Mongolian Ger (Yurt) Set Up

This is a time lapse video of a traditional handmade Mongolian ger being set up by SunTime Yurts. This is a 19ft (5wall) ger and will act as the display model for SunTime Yurts in Leavenworth, WA.

nice yurt! what is the barricade wrap? Does this help with the vapor barrier/rot problem the wool insulation has? How is it holding up?

I'd imagine that it's for waterproofing, which I think is not a traditional feature in yurts, since it doesn't really rain much in Mongolia.

+Antoni Favata I do think it's a breathable membrane such as Tyvek for example. Plastic would trap the moisture inside.
