One thing is sure ,, they mention stems as the big shii in the update .. that makes me worry , because stems is in my opinion a fun gimmick ,, but that can easily be done with serato sample .. I hope they upgrade the piano roll , midi routing between vsts , new performance effects , upgraded arp , warping samples in key with same tempo playable in keyboard mode / chop , upgrade browser for sounds and samples make it possible to sort key , genre , bpm etc .. I feel that NI is keeping the update expectations low .. hopefully I am wrong but I suspect the update will be stems and some smaller updates and a dark theme …
@@beatkultr true, but still a gimmick , stems algorithms when implemented in daws etc ,look at mpc still is sounding pretty crappy if compared to Ripx or serato sample ..
I bought the Maschine Studio, Jam, S61 MK2 keyboard and just bought an used Mikro MK2 several weeks ago. NI did in fact say that the MK1 and MK2 gear would no longer be supported which means that they are on their deathbed one way or another. I just hope that there is a definite split and both Maschine 2 and 3 can reside on the same computers without either overwriting the other like Reason did around v11. Keeping both versions would be a welcome compromise for those of us who were early adopters. The MK3 is under $300 so upgrading is not forbidden but the question becomes how long will MK3 gear be supported and if any changes affect Traktor installations since there were some effects that would work with the entire NI lineup. Progress is progress and out of our hands, but the amputations do not hold well for buying new NI hardware with a feel of planned obsolescence. The only hope is that there is another 10+ gap before MK3 is no longer supported. Thanks for your video! 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
Regarding it possibly not working with older models, I assume ppl are making that conclusion since NI announced ending support for Mk1/2 I saw a post from a maschine group & thought bruh those devices are super old. But despite ending support devices always still work unless a nacoss update stops supporting the drivers.. I still see folks using Maschine Mk1/2 & Studio (These 3 are Hella dis continued)
@jayfkproductions876 to piggyback off u, site unseen the only thing people should be wondering about, besides what u pointed out, is what's the oldest OS is it gonna support.
I still produce in 2.0 using my Studio and it has served me very well. I think people (I’m not one of them) are “complaining” preemptively to push NI’s hand in including the older models in updates. WHICH MAKES SENSE. NI can continue to sell their software and expensive expansions to those who have NI products - especially those of us on older models!
The music production community is the unhappiest community I've ever seen. It seems no one is ever satisfied with new plugins or DAW updates. If a company doesn't add that one special niche feature that people been requesting for years, then people will declare how much they hate the company and will abandon it for another alternative. I see this with Studio One. If Presonus caters too much to the mix engineers, the beat makers will complain. If they cater to beat makers, the orchestral composers will complain. So on and so forth. However, it's understandable that paying customers would expect more development from these companies, especially in Maschine's case because they are slow to come out with major developments.
These are excellent points my friend. I agree with you. This is the world we live in right now. I f you are not complaining, your not a real person lol. Everybody complain about nothing most of the time.
I am a devout Maschine User. The first clue that they were not updating the older models was when they didn't include Maschine functionality into the new Komplete keyboard line. We will just have to wait and see. They always come through with good stuff.
It’s that sense of entitlement. We have become spoiled producers. I believe some want a device that you can say abracadabra and poof you got a fully done project. Half that complain probably don’t use their product to the fullest potential 🤷🏾♂️🙄
I just got an email from Ni a few hrs ago saying it’s now available for beta testers ver 3.1 email also said there discontinuing support for some native instruments MK 2 devices
When you look at ableton and FL studio we need to have a more linear flow like those daws and also have some innovative things as well so they have their own Identity as well I want studio one to be a one stop shop personally
Well this might be idea for you and others, but this "4 bar block" or clip launch work flow is king to other beat makers. I found a work around tho. just maximize the scene length to the entire song instead of using multiple scenes. So instead of the typical 4 bars, just increase it to 105 or 132 or however long the song is.
Some folks ain’t gonna be satisfied regardless of what NI would do! If by chance they were to release a new hardware version of Maschine, WITH TOUCH SCREEN, in addition to this “3.0” update… you’d still have some “simple minds” that won’t be satisfied🤨.
I'm Excited about the New update! It will not probably be perfect, but NI is headed in the right Direction! If there is a new machine I hope it has MPE like the Push 3. IMOP is the best out in terms of what it can do and Ableton is on it. NI will be A problem beware!
That’s exactly my point as well. How does people form anything in their tiny heads about something they know nothing about because it hasn’t release yet 😂
Maybe they expected a complete UI overhaul? If that was expectation then it's clear by the screenshot alone that ain't hapenning, I am not justifying it, just saying that's a possibility. Also note that there's hundreds of people on the beta that know exactly what's gonna happen and many are from the forum so opinions might get biased by what they already know 🤷♂Theres also been some leakyleaks... ;) Personally, I am reserving my judgment for release day but I understand why some folks could be disappointed even tho theres only a screenshot to go by so far.
