Clearing The Air... I wanted to get these things off my chest for a while as authenticity is extraordinarily important to me. I know this isn’t 100% of it but this is what I can offer currently to address these situations.
As mentioned in the video, deeper explanation videos coming when legally available. Please be patient as these are topics that I’d like to do my due diligence to ensure I am speaking about these topics accurately.
This goes without saying but please don't sent hate to anyone, any company, etc. involved.
Also a quick reminder I am human, still learning and growing.
Thank you for your understanding and compassion and thank you hearing me out.

How is it diff between drunk elephant and naturium...both using this platform to promote them...end of the day suzi or elephant do not care about what happens...as long as products are sold.
Suzi did by coming as nobody...talking about diff brands and mixed with her own...then said ohh this is my brand too...I forgot to mention. When people came after her...she continued to mention other products she uses so people think ohh she loves other brands too. Smart marketing.
And drunk came after people directly as u saying.
      So how are they diff?

@@NoMarkledZone I think it was explained pretty well in the video. Drunk elephant was attacking/blaming people for skin conditions they couldn’t control which is really different in my mind. Neither were good but since they’re two different issues in my opinion they should be judged differently accordingly

I think that if they're low key "pressured" to conform to Sephora's fake review practices to set foot in the industry, it is more understandable. Yet I agree with you, doesn't matter if you're all female led or something, fake reviews are fake reviews! Even if the brand itself didn't have anything to do with the reviews and it all was Sephoras fault... calling out fake reviews is helpful for others.

They have to make everyone happy. And that is the problem. Plenty of people just find ways and means to complain. For the Sephora comments, just because a company claims to be vegan, clean, etc etc, I do not stop mistrusting. All companies want to profit. And plenty of companies lie in order to get us to believe things. People automatically assume that big business is the only one that does this, all brands can, and do if given the chance. It’s in many ways a way to promote themselves and set themselves apart from a billion item industry. And the products may actually work so it may be a white lie.

Why are you against people who care having access to this info, when there are plenty of resources for what you're looking for?

A brand being female founded does not preclude it from honest business practices. I'm not more comfortable with being manipulated by a fellow woman than by a man. "Women support women!" Does not include not holding women to the same standards we hold men. That is not a defense or a reason not to "attack" (Being honest is attacking?) a brand. The fact that this is Sephora fault is worth knowing but it's honestly super offensive to me that "but the owner/founder is a woman" is being used a defense. Feminism should never be used in bad faith to defend corporate malpractice.

Cass, I dealt with really severe acne when I was 17, it was severe to the point I didnt like to shave cause some of my pimples would bleed. At the time I didnt had the amount of knowledge I have today and I just wanted all my pimples to disappear.
When I look to old photos I feel grateful that I had the courage to see a dermatologist cause I knew that my problems would only be solved by using tretinoin (and I was pretty scared). I have to admit that when I see those photos I usually think “how in hell did I go out with my skin looking like that” and I feel ashamed (I know I shouldnt be but it is what it is).

On Naturium, as someone who works for an international company that deals with fortune 500 companies, I can speak to the complex nature of deals. NDAs are serious, one minute everyone is on board and ready to sign contracts, then the next second someone pulls out and wants XYZ added to the contract. Things get really messy and complicated on what can or cannot be shared, then magically one day all the stars align, and boom the deal is complete and someone is now a part of the deal. To the public, it looks like this all happened in a matter of seconds, or that shady stuff was going on, but the back end is soooooooo complicated and CANNOT be shared with the public in case it all falls apart at the last second.

As for Liah, that was such a heartbreaker. I loved Krave’s MHHC so much, but I will never purchase from them again. From what I have read, Liah was in a leadership position in that church and donated a lot of money to them. Do I think it was the right move to launch the way she did? No. Because if you’re confident about your brand, it’s ingredients/formulations and philosophy then there’s nothing to worry about and people would enjoy it and know it’s good and it works. I think that the mindset that you cannot criticize a forward-thinking brand is a bit dangerous. Imagine a makeup company that is woman-owned, has diverse hiring practices, and give a lot in charity back to the community. If it was uncovered that that company was sourcing its mica from child slave labor, then I think someone would have a moral imperative to call that out, because all the good the company does is entirely separate from this one morally abhorrent act. While obviously what the company you are talking about did something much less awful than my example, what they did was still shady as heck (though as you mentioned it did sound like they might have been pushed into it by sephora). Calling out the bad a company does is not an indictment on the good that they do, it is a call to action for them to lessen the negative that they do.

Cassandra, noone is going to judge us so hard as we ourselves. I feel with you how hard it is to see pictures of the past without having this dark thoughts against ourselves. I see mine as a cloud, sometimes clouds stay a little longer, but they always move on.
You are such a strong woman who cares so much about others, I admire your strenght, you should too❤
I have suffered since I was like 10, on Dermatillomania. I discovered just a year ago that this is a pretty common condition which due to too less information many who suffer it don't know about.
I would love it if you could consider spreading awarenness and recommending products for scarring etc.!
You are and have always been wonderful 🦋

I’m so late to this video but still want to commend you for bringing up something important: sometimes there’s no easy decision to be made.
I “put my money where my morals are” and the first question I ask is if something is packaged in glass or metal, as I find plastic pollution to be one of the biggest threats to our planet.
I continue to buy naturium, not because “xyz is okay,” but rather it is in my budget, the items I buy from them are packaged in glass, it is cruelty-free, and it is made in the US.
I prioritize one issue over another. That’s okay, that’s human.

Ooh Cassandra, we are our own worst critics. I had cystic acne for years and it took a lot of therapy for me to get to the point where I can talk about my experience without speaking negatively about myself.

People have gotten so sensitive about everything. I don't know one person who has never jumped to conclusions or spoke up to a subject before knowing the whole situation. Everybody does it from time to time. I understand that influencers have a big following and have more impact as me for example. But they're still human. If you're 100% perfect and never do anything wrong, go ahead. But most likely, you're not. None of us is. And the thing how you talk about your skin issues..... I'm the same. Flaws I see in myself, I don't see in other people and I don't care about them. But the way I speak about how I feel or felt is my business. It is what I feel inside. If you're too young or too immature to differentiate that how you feel or felt about yourself doesn't equate how you feel about other people and it hurts you how Cassandra felt about herself, you shouldn't be on social media. Sorry if this sounds harsh. But as a nearly 32 year old with skin problems I appreciate the way Cassandra speaks about the feelings that you have in those situations and that it doesn't mean you think of others the same way. I think there are bigger problems in the world. Cassandra, I love you and your videos. You're one of the few UA-camrs I trust. Don't feel the need to apologize for thing's we've all done ❤

Cruelty free matters to me. I may watch, but cruelty free will ALWAYS be my first choice. It matters to me A LOT....thank you for always giving us those options. And geeze all these apologies for me personally are not nessary, we all talk a certain way, and that's ok. And your personal opinions, verbage, are just that, even when referring to your self. I sometimes say, wow Im such a piggy, because I'm gaining weight, yet I certainly do NOT think others are piggy because maybe they are a few pounds over weight, and actually maybe they aren't, if they don't see that for themselves, then they are not. Simple....I appreciate your effort here. But DONT BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF. YOU HUMAN, AND UNIQUELY YOU!!! And thats ok.

We are very grateful to you for how much you have taught us, especially me. I learned so much from you. I love the fact that you were a severe acne sufferer and this is why I value your advise. Preach! I'm very fortunate to have not suffered acne but I can totally appreciate your comments and the perspectives of others on your acne struggles. Having suffered with anorexia and chronically low self esteem, I understand you can sometimes upset others by judging your own body image, particularly individuals who are already vulnerable to low self esteem, and I'm very mindful of. However, I cannot stress enough how people with their own body insecurities never mean to project their insecurities on others. I never judge others on their appearance. Everyone is beautiful. Like many, I have difficulties with accepting my own appearance, which I'm actively working to improve so I can naturally spread more body positivity to others 💕

As someone who works in the CPG industry, it is common practice to seed reviews before products launch. Sometimes it’s a timing thing, where the product detail page goes live, but product might be late. In terms of the reviews, consumers are essentially sent free product to test and write honest reviews so that they are available for other purchasers when the item actually hits the market. Having said all of that, if you don’t work in this type of industry then you wouldn’t necessarily know that so I can see how they might appear fake. I am also not saying that fake reviews don’t happen, because it’s definitely prevalent too, but the instance you described that just sounds like the normal review seeding process. Amazon has their Vine program for new launches for example.

I reeeeeally don’t like this trend of essentially forcing LGBT creators to speak on/condemn homophobia. It’s just very weird to send potentially triggering things to people so they can virtue signal to make *you* feel better. Yes, it’s important for straight/cis allies to be vocal, but it’s super insensitive to expect the same from LGBT people when having to unpack that content can have a much more harmful impact on us.

And I'm not homophobic, not lesbian, I'm a Human and a Woman of this World, well informed, I think (and I Know! 😉😊) that I'm nicely intelligent and good educated... But: I'm your very "big and older Sister", learned a lot of cruel, stupid and bad People.
But I'm also buddhish, and this was around 45 years ago my Best Lessons I had learned (and I'm learned always, every Day! 💞), that YOU are for yourself the most important Person!
Don't give bad Humans the Power to treat yourself so bad, that they hurt YOU, that they can destruct YOU!
Be true, stand totally to yourself.
Don't allow these People to hurt YOU so badly!
    Shame on them!
Because they are to fool to listen exactly, what YOU mean, what your real Opinion is, and your Opinion doesn't have to be 100 % the right Opinion to them!
It's YOURS, and your Expieriences are YOUR'S!
There is nothing to be struggling with !
Try to look inside your Heart, and of course your "Brain" and Soul!
YOU are a really very adult, lovely Person which wann to help us, to help each other with your real great Knowledge!
But YOU never said, that you are the very Best, the one which know all of Skin-😫Problems and can cure them!
If People are to lazy, to listen, learn and read, these ist NOT YOUR FAULT!
And you have any Right to tell the World your true and honest Opinion!
Save you from Germany, we can tell others what we want to!
    If others can't accept this - f...them!
Don't let them to put your Soul and your Heart and Feelings down!
You are a very lovely Person....and nearly a Million Humans LOVE and like you!
    Big Sisterly Kiss... 💋😍👏🍀🍀🍀💓

I'm glad you talked through all of this, it gives a lot of us more confidence in you and really highlights your credibility.
Personally though, I am a bit underwhelmed by the part about naturium. I know your knowledge is confidential, however, nothing can change how many fans of susan yara feel/felt deceived by her. A major reason people won't support the brand is because of the advertisements/endorsements done by susan prior to her becoming a significant person within the brand (according to her and her apology) and not informing viewers about this change in relationship to the brand. I really don't see how any amount of confidential information could change the black and white aspects of this issue that susan herself admitted to in her apology.
However, if there is new information regarding this, I hope they will address it eventually because I had to stop watching susan after this due to how it made me feel as a consumer.

I agree! I just don’t understand what can be confidential.... like it made me even more confused. Before I knew all about naturium I tried their vitamin c serum and loved it but I won’t repurchase now. Also their new launches were so expensive to me (their fermented cleanser and balm) I asked on Instagram why for 3/4oz they were 20 bucks each which seemed like a lot so I asked if there was a reason why and was completely ignored.... idk. They seem shady. I love Cassandra so no shade but that part just made me more confused cause I thought there was going to be answers.

Susan outright lied about Naturium saying when one person asked her, “how did you find them?” Yara replied, “They sent me a PR mailer when they launched! It’s really good!” She violates FTC which states “FTC has issued clear advertising guidelines for content creators. Such guidelines include points like, “Clearly DISCLOSE when you have a financial or family relationship with a brand.” or “Ensure your sponsorship disclosure is HARD TO MISS,” among others.“
