazing advices and skills U are teaching us. Thanks and keep making creating tutorials. Regards
Thanks for the suggestion and I agree. Keep in mind a lot of my earlier videos are 3 years old when I would shoot them on iphone 10 ;) SO they won't be as amazing in quality as the new ones :)
YESSSS Trent you do need to try it. Doesn't matter the age or where you come from or what you do for a living. Golf has so many mental health benefits, along with great to be out with nature and get your step count in for the day :) I can keep going .... it is a great way to meet people ..... the list is endless. I hope this motivates you to start :)
The most important thing about golf is to have fun. And one day pop over here to Scotland and play on the links in the gales and rain. The true authentic golf experience 😂
Thank Shayain for your most insightful videos everytime I log on. Please, could you do a part II video on golf etiquette involving multiple players? To include the solemn moments at tee off and why, who should start teeing off amongst the group and many more. Thank you.
I sure can address that question in part II. What else would you like to know. Give me some more insight as to what in a group setting while playing golf throws you off in terms of etiquette. I’ll link another video I’ve done which is LONG but tons of detail. Let me know if that helps!
Pace of play is MASSIVE IN GOLF!!! people don’t care if you are good or bad. They definitely care if you take too LONG ua-cam.com/video/A0kMxwRRG9Q/v-deo.html
@@CoachShayain thank you so much Coach Shayain for these links and your prompt response. I will watch them. The only other thing I can think about for now in group play is, does one have to call their ball everytime on tee off? Thank you.
I’m 3 months into golfing and the one etiquette that I learned was if I have no chance of atleast putting the ball in the hole by 3 over par, I’m picking it up and just moving onto the next hole - unless I’m the only one on the course, but usually that’s not the case and people are waiting behind me.
I love that rule of thumb you have. It’s a great one ! If you want to join me for My Free @ Home Golf Tips Nov 2nd & Nov 6th Sign 🆙 pensight.com/x/thefundamentalsgolfprogram/free-home-golf-workshop
Recommend showing a few practice putts and stretching/warming up before hitting the first tee shot. The thing we see the most is a player or group arriving at the shop a few minutes ahead of their tee time, then rushing to the first tee without having hit a putt or swung a club. Then, they hit their first tee shots, and then the automatic mulligans. They've started poorly and have already slowed up play. (Sorry, but this happens every weekend at our public course.)
In Canada the courses were shut until Mid May. They have slowly started to open but practicing social distancing and each course has their rules that need to be followed.
I have a Q, for the ladies , Q, why have ladies only got W.C, in club house and one on course before 10th hole ? We males can go in most areas but females only twice ?
What a considerate question to ask. We have no ideas why most golf courses in 2023 haven´t made the adjustment to add more restrooms so the ladies can also go in peace. I guess most courses don´t have GM´s that are women or else that would be addressed and changed.
etticate now there is a thing blokes running trollies or buggies on to tees , ladies with low tops , shorts mini skirts trousers or whatever , OK they look great but where is the code of dress is this not a case of give an inch and they take 2 mile .
Nowadays with these golf newcomers i damm near have a fistfight with some Rude shit head who cuts in front of me or wont let you play through while he teaches his 4 yr old on the golf course how to play and takes 27 minutes per hole.
Thanks to Mylora for being wonderful hosts. Comment below if any of these Golf Etiquettes are new to you?

When you say inconsistent, what happens to the ball ( right, left, straight?). The ball doesn't go up in the air? Struggling with distance?

Great tips. Thanks. They are not new to me. It's amazing how many golfers they seem to be new to each time I go to the course though.
Yes these are common mistakes that golfers make and no one has addressed them. Happy to know this is old news for you :)
