Broke privileged brain lol😂 My parent literally had to work bottom-up for about 20 years just to finally got promoted into higher working position and having a stable middle income (to our standard). I was born and raised through that second half and I *can* definitely tell him (and so do my parent) why average blue-collars Uygur workers today earns better income and able to live better quality life already.
I have visited shanghai, planning to visit beijing hopefully soon, and now looks like the beautiful desert in Kashgar will also be in my travel lists !

My friend and I were slowly making our way around China in 2018 and we thought we'd complete more travel after a couple of years and now here we are, can't get in anymore unless you have a ton of annual leave from work, and I don't have a ton of annual leave.
Wow ! You Got to interview cotton growers and ask right questions to show whether they are forced labors! The worker’s annual wage/income just from cotton harvest is around US $36k, up or down a bit depending on exchange rate. The owner’s is double, US$70-80K! That’s very good income. The only forced labour seems to be the machines!
You should go to Hotan City to see the Uluwati Water Conservancy Project. There is a miracle of the desert. At the foot of the Kunlun Mountains on the edge of the Taklimakan Desert, this reservoir was built to benefit the people of southern Xinjiang.

lol that 50% red date alcohol looked like it’s a real kicker. 50% is a lot a lot percentage a little goes along way. mix it with some sweet juice and fresh fruits it can taste like a nice mixed drink

the ones in china are called jujube actually. looks like they are totally different from the middle east ones. the trees of jujube are like, trees. but the trees of the middle east ones are palm trees.

Botancally they are completely different spieces. Jujube, or red dates, chinese dates, is a small deciduous tree. When fresh of season, it is juicy, crunchy, and sweet.
