2:19 For some reason when I go through the events, the lights dont light up. And there was a test recently and the eas tones were heard, but the beeping and the flashing lights didnt come on. How to fix?
How? I'm actually trying to hook up one of my miniature sirens with a weather radio so it will automatically sound in a tornado warning. How did you do it?
@@LimitlessProductionGroup fire alarms in America mostly have strobes but some are just horn only. I do also happen to be a fire alarm enthusiast by the way.
Hi just watched this video.Still don't know if my advisory light should l be on or not.Weekly test today light could of been on but did not notice just got radio Saturday.
Here's a question. If the contacts of the earphone jack of the 'strobe's' light are shorted does the strobes light? I'm trying to figure out if the transistor that controls the 'strobe' in in the WR120 or in the 'strobe' By the way. The 'strobe' is 100% a repurposed LED bicycle tail light.
I unfortunately am not sure about that one. That might be a question you would have to ask Midland directly. As for the repurposed bicycle light, I am not surprised at all.
The WR120EZ can also scan through the 7 channels when you are selecting your channel in the Channel Select option. All you have to do is press the right arrow button after you select “SET CHANNEL”.
I have a WR400, and that one is even easier to configure counties as it lists them by name. However, I believe counties are only available for US locations, but it's been a while since I've looked.
I called them to make the weekly test audible. Now once a week it scares the crap out of us. Nowhere in the manual does it instruct how to silence this weekly test. One would think that after all these years they would have all bases covered. Ugh. Just don't feel like calling again.
@@dogbreath180 For the 120 It's simple in menu you go to events edit events, and scroll the arrows al the way to weekly test, and you get the option to turn it off

I learned to connect a fire alarm to weather radio so it’s better than that battery led strobe
Unless you're deaf!
@@LimitlessProductionGroup that’s why fire alarms have strobes
Ohhhh that's what you meant. The strobe from a fire alarm and not just the alarm itself.

imagine the actual alarm was connected whenever you received an alert or something, the alarm went off. Now that would definitely wake you up.
Thank you for showing I'm trying to edit the warning on the wr120 this as help
You're very welcome!

Is that the WR-120EZ? That model allows you to select counties by number _or_ by name.
Yes, correct, it does also allow this option!

Does this work on display mode?
I have not personally tried it with display mode, but I would assume yes since the light is triggered by signal going through the weather station.

WR120 EZ or WR120B
