general tip : never rest your toe under the gear padel to make it easy to shift to upper gear you never know from which side shit hit down just yesturday saw a student break his toe by that ...he had all protective gears and not a single scar on body apart from broken toe so please shift a gear and bring the toe up ...never seen anyone pointing this one out so please think about it
RAHUL S R ideally you shouldn't even be placing your toe anywhere near the gear shifter. Place it on the footrest with your heel suspended in the air (similar to how you stand on your toes). Move your leg and hence the toes forward only when you want to shift gears
too late for that now mate i usually put it(glide it) over gear lever for emergency down shifting its far better gives you a sec or two more to shift down
well said bro.. i myself hurted my toe while i was keeping it under gear panel ..while cornering.. from that time i always keep my toe up!
Yes I agree with your point .. not only for toe broken It can help to quick down shifting at emergency situation.. as well as while we in enjoying at cornering our toe can hit the road as too badly if we rest our toe in under the gear .. keep safe ride riders👍😍
Tried telling all my friends the but none listen to me..
Very good advice.I am a postman here in Australia and we deliver the mail on small motorcycles. We are trained and must pass regular refresher courses on safe riding. My only concern is that when you actually show us how you brake, you use just one finger. We are trained to use all four fingers and squeeze the front brake, as you also said. Apart from that, you offer very good advice.I would urge every rider to practice emergency braking. Find a stretch of road and "when safe to do so", brake as though your life depended on it. Because one day it might, and if you are familiar with how your bike will react under heavy braking, it isn't as scary as people imagine.Good luck everyone and stay safe.
Thank you very much my friend. Hope you enjoy my other videos too and hope you subscribe.
only indian motovlogger to give tips on emergency situations on riding🤘🤘
yes
Definitely yes Stanley, cause India is blessed or cursed with so big population that you need to be happy but careful on seeing people. Especially such animal like humans crossing roads who do not see left or right while crossing needs to be specially taken care off.
Not really, I'm from Vietnam, and I really appreciate these tips.
Indonesia too
Because of their god:) (cow)
You are only one who are giving real info about bike and bikers life good job Buddy 💥
lifesaver tip: you must not ride that fast on city roads. it's very dangerous for rider and pedestrian
You are right....fancy bikes for sure but one should follow traffic rules in terms of speeding atleast...
I agree, but can't deny that idiots on our roads are everywhere, whenever i Go for a ride,i always assume that everyone running around me is a dumbass and it is mostly true because in U.P, no one gives shit about others and rules
@@GauravSanjeevkumarBhardwaj1220 greatest tip for riders is to imagine that everyone is out to kill you and has zero brain cells
@@KaschitShah yeah especially in india,,they don't give a fuck about side mirrors, indicators, horns, *helmets* ,speed limits and changing lanes before even looking whats coming from back
I am always brakes like this.. this works on 99% of emergency situations.unfortunately I had an accident.. But this braking reduced the effect off accident.... One main thing always wear your helmet and gears..
Super duper Mama. Really helpful video Vikas bhai. Love from Hyderbad
Hey bro thank for your information recently today i have a incident like this that i was pass through in a 90 km per hr speed sudenly a dog cross to my path and i make brakes and with the grace of god iam completly perfect now i think this is the most relevent video that you done thank you buddy ride safe all the best
Doing all this things , one thing should also be done , that is ............
Shout :- *HATT JA BC*
Would help you alot , really , I have done
It's best to lock the front wheel because if the wheel doesn't spin at all it rotates slower than the wheel when moderate braking is applied...you're welcome
Hahaha i dont think anyone could be that stupid, or he woudn't be with us anymore

Lol🤣🤣🤣
Really love it when you make these videos. The content shows how much you care about your fellow bikers. Hats off!!!
I must appreciate the way you explain the things in a very simple manner bro. I already have watched a no. of your videos and I'm writing this comment not particularly for this one but considering all of them which I've watched. You are doing a great job man. Keep it up!
Thanks very much.
Man you are the only person that actually addresses the emergency situation all of these UA-cam nut jobs need to watch your videos because I listen to them I would be dead by now good job and thanks keep up the good work
Thanks for watching mate. Hope you enjoy my other videos too and hope you subscribe
This is a lifesaver tip sir! Thank you so much!!.....BUDDIES!
Very good advice. But in a panic situation no one would remember all this. So it's a good idea to practise these drills regularly so that it becomes muscle memory
that's all good but thats theory and a right one too ...best way to stay safe in a panic braking is trying hard braking on a daily basis and practicing stoppie on a daily basis that way you'll know exactly how much lever should be squeezed in an emergency situation.
key is to simulate emergency in a controlled way on a daily basis.
also keep your tyre in a good condition always and if you don't have abs it's preferable to switch to a soft compound front tyre ...cheapest one is mrf revz fc1
exactly, you need to understand your machine first before implementing any technique.
Evolution : Machine to Man
I have crashed twice on my duke 200 because of panic braking both of which were pretty much unavoidable and I’ll still crash in the same situation but after that I started practising panic braking by fixing an imaginary target(obstacle) ahead of me and tried stopping before it and now I’m pretty sure that if its possible to stop I CAN stop my bike.
To ensure this I’ve installed a 300mm disc, sintered brake pads and metzellar sportec m5 54w front tyre on my duke 200
Why should we change tyres to soft compound any reason, and if u have abs then i think break as hell u will be safe means pull full breaks rare and front ? I am a noob but will buy a bike with dual channel channel abs soon so just to know?
@@EvolutionMachinetoMan u Can also share ur views , will happy to gain knowledge
Yeah, Actually! First understand your machine.
those things I do every time , but hearing from You, it is an appreciation, Thank You Baiyya.. LIve Long !

I like the content and this man. How I missed your channel all these years...... Glad I subscribed your channel.
Man, this much knowledge about motorcycles can only be gained via experience. And, my friend... you have a lot of experience in riding!!!
Content is clear, informative and simple. Alwys good to learn from u, Vikas Sir. Keep up the good work.
I have been wanting someone to cover this. Thank you so much !! Cheers!

Vikas Rachamalla absolutely! All your videos are quite informative and I do watch them when you put them up! Please keep on making such great videos. I always learn a thing or two :)
ASAP : Absolutely Straight As Possible!! 🤣🤣 Very helpful video sir!
Your videos are very informative, looking forward to more such helpful video.
I think a person in panic wont be remembering all these tips... Even if he knows, i dont think his reflexes work this much systematic....!
please try to practice and simulate this method frequently, your mind automatically execute this in critical situation
Well said bro. But try this routine in regular life, try to fit this method in ur conscious n sub conscious mind, then only ur reflexes will work best in panic situation.
E.g. if u sleep at 12 am regularly..then u r into that habit to sleep at the same time, whether u r happy sad or outdoor ur brain will try fall in sleep at same time.
I knw this isnt d best suitable example to explain bt i hope u get my point.
Yea brothers... Only practicing make it safe.. And i request all my fellow bike enthusiasts to practise panic braking.. Ride safe guys!
shehin zeyne true situation depends
trust me brother, ppl who've watched this will video will at least do one out of all the points he has mentioned.
Sir you're the best motorcycle expert, i follow you and I respect you. Love your videos.

You are great
4 years old but still one of the best video ...Thank you Sir
Thankyou very much. I had a solo accident yesterday because of a car which suddenly stopped in the middle of the road while i was on 80 KMPH. This helps alot for emergency breaking. My fault was i pulled in my clutch and used too much rear brake causing my bike to slide and loosing balance.
Vikas sir, Love the way you explain every small point in ur videos.. Love ur simplycity sir..! Keep up the good work!!
Thank u sir.. I am newly owning an rc 390 and i am thankful to you for providing such videos
Thanks this video was helpful .I had a accident today so just searching and got the exact content what needed .great work
That's why we love Vikas bhai. All are rest Vikas bhai best.Very informative.
Thanks Vikas superb video ...this is what is needed ... excellent...Lt Colonel Charles.Indian army
Very informative, thank you. I needed to watch this earlier, i had a close call today using too much back brake, luckily i was able to stop in time.
Nice video Vikas sir, that daytona is beast. 🏍️😋
If possible Kindly make a video on Counter steering too.
Great advice, Vikas! Will practice the aggressive downshifting in these scenarios starting tomorrow. One point though, in most panic situations I have been. People crossing the road end up freezing where they are looking at the bike coming. And if I don't swerve my steering a little then I would have surely bumped into them. I generally try to change my line by just a little bit and in a quick split second and then make the bike straight again to break harder. Is that something you would discourage?
You are correct bro
Wow really fantastic very very useful technic .thanks a lot vikas I respect your public responslity mindset god bless you
Your explanation is very good and straight to the point, I enjoyed listening to you. Can you please do a video on how to handle the motorcycle on a bend when going over a slippery surface, such as water, ice, gravel or diesel etc. Thanks from Portugal and keep safe.
Congrats for 100k sir n ur making very nice videos 😊😊😊
When an Indian fella gives you bike riding advice, you know you can trust him.
Very helpful and easy to understand! Awesome job, man!
From my experience the front brake is most important while panic .. Most of the people say apply both brakes at emergency . But what you have said is my experience apply Front and then the rear for control ... Good piece of information 👍🏻
If you apply front brakes at 100-120kmph u will be gone...🤪
@@rohitmier Nope that's not correct . I have a Karizma R . I always do such front braking even 120 s . Never Missed . U can try it out .
@@user-xv8wv5rc1d i already tried once and it was a very bad experience...🤪 Actually someone suddenly came in front of my bike and accidentally slammed my front brake which results into the only accident i ever had...🤭
Bikers Eye It’s actually based on ur biking experience . Actually I Dnt simply apply the front brake ,will apply rear too with in milli seconds .... Hope this will help ☺️👍🏻
Excellent video Vikas. All the points what you have said is valid and useful. And added every rider must have the seventh sense called ROAD SENSE to avoid certain mistakes.
Thanx man, i just skid my bike a while ago when i was trying to overtake, this really helps 😃
Thanks bhai !!! I own a FZS 2.0. will definitely try following this guideline ! Keep making n motivating every rider like this !!!
Bhai I wish if you could make a video on installing a Rear Disc brake for any bike eg.like the Yamaha FZS 2.0. will surely appreciate it. Much needed for all bikers with only front disc!
Really helpful for me......few days ago i had an bad accident... Just due to exerting more pressure on rear brake
Very very informative video. I was so confused about braking after watching many opinion. But u've cleared my conception. Thanks a lot Vikas vai. Love from Bangladesh 😍
Thanks very much bro. Hope you enjoy my other videos too and hope you subscribe
Your videos are very informative, As you have asked if any useful suggestion or comment, I usually downshift all the time with rev-matching. I learnt it because I got locked my rear tire twice at the speed close to 100 kmph. So, I did extensive research and learnt rev-match. Now, I downshift every gear with rev match and believe me, I can manage my bike at any speed. I feel every rider should know this technique. It can be dangerous for beginner but with the practice nothing is impossible.
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy my other videos too and hope you subscribe.
plz ride the new R15 v3 bro and give us the opinion obout it
Great man! Your explanation was very practical. I don't follow anything by books. Practicality matters
Today I saw your few videos ...littrely I fall in love with your videos as well as with your tips ..❤

Vikas Rachamalla already did 😉❤
Vikas Rachamalla bro another one small question I just brought duke 250 ..If in 2019 abs variant of duke 250 comes according to government rules..can I retro fit abs in duke 250 ??
No man u are an expert.. Thank sir

Loved ur videos really helpful ... for a new rider like me on heavy sportsbike....
Ur sitting position video helped me a lot from wrist pain thanx
you saved my life and another person life... thanks sir for your life saving tips...
I watch every single video that u upload.. U are my fav motovlogger .....😘
One of your best videos. Very informative.
During the german driving license we learn a slightly different approach for emergency situations.
Your approach sounds very logical, it would also be my first choice, but it is also a high level technique!
Since we are talking about a unexpected emergency situation it is difficult to downshift while braking hard.
We also learn to squeze the brakes while emergency braking. With ABS we just grab the brake as hard as we can.
But we pull the clutch during that! The reason is that it is to difficult to downshift during a real emergency , since you have to revmatch the engine with the spin of the rear wheel or the rear wheel will lock up or brings instablity to the bike. Also if you cant stop right before that obstacle we learn to swerve by really pushing hard on the handlebars (brakes not engaged ). With a rear wheel which constantly brakes (or even locks up) we would fall during that maneuver.
Thanks for the detailed feedback mate. Hope you enjoy my other videos too and hope you subscribe. Cheers!
Only one person who makes videos for information purposes ❤️
Very helpful. I skid my bike last week. A woman was crossing the road with out looking left or right. A collision was unavoidable. I decided to move towards right to gain time, but my bike skid in the process. I she have used combination of engine braking and should have kept the bike straight instead of moving to right.
Thanks to helmet and safety shoes, my head and foot fingers were not hurt. Shoulder and knees were hurt. Neck was strained due to jerk of falling and hitting the head to divider
Dude I met with an accident yesterday...
The vehicle ahead applied brake abruptly and when I applied My brakes, my bike skid due to sand in road.... ..
I fucked up my shoulder and left hand...
👌👌👌 this was very helpful as once (I don't have much experience) but was riding my friend's RTR 200 (TVS) and pressed the back brakes and (* was holding the clutch back) realised the vehicle wasn't slowing down then..... As you said pressed the front break hard and well there was a good stoppie .,... This really helped me thanks!
I like your explanation. Because it is genuine with scientific term.
These tips are very useful. Thanks a lot. Now watching these old videos. Content is 👌👌👌
GREAT CHANNEL! Hello From Idaho, USA!
Thanks very much
I have a few questions.
You mentioned that we must use our front brake first, then downshifting/engine braking, and only then engage the rear brakes.
I was under the impression that it's advisable to always use both the brakes simultaneously for best effect.
Also, is there any risk of performing an unintentional stoppie when using the front bakes at such high speeds? (even if gradually engaged)
Would appreciate a response, I'm eager to get into biking and yet to own a bike. Trying to build up my knowledge before doing so.
Thanks in advance. Cheers
Dada you're great!
Love From Bangladesh 😍
Great content as always machi! Greetings from the Philippines. JAI HO
Absolutely useful information vikas bro surly i love it and useful for every riders fellow 👍👍
Nice informative video. one more factor is also important IMO. to execute these steps in panic breaking situations one must have 100% focus (eyes and mind) on the road while riding, if u have something ( different thoughts ) in ur mind or checking out other road side things while riding then no use of these steps. Coz all these steps have to be executed with in few seconds.
You always have the best content on your video
You are awesome bro. Fan from sri lanka
nice information👌
vikash sir u teach like a experience teacher
i like it
Much needed video and explained very well Vikas bhai👍
#Awesome Brother! Your vlogs and videos are so helpful 😁 lots of love 💖
best indian motorcycling chanel ever
Thank you for the support
am not a rider ...but like watching ur vdos anyway....keep up the good work...cheers
This is what i do .. most of my frnds will ask me to pull the clutch while braking .. im so tired to explain them .. thanks man for this video
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy my other videos too and hope you subscribe.
Excellent points but really hard to implement and co-ordinate together!
Siddharth Sagar Practice buddy.. I revmatch every time I downshift and practice what he said everyday.. Once it becomes a habit it will help you a lot in bad situations.
Sir jii Love the way u are explained
Thanks Bro , The way u explained is awesome
Thanks very much. Hope you enjoy my other videos too and hope you subscribe.
Sir your explanation is so good 😇 thanks for the help ♥️
Thanks a lot my friend. It was very useful tip for me and i understood what mistake i was doing during panic braking.
Thanks for watching mate. Hope you enjoy my other videos too and hope you subscribe.
Very useful tips bro thanks for those tips and if possible please make a video on emergency braking at various roads condition like wet slippery roads, roads with sand and gravel stone etc.And that daytona is looking awesome bro
When you say tap the rear brake does that mean literally tap it or ease into like on the front? Thank you.
very informative . im a huge fan of you....😍
thanks vikas i always use to pull clutch whenever i used to brake now i know how to brake
Helpful video , thanks for sharing vikash vai
Nice video bro , just loved it😍😍😍
An please make an video on clutchless shift ( in detail)
Nicely explained that everyone can understand...Good job brother.
Very good and practical tips👌
One more thing I do is that I push against the handlebars to resist the force of braking and to keep an upright seating posture.
i have seen situations where the bike speed is only 35-40kmph but because of confusions riders crash 😂😂....Thank you for the information it will help me a lot 😊👍
thanks vikas sir for this safety tip.
Sir your 3rd point is the most important and least known to most bikers. Never clutch and break!!!!!
Budddieeesss Hi Vikas bro.... Best Informative video Vikasss bro....
Ur a true rider bro. Expecting more vlogs from you
Bro is half clutch enough to down shift or does that harm the clutch plates
Very helpfull , Will practice these 1 tym everyday , then this will stay on my mind during these situations .
in June I had gone to Ramnagar for a road trip, as I am a beginner I was not riding and was in the pilion. My flat mate was riding the FZ15. We were cruising at 110kmph. suddenly a TATA sumo stopped near the divider without any indicator and a turning TATA indica came from the other lane to go into a street perpendicular to the lane we were on. The indica didn't have any indicators either and my flatmate had to panic brake just the way you told. (As I am watching this on 27th July, it reminds me of the incident)
Lesson learnt
Hi sir I do always when I faced that kind of situation that I control my bike with gears first rather to control my bike through front brake but yeah you explained my things in this video which can be helpful for all bikers 😎😎🤘🤘
Then you'll need more braking distance though. The optimal braking is clutch pulled in, abs on, squeeze both brakes immediately enough to lock the wheels. Engine braking would in such a situation only add to the locking up of the wheels. Besides you can then just go off the brakes and easily sverve to the side if the braking distance was too short to avoid the obstacle. Most people never use all of their braking power and don't trigger the abs soon enough, that's why his tipp on engine braking isn't necessarily all wrong it just isn't optimal.
