Hey Johan, I like using second wind because its an "oh shit" talent. I am currently progressing with a guild, not everybody (including myself) is geared enough for the tougher fights. If I am able to stay afloat during phases in which my healers can't get to me. But enraged isn't a bad choice, every tank has their own preference.
I can't think of one instance were second wind is better than enraged regeneration, except for soloing. I usually stay around 70-100% most of the fights. If for some reason I would go below 35% it's only for half a second.
I've recently started playing a warrior again (leveled a new one to 90) after a year long warcraft break, so I'm kinda still figuring things out but it's going well so far. I'm on 525 item level in about a week. I gem partly for parry/dodge and partly for parry/stamina and dodge/stamina gems. This gives him approximately 650K health unbuffed, which isn't much by today's standards (which is also why i'm trying to get some hemmed stamina in there). Would you say that, despite his relatively low gear and relatively low health, I should still gem/reforge him into as much avoidance as I can or should I get some stamina in there as well? Or should i only change to full avoidance with better gear? At this point I've managed to tank the first 3 parts of Flex without too much trouble, but of course it's possible that I could do even better with more avoidance.
Hey dude! Right now at your item level, it really doesn't matter what you gem for because you're going to be squishy. But you're doing it right by going into flex. At this point it really doesn't matter what you gem into because you won't get enough parry/dodge or even stamina to make much of a difference. Once you break 540 ilvl, you will start to see your warrior shine gemming for avoidance. So at this point, you're pretty much just trying to gear up until you hit that point where stats make a difference.
Problem with that is last stand's cooldown is 3 min, while enraged regen is 1 min. You should be using enraged regeneration when you take big hits and can't get healed quickly.
Why aren't you useing engrage reg? It's the best for warr tanking and second wind is basicly worthless if you are at 35% health you will die or get healed up in 2 sec + you shouldn't get below 35% more then 3-4 Times

I've actually switched to enraged regen, It's very useful, especially in the Garrosh fight.
