Hi Sharon, Thanks for dropping us a line and so glad you enjoyed the vid. Also thanks for mentioning the time of year thing, I try to remember to do that as it was one thing I always wished for in the vids we used to watch. Cheers Andrew & Lisa
Hi Guys, That sounds like a dangerous night. Please say hi to Tim and Bev for us when you see them again. Those guys and Glen & and Ally, really helped us find our feet in the world of touring with a van. We really enjoyed their company up in the Kimberley, seems like so long ago now. Cheers Andrew & Lisa
Hi Andrew & Lisa, beautiful scenery and rock formations .A little maintenance of that walking track wouldn't have gone astray. That Efudex is shocking stuff ,2 applications to may face but not my head that must have been rough! I am a similar vintage and paying for the time in the sun living at Sunshine Coast in Qld.
Hi Ian.yep the same problem here, grew up on the Goldy, and sun protection was liberally applied Tropical Reef Oil and a pair of speedos. We are paying for our glorious youthful days. Cheers Andrew & Lisa
Your on the money there Mark, it is taking a bit of getting use to. I haven't been in long pants for 3 years. But it is pretty nice over here, it's living up to all the hype. Cheers Andrew & Lisa
Hi guys. It would be safe to say that you love your diesel heater !! Ha ha. We are looking at getting one also. Can we ask, where did you get yours. A recommendation would help us narrow down our search. Cheers John and Angela.
Hi John, you picked up on the diesel heater thing heh. Yes it has been invaluable here in Tassie, that's for sure. We went with the Webasto although it hurt me to fork out over $2000 but I couldn't face the barrage of criticism if I went cheep and it failed on us mid trip in Tassie. Talking to people that have gone with the Chinese brands, they all say they work fine. Our installer used to install the Chinese ones but he said he had so many come back with pump or controller failures he has stopped installing them. It all comes down to budget, if your budget can stretch to the European units at around $2000 then you should go for these, if it doesn't stretch that far, the Chinese units work fine, but you should get a second pump and control unit and carry them as spares, just in case. Just remember these things are a little furnace blasting away under you bed, so I went down the path of reliability & safety over cost for my decision. Cheers Andrew
Hi Jack glad you enjoyed the vid. The walking sticks are nothing special, I think they are mid price range from Anaconda, I think we paid around $50 for a pair on sale. Cheers Andrew & Lisa
A couple of comments guys. Do they tie your vehicles down on the ferry? Is it not a bit risky parking overnight under trees in strong wind? I would imagine a large falling branch would do some serious damage? Great video as per usual.
Hi Chris, thanks for dropping us a line. Re the ferry, I didn't see them lash anything down but they had 2 hours from when we boarded until we hit Bass Strait so they could have in that time. Parking under trees yes 100% agree there is a risk there, I wouldn't do it if it was windy, but sometimes you have no option, it's under a tree or find another campground. We are too used to camping in the north where you pray you can get a spot under a shady tree. Cheers Andrew & Lisa
Hi Jan Andrew here, I have been many years ago (like 35 years ago) and spent a month touring around with a Kiwi friend. Lisa has never been. We have it on our wish list to get there one day. Cheers Andrew & Lisa
Hi Kath, it is first in best dressed, no bookings possible. It would pay to get in by noon as it did fill up in the late afternoon when we were there. Cheers Andrew & Lisa
Well done Andrew & Lisa, if more people like you chose the path less trodden those bushes would be easier to get through, also those steep climbs make for fantastic views and keep you fit into the bargain. Tassie is indeed a fantastic place, cant believe it almost 25 years since I was there. Loved the teaser for the next episode, safe travels, David 👋😃
Hi David, wow, 25 years, it's time for another trip. only problem is those climbs don't get any easier with age, we are feeling every metre of altitude we go up. Cheers Andrew & Lisa
Tasmania 💕bringing back memories

I think the saying is....take the road less travelled.
Just wondered if you've ever been to nz

@@TerraRoundOz been really enjoying your travels 😁
Quick question on Bunjil camp - did you have to book it or just rock up?
Hi Kath, it is first in best dressed, no bookings possible. It would pay to get in by noon as it did fill up in the late afternoon when we were there.

@TerraRound Australia thank you. Just planning for next year. Cheers.
