Hi Sharon.... so sorry you have had so much on you lately... the cedar bed might be saved by wrapping it with corrugated metal... the top looks in pretty good shape... You are my favorite garden blogger... I love your sense of humor and I so enjoy your tomato reviews... I wish I lived near you because I started so many tomatoes that I don't think I can handle them all and they are beautiful... I would love to give some to another tomato lover... Most people I know are not so enthused about gardening.. You need a water catchment system at your place... It's pretty easy and cheap.... get your man to help you with one. Hope things start looking up for you... Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your kind words! I am lucky to have one friend who loves to grow tomatoes as much as me. As for the rest ... we'll see what happens. Take care!
Hi Sharon, I'm sorry to hear about your seedlings. Oh it hurts my soul when something happens to seedlings that you start because they're not replaceable most of the time. I'm excited to see all the changes you're doing. And how fun to work with your boyfriend's garden. Excited to see how it goes for ya. Keep us updated!
The same thing happened to me. Two yrs ago we got a puppy after we lost our beloved dog of 12 yrs, and no matter how hard I blocked off my grow space she still found her way in there (especially when hubby was the only one home) and she ate every flower seedling I started and some veg. I did not have a good yr that yr and I took a breakfast yr...hoping for bigger and better things this yr!
Sharon, how great to see you again! I'm so happy you are going to be gardening this year. How sweet that you are dating and that you can have a nice place to experiment! You will be where I am, I am on the border of zones 5a/4b. I have a bunch of tomato seeds started. I'm also expanding my garden, should be able to do the ground work this weekend as long as the rain holds off. I also am going to grow pickling cucumbers, hope I have good luck with them, I have a challenge growing them here. I'm getting my potatoes in the buckets this weekend. The grandkids love harvesting them. I'm looking forward to your videos! 🤗
Hi Tracy! It's good to hear you will be having a garden again this year. My granddaughter loves to harvest potatoes, too. Sometimes I think I grow them just for her. :)
…Nice to see you Sharon. 🤗 I am looking forward to your new garden this year. You and your boyfriend will have cucumbers and tomatoes coming out of your ears no doubt. You can also grill up some veggies and Usingers beef hot dogs on your Weber grill. 🔥 It will be fun, and it will all work out. 🌱 🐶 🪴 🍅
Happy to see a video from you. I wondered what happened to you-glad you are persevering and changing things up. Btw…I answered when you asked “do you see what’s missing?”…at the same time I said “she took down the trellises!” The weather shifts has been a bane as it’s caused me to lose my starts…our critters are rabbits and squirrels.
Oh my gosh Sharon, you have been THROUGH IT. Wow. Lots of changes and some very exciting! Glad you caught that mouse. What a jerk. Sioux Falls hit 90 degrees, earlier in the week before it got to y'all. The week before we still have a foot of snow on the ground. We are on the line of Zone 4b/5a. We differ on the wanting heat though, I wanted it to stay. Rabbits chewed up my trees badly, even the ones that were wrapped, as the snow was so deep it just lifted them above it. The sooner I know how many trees I have to replace, the better to catch sales and get things while they are in stock. Pretty sure my apple trees are goners. Boy do I hate rabbits. Expensive little buggers. I am planting 70+ tomato varieties in my backyard garden this year, but few hybrids. I did a give away of seeds months ago, but I have a lot still. You want some, I'll send you some. LMK and I'll send you a list with available varieties. Be well.
Hi! I am lucky that I don't have a rabbit problem at my house. I might, though, in the new garden. Thanks for the offer of seeds but I managed to scrape enough together to have a decent crop. Good luck with all of your tomatoes!!

Thanks! As gardeners we are pretty good with dealing with that kind of thing. I hope that mouse got a good bite of the spicy pepper plants!
Welcome back
Thank you!
So glad to see you back Sharon! Love all the changes coming, can’t wait for the videos to come
So good to see you again Sharon, I missed you and your videos. Good luck with your new garden plans.
Thanks so much!

Thanks, Aisha. Yeah the weather is driving me nutso! We're getting three seasons in a weekend. Hopefully we will get warm soon!
