That was so funny lol
these people are very good parents. they keep their children happy even during a storm like this. very heartwarming
I admire that woman for raising three children of wildly different ages😃
The scariest time for a tornado is at night because you can't see anything but you can hear wind and trees hitting stuff and thunder but you cant see it.
Happened to me in texas but I was more interested for some reason and it was my first one
also rain wrapped tornadoes you usually can’t see those even in daylight.
I love how calm he is with the kids to keep them calm too. so they don't panic later on in life :)
Ikr
I love how chill he is even with the possibility of a bunch of tornados.
i think u get used to it when u live in oklahoma
Are we going to talk about how cute these kids are
no
I’m so glad to see that you took care of the pets right off the bat. I have watched so many of these videos were people intentionally forget about them. Our pets are like our children too! Anyone who doesn’t think that way certainly does not deserve a pet. Good job dad!

Cuz he plays the tornado game every spring! So do i
It’s because he’s an Oklahoman like I use to be. We don’t freak out when there’s storms because we’re so use to them happening

When I hear a tornado warning we don't speak we just instantly take action and head to the basement, we are working on a emergency kit
What do you keep in your kit? We just have flashlights food and first aid stuff
@@tristanhughes3091 well I forgot but I might discuss tonight
can we just take a minute to *appreciate* that the cameras *sacrificed themselves* just for this video.

Y'all need to get a real tornado shelter I love your energy you and your wife's energy is awesome
My dream for 10+ years is to be a storm chaser. I study these videos and see what us americans can do to help us. I’m also very entertained by these lol.
Sameee
Hey I just wanted to say thank you for taking such good care of your animals and keeping such a good eye on them especially since cats like to hide during storms. 😊
What I love about this is, they are teaching their children tornado safety. Beautiful home and I'd hate for it to take any damage, period.
“And I’ll fight off the witches and monkeys”
“That’s what happens right”

He looks like such a fun dad too
You are brave not having a storm shelter. I wish you and your family stays safe.
It was fun/interesting to share this with your family! I’m glad everyone is safe.
My dad and mom were born and raised in Oklahoma. All the families moved to California when both were in their teens. Mom and Dad married in 1954. Dad was 19, mom was 17. Both sides of the families, (dad's fam & mom's fam) stayed in California for years. Dad went in army then air force. In 1968 mom and dad divorced. In 1970 my dad's parents moved back to Harrah OK. In '71 dad and his new wife followed settling in OK City.
My sister, brother and me would go spend every summer with dad in Oklahoma. Those were the best times of my childhood and teen years. My favorite times were the storms. I was never afraid of them. Even the time a huge tornado blazed through Oklahoma City, and half of dad's house was taken by the tornado. We were all in the basement, and when we came up, after the radio gave the all clear, we were stunned. Half the house left in perfect condition, I mean not even one picture on the walls were disturbed! The other half, was gone, just gone. It looked like a giant saw cut through the house and that side was just taken away. Except for a couple broken pieces furniture tossed into the backyard, nothing from that side of the house was left.
Then we hear the sirens again. The tornado had doubled back and was heading straight back to our area. It made another u-turn and headed north east towards Tulsa. It died just before it reached Tulsa.
I loved those summer storms, but never wanted anybody's house or any people harmed.
In 1979 I moved to Oklahoma and loved it. I adored the Spring when all the storms would come. I eventually moved back to California got married and had a child.
To this day dad still calls me to tell me about the weather and harsh storms. Since I live in Las Vegas and not one thing ever happens here weather wise at all, he helps me live the storms vicariously through him 😁. Dad's 88 now and I worry about him durning tornados. They live too close to Moore OK, as we all know Moore seemed to become a favored path for tornados ☹️.
They are exciting, the storms, but it's surreal when you come from your shelter to see half the home completely missing. I don't want to ever experience losing someone due to a tornado. But I will always love the storms.
Those 1000 dislikes are the Oklahoma trees.

Scary and kids are precious How smart for the baby to try to get back in bed. So cute. If I lived there I would buy a shelter instead of my next vehicle. A hurricane takes thousands of houses completely away. Stay safe. I would also bury empty jugs of water. Or stock a shelter with things needed in a couple of days emergency. Water, cans of food, blankets, batterries, flashlights, etc. Dad's love for family is obvious. Sweet!!!
This whole time I’m watching this on edge tryna listen for tornado sirens even though I don’t live anywhere near where tornadoes form
I live in South Dakota and everyone up here has basements to keep pipes from freezing during our extremely cold winters, but they also double as tornado shelters for us. I can't believe so many people can choose to live down farther south, especially in Oklahoma, the strong tornado capital of the world without some type of tornado shelter! Our town got hit by a tornado and everybody survived and there was only a couple minor injuries even though half the town was wiped out because every house has a basement. I was so scared when I saw you guys hiding in a closet, I hope since you've gotten an improved shelter haha
i loved the part where his camera is out of focus, and he is like "come on blurry child" i died. literally.
I’ve been absolutely scared of tornadoes since I knew what they where. I’m absolutely fascinated! It’s awesome how it forms and everything happens!
I love how you keep the kids calm and they dont get scared from a tornado warning. I live in Minnesota and we barely get tornadoes here and my daughter experience her first tornado warning and she cried alot even tho she was 3 months old
Sending y’all all of our prayers 🙏🏼
Omg you’re so brave!! You handled it so well with the kids!
Excellent video - stunning Drone shoots as well. Glad you and your family were safe and well
I grew up in central Arkansas and my grandmother lives in Edmond, OK, where I was during a few tornadoes such as Moore. Now I live in Minnesota and honestly I will miss major storms like these, yet they are becoming more prevalent up this way.
i love it how he was so calm with his daughter great footage
No one will ever see this. But I really appreciate the calm manner these parents teach their kids. I guess it's part of growing up in this region, just learning to live with severe weather. Pro parenting.

i love that i watch this video and then 20 mins later, we get dumping rain and thunder... which is weird because thunder is very rare in portland, oregon. we get thunderstorms maybe like twice a year. I LOVE WEATHER.
You seem like such a wonderful family.Stay safe,, God bless you all including your pets.I loved the video.

Love the house, family awesome and I agree it's exciting at a distance , in the woods your right ...
Gotta love our Oklahoma weather. If you don’t like it, just wait a minute and it will change. I could sure do without all the humidity.
I LOVE TORNADO AND HURRICANE WEATHER TOO. i AM ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING IN THE HURRICANES. LOL
This is my favorite video when i was young😊 i still remember this vid to this day🎉
Glad it passed and everything was fine, here in Belém Pará Brazil it is only hot and sometimes it rains. congratulations to you and your family beautiful children.
You guys are so stinkin' cute! Beautiful family! God bless you all,
Wow, I love watching rain and listening to it, as long as there isn't something dangerous with it.
Glad yall are safe
I’m glad your ok and your cats are so cute I love the part where the cat was sitting by you and you picking up the other cat on his or hers pillow
I've seen videos of tornadoes
But seeing a tornado up close or seeing it form must be majestic
This is a great video. . . .like the name of your channel. . . .l also agree, w/you when you said Tornado's are cool. I live in S.D. & yeah, we have some Tornado Warnings now, & then. I hope you guys remain safe. . . .through the rest of the year. Take Care. Thanks so much for sharing w/us Live Your Life.

It's funny, because here in Northwest Arkansas, we probably had what you had that day. Amazing.
She's so precious 💕
In watching this because there potential sever weather tommorrow including possible tornadoes and I have school when it'll go on :') these videos conforto me because of how yall are so chill about it
When those storms are there that’s me when i might drop my phone down a cliff
When I lived in Dallas I remember how hard it was to sleep in the spring. I hope you invested in a tornado shelter
I love the entire video. My favorite part is him talking to the cat 😂😂
After 12 years in Kansas in the 80&90s. And in one at the age of five. I will watch these videos and movies in winter but not in the summer.
Beautiful family. Glad you guys are safe. Totally should invest in a good storm shelter though.
I feel this guy. to see a tornado live is definitely on my bucket list but not near my house 😂 I love these family storm videos
Hey another fan of wild weather!! I'm the same man... we dont get the same weather that you guys do here in New Zealand but it was pretty darn close last week with the most intense thunder and lightning and rain we've had in months. Love the video. Your cats are beautiful! Love how he didnt want to move from his pillow so you just picked up the pillow and him in it! Genius! I was so waiting for that!
They seem really calm for a extremely dangerous tornado. I live in Michigan and I’m usually freaking out over a couple thunderstorms
*edit* hold mother of satins left ears sister where did y’all come from
I live in Wisconsin and feel the same way!!!😱😱😱
There probably used to it
Lundyn Thomason you get used to it or are really fascinated by this so it doesn’t bother you
I was in a tornado in Missouri I think I'm kind and I was scared 😨😰😰😰😰😰😰
I CAN RELATE OOF. I'm in Tennessee and I freak out over every single thunderstorm oof
Greetings from Dixie Alley! Those Easter tornadoes were horrible, it hit about 10 mins from me. Northwest Ga and Alabama get hit hard EVERY spring. ❤️
WOW 😳 that was intense 😱 that would scare me soooooo much 😫 I live in California and what we deal with is Earthquakes 😱 and that’s scary enough for me . This was the 1st time watching your channel I’m going to check out more of your videos 👍🏼. You have a gorgeous house 🏡. Good luck and I hope you and your family stays safe ❤️.
i'm glad you and the kids were safe.i think you got very lucky with that one.
I feel you man I live in Oklahoma to they’re absolutely insane!
What a fantastic vlog, came across it whilst watching tornado videos. You guys are so watchable and I’m very jealous! We get rain in England. That’s about it! Nothing extreme. I’ve always been fascinated with extreme weather, I’d love to see a tornado, not up close but from a few miles away!
I have watched these 20 times and it never gets old :3
We've been getting this same kind of weather this summer in Michigan: hot and humid, then a cold front moves in and we get blasted with monsoon rains-sometimes 3 inches in an hour. But after they leave the humidity rises, only to re-start the process the next day.
I love your cat so cute ♥️ The poor children were so scared they are too sweet to be scared I wish I could be there to protect them 😕I’m just glad your ok!!
I’m also kind of excited when the national Weather Service reports an extreme-like storm. But I also get other emotions along with it like: fear sadness and my most horrible feeling the butterflies in my stomach 🌪 🦋🦋🦋
Glad it was ok, smart to watch channel 6. I live in Stillwater and we watch channel 9 from OKC. Stay safe.
We had a tornado warning, hail, HARD HARD RAIN! Yet living in Minnesota and thanking that we have a new dog we got cause she knows if someone is having a panic attack or crying bc something happened, she paws at you! It’s awesome. I H.A.T.E TORANDOS
i am terrified of tornadoes but i love watching these videos. they make me extremely paranoid any time there is a storm even though its highly unlikely for me to get hit by one where I live. But its interesting seeing how people in tornado alley react to them.
As someone who lives where tornadoes are very rare (if we have some near us they are usually F0/F1) watching videos like this are so interesting because this doesn't happen where I live
that is so cool glad you r safe
you stayed so calm
I grew up in the Dallas and Austin areas and I have been through 8 tornadoes. It’s crazy.
I love your family and pets
I thought it was really cute normally animals gets anxious and try and hide when storms are around but yours just keep on sleeping lol xx
I like how the dude is just chill about it
I am an amateur storm chaser, so I really love when I get a storm warning. I’m from South Carolina originally but I lost my home to a house fire, literally one day before a tornado hit. It was not a massive one, but it was kind of ironic, anyways I am a new subscriber and you guys have a beautiful house. Also I survived el Reno May 2013 (passing thru visiting my aunt coincidentally on one of the saddest days in storm history) I was just 15 at the time. So I know Oklahoma weather is no joke so I know every time you heard the sirens I know why you took shelter. It is the same reason that Southerners would. Given I am a southerner. And I love stormy weather for some reason. I also love rock music. Wanna be a rocker
Very good reporting.
