If I had my car at a shop that was doing work and I found out that the employees were driving my car well over the speed limit and pushing it to its limits for the entertainment of another employee I would sue the shit out of them
If you had the chance to sell your own wheels for over 8k you would do it in a heart beat and not worry about other brand names or if they have cheaper.
