I had forgotten some of the actors/actresses who were on the show. Can't believe Grayson, Mr. Frid, Dan Curtis, Sam Hall, Gordon Russell and Louis Edmonds are no longer with us. Have been watching the videos of the 70s episodes of the 1840 storyline. Brings back a lot of memories!
I'm surprised it was only eight minutes long Sooooo many gone. I am grateful that Mr. Karlen is doing okay and that HE actually was able to attend the fest. t would not have been the same without him. Mr. Karlen was the guest and first DS actor to ever attend the very first DS conventions back in early 80's
Now, you can add the great Robert Rodan, and Chris Pennick. I was just a kid when they were introduced and now they r gone. Cried when I saw Jonathan. Everyone was wonderful, but he was the glue. So enjoying watching the whole series again on Tubi
Wow. Shit-tons of D.S. alumni have passed........ Makes you realize how just how pitifully short EVERYONE'S life is--INCLUDING YOUR OWN. Yes, the world will still be turning, the mountains and the oceans will all still be there, and that highway that you travel on all the time will still have cars and trucks rolling down it all the time even after you're gone. The world is not dependent on you to survive, and it will not come to a standstill upon your demise. Kinda sucks in a way, doesn't it?........ I was one of those kids who rushed home after school on a daily basis for years because missing an episode of Dark Shadows was not an option. Missing an episode could be like missing a thousand episodes, as the show sometimes took drastic turns within the space of just one episode--e.g., characters suddenly traveling through time, and the whole show then changing to accommodate the new dynamic, with new characters popping up, etc. Whenever an episode got pre-empted for some stupid reason (like, oh, I don't know......the world was coming to an end), I would be yelling at my TV to give me my damn show--and what the hell was I supposed to do now that they screwed us out of an episode?

I was teenager lady in the 1980s and I would watch the reruns on Cable Television.

Very well done & very moving. I was there in person, and it was nice that everyone was remembered. The Dark Shadows music made it so special.

wonderful and sad too. i knew Jonathan Frid would be the last one presented. i do wish some network would pick up the series and show it again.

RIP to all of them and I had no idea that Mr.Conrad Bain the dad from Different Strokes were on Dark Shadows.
I believe he played an inn keeper for a short time who was killed off by a werewolf.
