Aw man Simon I relate HEAVY to the disliking water in my eyes thing. Baths were a tough thing with it for me for a while and even now I can’t shower without a towel in reach to wipe my eyes. I know he’s too young to be thinking about going under water, but he might enjoy the water slides at the pool even more if you got him a pair of goggles to wear.
Ezra was so happy and excited at the water park❤ That was an awesome flip Benson !!!! 🎉🎉 I love how your children are so helpful and sweet !! Love watching this fam
Hello! Just wanted to say that my husband and I really admire your family. I love how relatable you all are. 🥰 My son was diagnosed with level 3 autism and he is 2 years old and I decided to get him diagnosed because of your videos. Thank you for everything that you do ! ❤️
Thank you so much for watching the videos and letting us know your story ❤️. We are so glad that it has been helpful for you. Many blessings and much love for your family and your little guy. Let us know if there’s anything we can do to help you out. ❤️
I absolutely do not think you are being “too pushy” with feeding Ezra, the first bite is literally ALWAYS a fight with my 4 year old son and after bite number one he goes on and eats the entire thing but man that first bite…🙄 it’s like he forgets he likes it 🤷🏻♀️😂
It is so endearing to see how you interact with the boys. I am that way with my 5 yr old grandson. He is my baby. We are in the middle of trying to potty train him and let me tell you, thank God for patience. But it’s okay. He is starting kindergarten tomorrow and I am wondering how he will handle it. He was in preschool the last year and he went half the day. He isn’t to happy about leaving the playground either. I love how the other kiddies interact with their brothers. I really enjoy looking at your videos.
Simon es muy independiente, Ezra 😅 me trasmite su alegría muy feliz que la paso en las albercas , todos tus hijos son maravillosos mi Jesús me los cuide ❤❤❤
How do you get your boys to try something new? Food, beds, etc.! Would you consider doing a video on this? It would be so helpful for new moms to this!
Yes, we will put that on our video list. 😊 We don’t always do the best with this, but in hindsight, slower transitions, and working up to things really make a big difference. As you can see in this bad episode we thought, Ezra would love the bed, but, he definitely wasn’t super excited at first. 😊. We should have done a slower transition, and I think that is one of the biggest keys to helping them do new things. Also, our kids got used to a lot of new things when we were traveling full-time in the RV to all the national parks, so I think that helped.
I’ve been there when visiting family in Utah!! My cousin used to be a lifeguard there! I love to swim and am on a swim team but I don’t like water slides.
@@7Aheadfamily Yeah, I even had a good day today. One of the best hes had since like schools ended, but he had a lot of fun today. He was feeling really down, everyone made him feel real good about myself. Good to see him back to normal. Quit him love that kid so much.
I also liked Dr. Seuss when I was younger. By about second or third grade (age eight to nine) I started to move on to more advanced books (mostly non-fiction). Since Simon is level one he might be able to do this a little sooner than I did as long as his PDA doesn’t get in the way. If you give him books that he’s interested in and don’t pressure him too much it probably won’t be much of an issue.
Love water slides: Just not the ones that go upside down, the floor drops out under you or your 100-300 feet or even higher in the sky and there is no safety railing. (Basically you and a vertical drop) -Too scary and not me. That’s an incredible flipping talent you have Benson!!! Nice job 👍
I can relate both of my children one a boy one a girl one mild one severe and love water but hate water in their face so we stopped swimming lessons now one is asking for gargles and my son also love lightning McQueen Youre doing great
It’s good that Simon knows the word “baby” and what it means. I think I was at least five years old (if not six) before I truly understood that word. I think I first heard that word as a reference to someone other than myself around Christmas time while my parents were showing me a manger scene for the first time that I can remember at this time.
We love having pools never had a pool. Because my grandfather didn't know how to swim. So we never got a pool in my basement too. And a lot of the kids wanted to go inside. And but a lot of times I let my nephew watch the kids if they want to go downstairs. Cause I like being outside especially in this muggy heat. All my nieces and nephews, all my friends. We all know how to swim very well. And that's all we did. We've used the potty and swim all day long. That's, I'm trying to break the app. But we had a party today for a little kid with autism
Awwww love this family and kids so adorable I think head pats for Simon I think the bigger one and cars like lightning McQueen I never seen it lol just adorable
Thank you for sharing your family with us! Takes courage and a sense of confidence to do what you do everyday! I know how unwelcome other people's advice can be and I hope not to be that in this moment. My experience with ADHD/Asperger's is rather dated, since me son is now old enough to have his own family with kids older than yours (also ASD/ Asperger's) -- it should be acknowledged that if you know one kid with autism, you know one kid with autism ;-) I wanted to share with you two of my little helpers in case it may be useful to you. The first is The Feingold Diet. Changed my son's life, but as a single parent with needing help from sitters and family for babysitting (old term), it was difficult to do it 100%. When I could have him on it regularly, there were some real changes to triggers and behaviors. The other is the author Temple Grandin who was a non-verbal autistic and was able to develop her own devices to calm herself eventually allowing her to get her Phd. There is a movie (2010) about her and her book is called Thinking in Pictures (I think). One thing she did while still young, with the help of her mother, she saw a specialist who used a combination of sounds, rhythm patterns, etc. that helped retrain her brain. I apologize for being one more voice! I think you and and your family are amazing! You have done so much and it, while it's hard to see sometimes, you are creating a great life for your entire family. Bless you all!
Wow! You have so much wisdom. I am aware of Temple, she’s awesome, but new to the diet that you mentioned. So I’ll look that up. Thank you for sharing and for your kind worlds. ❤️
@@7Aheadfamily You go girl! And, you go family! Please Note: Within Temple's book is the reference for the sound therapy doctor in France... he's probably no longer around, but his therapy is. It has been credited with huge changes as it is using sound waves at different frequencies and sometimes multiple waves at the same time to teach the brain how to deal with sound -- to sort it out. We used it with our son when he was very young and, while his world isn't perfect and there are still areas where he lacks flexibility or simply can't get what is being said -- too much background noise I suspect -- he managed to find he could be rather charming. He is a Regional Manager at a Fortune 100 company. At age 13, I was told that he had a 20% chance of being able to survive on his own -- with some assistance. Keep up what your doing and, please know that your prayers have answers: yes, no, and wait (my favorite idea about that❤️🩹♥️💝
I have always liked water, I learned to swim as a teen with help from a therapist but I am scared of waterslides because I hurt myself in a few slides as a kid and that made some kind of phobia for them in me. But just as Simon I hated to get water in my face as a kid and I still today have it hard with showers and rain.
It’s a good thing that the “Good job Simon” was said with a soft voice. Between his level one autism and his PDA it might be too overwhelming for him otherwise.
Simon is really good at reading for being three I was 7 when I learned how to read. Later I found out that I have a learning disability and autism so that might explain it maybe
Yeah, that would definitely contribute. Yeah, Simon is a little reader. I think it’s because of how much his therapist read with him and he really likes it.
Hey my nephew is 4 and he doesn’t quite understand how a bike works. He would just walk around with the bike or just sit on i but ever push the petals is this an cause and effect thing or something else. When he was 2 or 3 we got him a tricycle and did the same things
It could be, but it depends on a lot of different factors. Does your nephew have a lot of other signs of autism? The best thing to do is get an a professional evaluation if you have concerns, because then you’ll know.
Maybe either this year or next year Simon can begin to learn how to put on his own sunscreen. This might be a way to turn the increased desire for autonomy associated with his PDA into more of a positive.
Wow that is some kind of Harry Potter magic the way your husband managed to hold the phone (let alone your son) and it stay dry. I used to play with my moms hair just like Simon does. Although, I wasn't diagnosed back then, it's now clear to me that was a stim that helped me regulate myself. I still do this stim, just a little bit different. I let my hair grow a little bit to have it slightly long on my forehead. This allows me to still have a short haircut on the rest of my head (I get overstimulated by my own hair if the rest of my head get too long) while still having some hair long enough for me to stim with it and rub it on my forehead. Now that I'm older, I also grow my beard just so that I can use it to stim (in my case, this does require me to wash my beard every single day since it gets really greasy due to how much I stim with it)
What do your older kids do 4 extracurricular activities & 2 socialize with friends there age. They seem 2 have 2 take on alit of rhe responsibilities of there younger brothers & things around your house when there still kids as well.
My three older kids have responsibilities and chores, but they do have fun stuff too. Mark plays the piano, and takes lessons, and he is going to start singing lessons. Mark also plays with his friends all the time, and on Tuesday nights does church activities with his friends. Benson’s loves parkour. He goes to the trampoline extreme air sports place twice a week with his dad and works on his flips and he loves Minecraft and he plays with his friends about three times a week, Marie plays a lot with friends since she doesn’t have a sister, she goes to her friends’ houses quite often, and she also plays piano and takes tap lessons. Mark loves to read and it is currently on the second book of “way of kings” by Brandon Sanderson. Marie loves to read right now and is waiting to go to the library to pick up the eighth book of “the keeper of the lost cities”, book series.
It was hard to watch Simon go down that slide it was way too much for such a little guy. He clearly was uncomfortable with the whole experience. I just wanted to hug him. Hopefully, the next adventure he enjoys more. Thanks for sharing.
I love water slides but kinda scare of it at the same time, I afraid that I would drown into pool since I don't know how to swim, I still love slides tho

We should do another video on that soon. 😊 We have a video coming out tomorrow morning on ABA which talks a little bit about this and the doctor gives an example as well.
Hi. I do not know if you are talking about this in any of your videos, but was there anything different in pregnancy with Ezra in comparison to other pregnancies? Were there any risk factors? High blood sugar, high blood pressure or anything else?
For me, my pregnancies were completely normal for me. I didn’t have any risk factors. It was the same with Simon as well. The pregnancy went really well.
We got tornado warnings. I'm getting all the kids out there. I got Ivan to my grandsons with me. My 3 grandsons and I'm gonna hang around with them for a little while. And then see how it is supposed to be supposed to get, like 2 inches of rain. Today supposed to be nasty out? I don't even have a car that can be on the road. My son just get out of work. Hes gonna let me borrow his new Dodge hornet. To go to my sister's, his friend's gonna pick him up. There's tornado warnings, we just wanna be safe. You know, like we're going somewhere just going to my sister's house, my sister's oh my daughter's house.
I have never been a fan of pool water in my face either. The chlorine in the water always causes my eyes to sting. Maybe that’s what’s happening with Simon here.
Have you tried therapies for your babies ? If yes then ..do they help children to communicate&socialise? If not then why not ..please reply ..my child start showing some of theses symptoms
We have found that what has helped our children the most has been Occupational Therapy, Speech therapy, having a sensory diet, and even some music therapy as well. Of course you experiences could be very different. You can try therapies and see what your child likes and what helps. Getting a diagnosis is important to start getting services. Good luck with everything. Let us know ❤️ how it goes.

True. I wish that they would wear the swimming ones, but they won’t wear those ones. We’ve tried and they hate them and they take them off. They can’t take these ones off. ❤️
Seems like a lot of attention seeking adults LARPing like they have autism in the comments, its annoying, All these people watching tiktok and convincing themselves that they are autistic.
i dont like and aggree with how you call it mild and server as no autism is mild or server they are all diffrent we all need support but diffrent so please stop calling it mild cause to us the ones with autism dont feel like we need less support or dont strrugle as much just cause we dont act the same as non verble autistic people
You're right. With two kids who are Autistic, I feel it's weird to call them both Autistic since they’re so different from each other. Simon understands most things I say, but Ezra, not so much. Even though you are correct. I wish there were appropriate clarifying words to describe how Autism effects each of them. But there isn't, so I guess that's why people play around with unofficial words, like "Light" Autism or "mild" Autism. I don't know, I don't like saying that my son, Ezra has "Severe" Autism, but when people ask where is he on the Spectrum I feel I have to give them a full ten page report on his diagnosis, when, honestly I don't want to. What do you think? Are there any words that you say to describe Autism? Or do you like to keep it simple with that one word?
@@7Aheadfamily well autism is a spectrum diffrence thats how i say wich means everyone who has a diogmoses is diffrent we all need help and support but in diffrent ways i think that its a relay difficult thing to explaine to people
@@7Aheadfamily yes i totaly agree with you but i would call my autitism " my autism " not server or mild cause another autistic girl my age wont have the exact same struugles to me and will need diffrent support to me . personly i get where you are coming from as neother of your boys will be at the stage of telling you what there autism means to them .

Now that I'm older, I also grow my beard just so that I can use it to stim (in my case, this does require me to wash my beard every single day since it gets really greasy due to how much I stim with it)
That is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing. 😊 We will save this comment for Simon when he’s older. 😊
Adica pentru distrugeri si autodistrugeri, trebuie sa ii dam termenului de inafara naturii, mamica suprema, gluma, respect si partea ei.

❤️❤️❤️
I love water slides but kinda scare of it at the same time, I afraid that I would drown into pool since I don't know how to swim, I still love slides tho
They can be pretty scary sometimes. But they are fun. ❤️

Pentru fiecare minciuna care ti-a distrus creierul, irationalul razboi, tot ti esti dator ca sa ii dai partea..Este la fel ca in cazul naturii sau credintei sau dragostei cand te ajuta.

Are You take speech rtherepy for simon.?
Yes, they do speech therapy every day
@@7Aheadfamily how can we do it by ourself?
Please tell me 🙏🙏which therapy we can do at our home?
Please help me out in this
We should do another video on that soon. 😊 We have a video coming out tomorrow morning on ABA which talks a little bit about this and the doctor gives an example as well.
@@7Aheadfamily thank you so much 🙏❤️
You bet!
@@7Aheadfamily Did you do any genetic testing?
No we have not. Do you have a recommendation.
@@7Aheadfamily No. We have not done it yet.
So far I haven’t heard of any widely accepted genetic testing for autism. There does seem to be something genetic about it though. ❤️😊❤️

That’s scary, stay safe ❤️
Ezra and simon are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute
Thank you!❤️😊❤️ We really appreciate you!💜😊💜
8:15 at least get him some eye goggles maybe? (If he can wear them)
That's a really good idea. i wonder if he'd wear them. We should try that. Thanks
@@7Aheadfamilyyour welcome! Sorry if my comment seemed a bit rude
Oh no, that was a very kind comment. 😊 We do get some mean ones, but we appreciate your kindness and watching and commenting.
I have never been a fan of pool water in my face either. The chlorine in the water always causes my eyes to sting. Maybe that’s what’s happening with Simon here.
Thank you for sharing!💜
Have you tried therapies for your babies ?
If yes then ..do they help children to communicate&socialise? If not then why not ..please reply ..my child start showing some of theses symptoms
We have found that what has helped our children the most has been Occupational Therapy, Speech therapy, having a sensory diet, and even some music therapy as well. Of course you experiences could be very different. You can try therapies and see what your child likes and what helps. Getting a diagnosis is important to start getting services. Good luck with everything. Let us know ❤️ how it goes.
Maybe Ezra’s school can teach him about brushing his teeth just like Simon’s preschool teaches him about it.
Good idea!💙
when will ezra be able to talk
We aren’t sure he will but we are working on helping him learn how to use his iPad to communicate. ❤️
@@7Aheadfamilyanother idea is sign languag.😮
We love sign language. We’ve been doing that as well. ❤️
Water slides have always made me nervous.
Agreed. Water slides can be scary❤
I love sleeping in. Emmalina let's me sleep in lolz she goes to bed at midnight to 1 sometimes 2 . It's her thing so I'm cool with that.
Emmalina can use utensils but chooses to eat with her hands
Yes, following the kids a sleeping schedule is sometimes a necessity. Glad you get that time to sleep in. 😊

Why is Ezra still in a high chair
He is not usually in one, but sometimes we put him in one💜

Like Ezra I also like butter. On the other hand I don’t like margarine.
Than you for watching and commenting!❤❤❤
We have tornado warnings. Everyone who wants to come to my house like to chill but I wanna take my kids to Plymouth rock. I'm gonna take my kids to Plymouth rock and let people stay at my house. I don't care like just still drink too much. I want to take, does it go see Plymouth rock? And I really don't know why. I got a friend that I could stay with. I got family down in Plymouth tyou. Guys would like Plymouth rock. You should have stopped by Plymouth rock. When you came through to go to Acadia. You will Michael, your kids will love the Plymouth Plantation.
Yes, that place is cool, I’ve been there, but we didn’t stop with the kids when we came through.
Ezra seems to be as ticklish as I was at that age.
Thank you for sharing💜💜💜
Hello is astiums kids better go for diagnosed treatment...
I’m not sure I understand your question. ❤️ Could you try rephrasing it?
Yall have the wrong kinda life jackets 4 a pool. You have boating ones on your kids & there hard 2 swim in..
True. I wish that they would wear the swimming ones, but they won’t wear those ones. We’ve tried and they hate them and they take them off. They can’t take these ones off. ❤️
Si nu putem sa oprim razboiul, greseli fata de tine si reciproc,de care nici nu stim...hi hi..sa mori de ras
😂
Seems like a lot of attention seeking adults LARPing like they have autism in the comments, its annoying, All these people watching tiktok and convincing themselves that they are autistic.
There are worse things.
Shakespeare autistic,ai inteles???
Maybe a little
i dont like and aggree with how you call it mild and server as no autism is mild or server they are all diffrent we all need support but diffrent so please stop calling it mild cause to us the ones with autism dont feel like we need less support or dont strrugle as much just cause we dont act the same as non verble autistic people
You're right.
@@7Aheadfamily well autism is a spectrum diffrence thats how i say wich means everyone who has a diogmoses is diffrent we all need help and support but in diffrent ways i think that its a relay difficult thing to explaine to people
Agreed, it is a difficult thing to convey, especially to those who are unaware of autism.
I hope that soon, they will be able to tell us more abut how their Autism effect them. I can't wait to hear Ezra's voice. ❤️
