My good friend and moreover my neighbour committed suicide a month ago. During the furneral this song was played…. It is the song I‘ve chosen for my death (I‘m suffering from cancer in my fourties). And since he passed away I‘m listening to this Song almost every evening….. But I feel good by let my thoughts flying.

You can really tell the difference between Bruce and 90% of the artists today. When Bruce sings live, I'd argue that his voice sounds even better than on his recordings. Most artists sound like shit live compared to their album.

saw him in concert in LA....1985 I think it was. Huge audience, but he created a sense of intimacy. Incredible performer. I haven't been to a whole lot of concerts, but I've caught Bowie (Glass Spider) and McCartney. Great performers but IMHO Bruce was tops.

Lastly, you mention that he kept eye contact with me, and for me looking in his eyes was startling - it was so intimate, I have heard the term soulful brown eyes, never really understood what that meant, but boy it felt like I could see right down to his soul - it felt like I could see his struggles, his successes, his genuine attempt to make this moment everything I could ever want.
