Yeah… a big but…. Agree. I feel they spend time adding things people don’t even ask for while not working on what people is waiting on for ages..
No need of another VST instrument, have tons.. splice was already working well.. launcher it’s like the grid I never use that I spend more time opening and dragging than doing it in the main window. Small workflow improvements here and there but that’s all. Btw there is Ableton link now in the preferences. Nobody talks about it but can be useful to work in conjunction.
I hear the complaints and all, but this is STILL a pretty good update to me.

From what I see, I like it. I’m a pro tools/FL Engineer & Producer. I’ve been using S1 for the past couple years. I love it. Seamless workflow and the tools I need are there at my fingertips. The extras are just that. No need to rush as it’s not a video game. 🎉

Everybody was saying this update would make all producers happy, but im sad, after all this time I dont need no dam average stem separator, I dont use Splice, if the integration aint coming with a free subscription or a at least a discount im not even interested, im paying enough for Studio One plus. They need to update all of the instrument vsts, they only got like 4 or 5, plus Impact & Sample One, WTF IS SO HARD ABOUT THAT. If Fender bought them, by now Studio One should come with the best guitar vst known to man lol. I aint hating, or tryna be too bitchy but im tired of bragging about this being the best DAW but deep down knowing im disappointed & unsatisfied asF lol
I gotta take back what I said about the average stem separator, its actually pretty dope.

So far its decent. Response times is decent. Downloading times when dragging into the project is not to bad,
I see a lot of people like the Launcher, imma have to see a good video demonstrating the purpose of it because to me it look like the scratch pad & I never found a use for that.
Where did you get Toolbox arp collection i dont have in my version of S7
something i purchased few years back from 3rd party site. Not sure if it's still there. Maybe if you google toolbox for studio one, something may pop up. it came with presets for each instrument, FX, and some loops.

I've been working with a couple of artists that insist on using auto tune. Their work sounds amazing. It would've been outstanding if that feature was included with this paid update 💯
unfortunately autotune was never a thing in studio one included products. it was always melodyne intro version instead.

After moving to Ableton and seeing this... I applaud them for trying.. but Studio One has some VERY FUNDAMENTAL issues that it looks like they will just never address. This is like Ableton lite, but not anywhere near as good because of the fundamental redesign that Studio One needs.

Please update Impact and Sample One. That’s where the bread and butter is. Listen to your users please!
Cubase is in front, it has more features and vst's. But still i think StudioOne , with this new 7 version and frequent updates , its on the right path.
This update reminds me of being a kid, super excited waiting for Christmas, almost 100% sure I was getting what I wanted then BOOM!!!!!! let down, heartbreak, visions of murdering my parents lol suddenly wanting new parents smh 💔💔💔😰😰🥵🥵

now the loop function has been like that in Sonar yearssssssssss ago... I like it now implemented in S17... I like the preview. Splice is nice, but not really interested as much. I'll eventually upgrade, but I don't think that there's a new feature that makes me go YES I need it now. The stem separation is okish.

Everyone is saying this update doesnt have what it needs to be worth it but they arent saying what those things are.
Exactly because people only speak from what they see or don’t know. Who are you hearing this from? People in the comments that can’t prove how they’re using studio one? You can only make judgments for yourself based on your workflow and not other people experiences.

@@DanielDChannel If you go the perpetual license route, you get to keep the last version you upgraded to. You don't have to upgrade to keep using it. With the subscription you also get a perpetual license with the annual payment option. Not sure how it works with the monthly payment option.
@@stevenroach2296 Thanks for clarifying I had purchased 5 and 6 in the past and now have to pay for 7 of course with an upgrade fee which I total get where I was confused it it says new features for a year so my question was what happens after a year do i have to pay again and the answer is no unless i want to ugrade to let say 8.
