@@djrocksgaming6255 Wrong that was a silly retcon. From RE7 filrs it is clear Ethan was infected but only in first stage through most of game and on 2nd stage after he is released by Mia. But that is very different from dying and become fully Mold from very beginning. Crapcom really screwed up with Ethan's continuity. But this is ultimately fine so long as Ethan never comes back.
Reminds me of how Ethan got his hand cut off again in Resident Evil 8 and when he put it back on, the sleeve of the jacket that was also cut off along with the hand also got magically stitched back onto the jacket. Developers probably got lazy and didn't want to remove that sleeve.
heyyy i live in louisiana too, my cellphone works almost all the time. cept in that little stretch between covington and hammond....and also anywhere south of lafourche parish....but also out alexandria way, i lose service, ...occasionally a bad spot or two on 49.. what do i know, im just a crocodile
2 years later, the end of the game proves that Ethan works for the BSAA / Neo Umbrella so why would he call the FBI when he has his own band of happy little Boulder punchers
Jack: "Boy, what are you doing?" Lucas: "Converting all this digital footage from button cameras to VHS because VHS is inherently creepy these days. Also, I need to go into town and buy a mess of VCRs."
@@Mazakai_ He was fucked up all along, you can read his diary in the game. And when he hooked up with bioterrorist organization, it just gave him excuse to be completely crazy asshole. I really wish they would extrapolate abit more on his story, he is actually interesting antagonist. But they kinda failed with that - even with "Not a hero" DLC, they didn't provide much of a backstory, and the finale was kinda forced (no explanation how he suddenly transformed into big fuking mutant, I mean he was to escape with documents etc, to sell them and kinda start new life, and then he suddenly is cornered by Redfield and transforms. He also took serum before, so, no explanations here.).
Aya Papaya good chance they're synced with the Japanese dialogue. probably not perfect still but usually they're synced for japanese and just dubbed over, never fixing the mouth animations.
With the past 3 numbered games in the series, that wasn't the case, though. English was synced with English. I'm fairly sure they were *only* synced with English, actually, but don't quote me on that.
ootdega maybe you're right. i just know that a lot of Japanese media, like shows and games are usually synched for the Japanese dialogue, but you could be right. i havent looked into how RE is synched.
I don’t know if this was on purpose but the pause screen says ; Retry, Options, Stats and End. Each one of letters spells out Rose. Ethan and Mia’s child.
"Whenever a game wants to do southern horror, it inevitably picks one of two states: Louisiana or West Virginia" Then, you find Mia's ID and it says she's from Texas. Texas is never safe from being involved in horror plots xD
MonsterNexus at the end where you get the e necrotoxin there is this not that said that his head was back to normal and she thinks she still has me and she is as stupid as a little kid and after that he escapes from the salt mine but before that he set some traps for Ethan
Should be visible during normal play. This is just another example of a game being made for VR first and the being "rendered down" to regular play later. I honestly don't give two shits about VR and think game developers should just worry about making their games work well before they ever put VR into it.
"Why do they have emblem keys and shadow locks?" There is a file that says the house was built by Trevor.....the same guy who built the Spencer Mansion. It may be weird, but it is at least an explanation. The guy is just an eccentric architect., but people in universe must have really liked his work at the time.
The Little Bosnia Experience They tried with that, yea. But Spencer was the one that wanted all the weird traps and shit. It wasn’t the architect’s idea.
I'd probably hire that guy too. I would insist that he installs a normal lock on the toilet, though. "Hey, can I check out your room?" - "Sure you can. Just pick up the photo in the attic and you'll get the diamond heart key. Use that to get into my washing room. Open up the back of the washing machine and you'll get the first half of the scorpion emblem. I forgot where I put the spider sculpture, but if you find it, bring it to the painting in my garage, activate the spotlight, then turn the spider sculpture around so its shadow lines up with the white spider outline in the painting. This will reveal the second half of the scorpion emblem. Put it into the floor under the kitty litter to reveal the heptagram toothpick. Solve the heptagram puzzle on it to transform it into a key. All you need now is the rook and bishop chesspieces and you can open my door."
Since Trevor died shortly after building the Spencer mansion, he MUST have built the Baker Estate before the Spencer mansion. It would seem real weird having 2 clients that want all this elaborate contraptions, traps, secret rooms, secret LABORATORY COMPLEXES complete with morgues & crematoriums! I mean SERIOUSLY!
Mm about what you said when Ethan sees Jack and Zoe in the living room. Its not “supernatural “ its the hive mind. Zoe was still alive and jack is revealed later to still be alive as well. Thats why you dont see his wife. She really is dead. And Lucas was separated from the hive mind. So it all makes sense.
KlazeR John That scene is apparently a flashback... not the hive mind. This is something Ethan remembers very late on in the game (possibly because of Eveline‘s infection stopping him from doing so.)
Cody Rivenburg umm a flashback is Ethan remembering something that happened(obviously) but we play as Ethan this ENTIRE time, from him getting to the baker resident and him leaving. And we never seen this scene between jack and Ethan. So no, it wouldn’t be a flashback. But since Eveline was able to make Ethan remember what happened between him and Mia in the house, it’s possible he could’ve been infected after the boat scene, and this was something Eveline made him vision.
@@rxiinfvll yes it actually is a flashback. There was a scene where zoe put the smart watch at ethans wrist and that scene is exactly after this. Idk why he just then remembers but he does
@Leonard M don't even bother about Dartigan's videos, sometimes he just nitpicks and pulls shit outta his ass that are no real sins, not to mention when he doesn't do any research about it. I just dislike most of his videos because of this
Ethan is hinted to be infected by the mold. Zoe is to. And with the way the hive mind works, Zoe is able to "sense" where Ethan is at all items, which is how she knows he's safe and near a phone. Ethan being infected also explains how the healing liquid works. He's not using it to heal, he's using it to stimulate the fungal infection, which causes the healing factor to kick in. It's the same healing factor that the other family members have, just not as "advanced" This link through the hive mind is also how Ethan knows how to craft bullets and stuff. He's not military trained, but Mia presumably is. So her skill could've been transferred through to Ethan through the hive mind. And as far as how the VHS tapes work... I don't know. Call it magic or something.
"craft bullets" from, scrap metal...? a process that takes hours, and precise materials for anything more complex than a musket-type weapon. I mean, operating _some_ firearms, sure. But crafting ammo is just vidyagame bullshit my boy.
Not to mention the fact that Chris Redfield gets out of the copter in the end, plus the fact Umbrella is still seen as a favorable institution keys you in that this is a prequel to the entire series. From there a lot of these 'sins' are explained... but what would i know, I've never played Resident Evil, ha!
I felt like all of the dlc for RE7 was great. I've probably put anywhere from 50 to 80 hours in Ethan Must Die alone(trying to lower my time as much as I can) it's so addicting.
"After twenty years the title Resident Evil actually makes sense, because this game has some actual evil residents as villians." *Sin* why'd this guy sin this? Lol. If anything that should be -1 to the sin tally
To everyone who's saying this is a prequel, not only does the game take place in 2017, when every other RE game was before then, but, Umbrella was secret before Racoon City happened.
In Mia's ship segment, there's a newspaper article that mentions the incident in Raccoon City 16 (iirc) years ago. RE1 happened in 1998. The newspaper article was dated 2014 I think.
Yup, Village explains off a few sins in this one, even if they are a bit of a stretch. But what isn't in this series? That's why people love it so much!
Yes, the ending credits actually name him as Chris Redfield and not just Redfield. And apparently, press reports given to people with review copies did the same as well. So unless Capcom pull a bait and switch, yes, that is confirmed Chris Redfield. Why he works for Neo-Umbrella however, is completely unknown since Umbrella were supposed to have been completely wiped out by the time RE4 starts thanks to Wesker selling them out via inside info that he leaked to the proper authorities. Completely exposing them as a bioterrorist company. So yes, that is Chris. But why he works for Umbrella or even why Umbrella even exists now is anyone's guess.
Thanatos420 that's definitely not Chris. He'd never EVER work for Umbrella. That's HUNK. There's no doubt about it. That get up etc. I think Capcom is pulling a Hideo Kojima on us. They put the name in the credits to throw us off. Hopefully we'll find out in the DLC
+Incessant Wake This doesn't appear to be the same Umbrella and, with the new blue logo, probably is an extension of that UN declaration or whatever it was in RE5 that forced Umbrella (red logo) to create an organization to clean up their mess, but with a less tactical name than what Chris was in. As for Redfield, it's kind of late in the game for him to be a twist and they didn't mention him earlier for Ethan to know who he is for a false name to matter. Still, with some of the underdeveloped elements they added towards the end like the whole Zoe decision that doesn't change much, I guess it's possible that they may intend to do more with Chris and just didn't set it up well.
Actually for Ethan to talk to Mr. Baker while he's linked up to the mold makes a lot of sense. Sure mister Baker's dead, but this is not a supernatural scene. You see when Ethan repeatedly kills Mr. Baker he does a lot of damage to Jack's brain, which we see regenerate just fine. Jack Baker's memories however should not be there considering a memory is a repeating neurological signal and that a partial or full decapitation would halt/erase. Therefor those repeating signals need to be copied and kept somewhere else in Eveline's vast mold colony. So what we see as a ghost of Jack Baker is just the stored memories/personality of Jack that get copied, re-corrupted, and put back into a regenerated Jack brain. Seems like a hellish existence to me.
FrenchDipp pretty much. Their consciousness seems to be trapped in a hive mind sort of thing. Not sure why Margarite wasn't there. Maybe she's not dead after all. But when Jack says free my family, I'm pretty sure he means free us from THIS.
It's a theory if you want it to be a theory! I KNEW that to be a fact! What he is telling about WHAT is a memory (which we DO NOT know at this point) is true because we did this exact experience on flat worms! Those particular creatures have a kind of relatively rapid regeneration of their cells. Their head regrows if it is severed (sometimes, TWO heads grow back!!!). Actually, this is just an efficient method of cell regeneration, nothing new, BUT... It appears that they do get some, if not all their memory back too! Which we know because we learned particular things to individual worms.
i heard about a study on lab rats where they would take these rats or mice, w/e you want to call them, and put them into a cage where they would introduce a certain smell. want to say it was a citrus smell. anyways they did that before they would shock them with a rigged floor. did this to them multiple times with the same smell and same shock. than they breed the mice, and take the babies and do the same experiment but without the shock, only the smell. and the new generation went crazy, acted very stressed out when the smell was released. something about memory cells theoretically being passed down through parents. basically natural instinct.
But Yet strayed away from the very source material it was derived from... Night Of The Living Dead. So Much so for Resident Evil 2, George A Romero Directed the Ad's/Commercials for it. Resident Evil 7 isn't a "Resident Evil" Game, Just a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Clone for a new audience and leaving most of the source material behind!
About Mia going apeshit on Ethan: Eveline's violent nature influences people, it doesn't directly control them. Although they can't resist the change to their persona, they still retain a semblance of free will. Hence why Mia was going murderous but still shouting stuff like "leave me" and "must contain the outbreak". It's all explained in Ethan's conversation with Jack's conscience: Ethan: "So she infects you than takes control?" Jack: "No, not exactly, son. She just...forces her way into your mind, your soul. You can't fight back. You are connected to her and you can't resist the urge to...oh, you're a different person after that."
I have this theory that there was previously friction in Ethan and Mia's marriage, probably due to Mia lying to Ethan about her employment. Maybe Ethan though she was cheating on him, her line about him always watching her implys that he may have been following her around,
Still a little shaky in terms of logic. If your mind and soul are in someone else's control, unless you have a period of lucidity, you aren't hacking at them then saying "leave me". If Mia had said this before attacking Ethan, it would've made more sense. It would've illustrated a battle of consciousness ultimately lost by the controlling force, like the Dark Phoenix before Wolverine killed her. (Hugh Jackman version)
I think the reason Ethan doesn’t call the cops is because I think he just wanted to find Mia and go home and not deal with any interrogation or other stuff by the police or possibly umbrella themselves before Ethan saw the Bakers, Evelyn, and the molded I also believe the reason why Ethan doesn’t wear a wedding ring is so he is not reminded of Mia as much.
he can't call the cops there is no phone line to the outside. he literally picks up a phone and there is no dial tone. also his cell phone probably doesnt work cause it's the middle of nowhere in a random swamp with no signal.
@Hamburger maybe he tried within 3 years but since the case was too long, the cops ended up closing the case and he had no choice but to find her alone
@@nizz0matic307 could have at least tried to unplug phone from jack to retest it, or put a little elbow grease into the problem as he was a systems engineer lol
"You know something but remain silent." That's what Chris Redfield said in RE Village teaser trailer. I think Ethan knows that Mia is actually work for illegal bioweapons corp that's why he didn't call the cops in RE 7, they would've obviously arrested if he did that.
I started to play this game wanting to not like it, seemed to me like a copy of Outlast, but I ended loving it. My biggest issue with it is exactly the same: The enemies seem all the same amorphous black goo. The previous games had much more variety. Still, awesome game.
Even though i know that this is all in good fun, the reason the house has puzzles is actually explained. there is a piece of paper in the attic that says that the house was built by the same company that built the Spencer Mansion: Chamberlain Construction.
Kyle Trathen I guess it’s just their way of providing good security, it’s the same concept as any other lock tbh it’s just that it seems abnormal to us
Kyle Trathen they kept them on the door, in a letter from Jack to Lucas, he tells him to hide the dog heads so the people would stop escaping out the front door.
What bugged me the most about the story elements was the 'bad' ending. When you save Zoe with the serum, she's gets re-infected by Eve in the raft without touching the mold. Not to mention Ethan touches mold everywhere a LOT, but doesn't go nuts like Mia. One word: DELIVERENCE.
Zoe had been infected for the entire duration of the game. Touching the mold isn't what gets you infected, anyway. Plus, Mia had gone crazy because she was already infected for years before Ethan even showed up. It takes multiple days of infection to get to the stages that Mia was showing. The game takes place in only a day. You would know this if you paid more attention :)
voruhhh but there is a plot hole there, because in the Daughters DLC the family gets infected with evie’s “gift” and then seems to have gone crazy almost instantly..
Ethan IS infected its just he just got infected so he is only getting the starter symptomes like halucinations but probably in re8 ethan will be probably like jack
To be honest, a lot of the stuff you sinned was explained "lore-wise" in the files you find, so... I guess you get an equivalent amount of sins for that :)
The thing I find about female southern accents is they're like 50% sexier when spoken softly or whispered, but -100% unsexy if spoken anything beyond normal volume.
They actually do bring up why Zoe couldn't call the cops. There's a note you can get in the game that can be easily missed that details how people have been going missing at the Baker residence for years, including cops, and that they've been under investigation by the local police department. This doesn't make it any better, but they do give an explanation.
Am I the only one who felt bad for Clancy (the cameraman) the most in this entire game? He goes through so much shit from Lucas. Even being tortured to play a fucking card game to the death or being burned to death (in-game). R.I.P Clancy.
@@leonpaelinckhis whole body is mold ethan dies after jack says welcome to the family as that boot stomp didn't just knock you out it crushed your head
With a lot of these you don't even think about the story. Mia is in good shape because the Baker family kept her alive and well by feeding and hydrating her. As she says about 30 seconds after, "the family brought me food through here"
To explain why Ethan is able to communicate with Jack, it's explained in a file found in the salt mines that anyone Eveline infects with her mold share a consciousness like a hive mind. So despite the fact that Jack is dead, his consciousness, and the consciousness of Marguerite & Zoe, are still kept with Eveline, which explains why Ethan can talk to them when he was encased in the mold.
Perhaps she's not dead... she didn't have a final form like Jack did. And Zoe seems like the kinda gal that would shoot herself in the brain as soon as that raft left the doc. And because she was still fairly normal she stayed dead. So maybe Marguerite will be back and we know Lucas survived.
BasedWinduXII marge was permanently dead when you killed her in that ugly snatch spider mode, she crumbles. thats why salamander boss mode jack was heavily wailing and calling marge name, she was no longer in the hive mind.
It's a scripted event. At the beginning where you need to unlock and go into the hatch, if Jack is too close and you're facing away from him he'll spin you around, beat you down with a shovel, and then use it to hack off your leg. Your screen starts going black/white and you have roughly 30 seconds to crawl towards a bottle of strong medicine he taunts you with and re-attach your leg with it. Take too long and you die. As added bonus, the game will remember and that one pant leg won't be as long as the other for the rest of the game.
The claw-handed molded can also chop off your leg if they use a rare attack. Jack can also do it during the chainsaw fight if he hits you with his swing at the right moment.
*RESIDENT* noun: a person who lives *SOMEWHERE* permanently or on a long-term basis. The city's and country's visited in RE in the past had evil *RESIDENTS*.
i don't accept horror, comedy or satire the title of the video is "Every thing wrong with" throwing random things in is just misleading. that is why i dislike "sin" videos you'd expect it to be flaws with something but sometimes it's just random nonsense.
The title "Resident Evil" doesn't mean there are evil residents. If it did, the games would be called "Evil Residents". What it actually means is that there's an evil presence residing in a particular area... i.e. 'an evil which has residence here'.
"that is why I dislike "sin" videos" - mmediately decides to watch and post pissy remarks about a Sin video. Pro tip - if something pisses you off that much, don't watch it. It's still a free country (for a little while longer).
Is anyone going to point out how Chris Redfield apparently aged backwards? I would've been cool with that character being Chris Redfield, were this a totally new take on the franchise...with a new take on the characters. But nope, this game is apparently cannon to the rest...considering it's supposed to take place six or so years after Resident Evil 6. If that's the case, Chris Redfield should be in his late forties by then, not fast roping from choppers.
9:00 Zoe knows all about the serum because when they found Eveline and Mia Mia wrote a letter that explained everything and talked about the serum. It's on the Daughters DLC 9:35 for the exact same reason, when Mia wrote the letter she passed out and Zoe found Mia with the ingredient on her hand and the letter 15:10 in the End of Zoe DLC, Jack was revealed to live as a Swamp Monster 17:45 it's not the original Umbrella Corporation, it's the new Umbrella Corps, a company that tries to help fight back biological weapons and tries to clean the name of the original Umbrella
@Hamburger because some of the higher-ups from red Umbrella (who weren't apart of Arklay or the events of RC, I believe) wanted to fix things and restore their image, not bury it under the rug. So they formed blue Umbrella. There would be no misunderstanding, because red Umbrella was sued to hell and back by many different governments and dissolved as a company.
@@funkyfreak97 Still though, the name of the Umbrella Corporation's been dragged through the mud, and it's their own fault. It's like Nazis or al-Qaeda trying to rebrand themselves without picking a new name.
About Ethan reattaching his arm and leg it's due to him being infected with the E:001 aka Eveline giving him superhuman regeneration like the Bakers , it's written in late game files about the healing ability of the E series ......
I'll just say that plenty of these can be explained since the mold has a hive mind, so the molded, the Bakers, Mia, Eveline, and Ethan himself, being infected, are within it. The only difference between Ethan and the rest is that the level of infection determines whether you remain independant or not, and also Eveline is pretty weak by that time (Notice her REAL self).
BTW, this also explains how you can easily reattach limbs, cure yourself just by pouring medicine on your severed hand and permanently increasing your health through steroids. Since Ethan has only recently been infected, he can't quite regenereate like the others do, but the mold DOES make all the chemicals react increasingly fast and make Ethan extremely tough (To be clear, you get hit with a shovel, a hammer, a CHAINSAW, and even get repeatedly stung by giant insects). If anything, this is the ONE game that somewhat justifies the RIDICULOUS amounts of abuse that the playable character sustains.
Random Guy I get what you're saying saying, but it's a RE game. You have to died eventually aka, game over, retry from the last checkpoint. So most of that should just be looked over.
5:10 Considering Mia had been attacking Ethan like a rabid mad dog, I'm pretty sure Ethan breaking down and crying over axing Mia in the neck would be out of place. You do that if you kill them accidentally, not in sudden self defense.
Bonus Sin: Curing Zoe legitimately changes almost nothing significantly, and she dies only moments after getting on the boat with you on the way to the ship. This leads to Mia somehow having the magical ability to become a bonus boss fight on the ship (wielding a knife - understandably pissed off you chose Zoe over her) despite the fact you left her behind. Not entirely sure why this 2nd ending is even in the game as curing Zoe doesn't really change anything, and even causes certain things to make no sense once you get on the ship since you didn't bring Mia with you.
I think the biggest sin about this game is that Ethan has been infected the whole time, but yet other than the healing of his leg and arm is the most human out of everyone. Then again, I guess everyone else had it in their systems longer
why mia's hair didn't grow after 3 years? how can she take a pee or poop? why face of redfield more younger than RE 6? and they face sooo different. WTH but over all i love this game.

NuclearPeanuts You've seen right through me! I appreciate that though, I'm trying to find some time to get right back into it. Been busy these days. Thanks again though, you've made my day :)
So not to defend the silly parts of the game, because it really is silly and stupid, but still loved it overall, but for those wondering how a few parts of the game are what they are. The Old guest house from the start and end of the game, is likely where the real body for Eveline was from the very start, this is implied with the bed found in an earlier room, and by the fact that Mia was her favorite and she was said to be near her at all times or visiting her. This explains her ability to warp around the game, but naturally it does create a few issues in regards to why said room is now different and has a bed in it though, it is possible that Eveline had herself placed there after the opening of the game in order to stay at a safe distance while she observed her new family candidate. It would explain why she seems to warp around at least. How can the Bakers know exactly where Ethan is all the time ? Well, this is actually easier to explain, after the opening of the game Ethan is infected, this also explains the healing ability he has suddenly gained in regards to his hand that was stapled on (( likely to misdirect the player from the idea, lore wise his infection could have been in the early stage at this point and the staples where just there to help out )), and his leg attatching so easily, another interesting note is that the healing item does not remove the scars on your hand during the intro stage after you are injured, but they are gone when you start chapter 1. This also explains why he keeps seeing Eveline vanish and appear in locations she should not be able to go with a wheelchair, he is infected and she is just putting herself there. Everyone who is infected by the mold is to an extent mentally linked, this explains why Jack can talk to Ethan during the ending parts of the game, he and his family are linked inside the fungus, even with the serum used on his body earlier to "kill" him, it likely did not do so permanently as the serum does not seem to be a permanent fix all, but it does seem to grant a larger ability to combat the infection as long as Eveline does not focus directly on them. We can come to this conclusion due to the files we can read in the lab in the game. Ethan likely cannot sense the others due to how early he is in the infection state, the game happens from sundown to morning it seems. So how can you even hide from them when they are hunting you ? Well, either they are literally just fucking with us, which is quite possible considering Jack, or there is a limit to it, either way, silly. The reason why everyone is insane, is pretty much because of Eveline and the mental link via the fungus, in the same files we read that she would age 25 times faster without the drugs they used on her, likely a form of self destruct they created in case she got away, Eveline herself has basically gone insane, and since she is linked with the others who have reached a certain stage of infection they have also gone insane. As for Lucas, yep, psychopath since he was a kid, he is not under Evelines control but clearly still has the fungus infecting his body, so Eveline likely does not realize since she can likely sense the fungus itself (( speculation but it kinda makes sense )). She is a child, likely only been alive for a few years, she was aged to look 9-10, her base was human but they clearly developed her with a certain intelligence in order to make her a more effective weapon. It does explain why Lucas thinks she is stupid, she simply does not have the life experience to really let her spot when people are completely lying to her, though at the same time she is linked with people she has infected mentally, so kinda stupid XD So why on earth is Mia who has been infected the longest not in the same state as the majority of the Baker family ? Well, Mia is her favorite, it is possible that Eveline simply kept the infection from progressing in the hopes she would just come around and be her mother, she also wanted Ethan to replace Jack as her father, so she likely held back quite a bit there as well, then just let the fungus develop as fast as possible towards the endgame because she had had enough of him. As for why she tried to get Mia to just kill him at the start ? Well, gonna have to blame that on insanity, Eveline is not stable anymore due to the lack of injections over the 3 year period, it is a bit of a cop out reasoning, but yeah, mentally insane. The lab in the mines, that lab belongs to Lucas, at least if we take in mind the files within it, he likely built it with help from Tentsu, the company that created Eveline and the other child corpses you can find during the game, some of them possibly came from the ship wreck, yes they where transporting Eveline on it, but it is likely they also transported quite a few of the other bodies as well, at least we can find one container during the ship vhs that seems to indicate it. As for why Tentsu is not retaking Eveline, well I think it is pretty simple overall, for data collecting reasons, the area is overall secluded so they can watch the result of their BOW with less disturbance, and they get to see how long their BOW can manage without the injections before dying due to the rapid aging, for them it is likely a win win situation from a situation that likely caused them to panic a bit, they also learned their BOW was capable of breaking their handlers orders and rebell. Why does the lab have the required items needed to craft the E-Necrotoxin ? Likely for Lucas to use if they needed him to terminate Eveline for various reasons, more a safety net just incase if anything else. Lucas was simply their willing observer, the bastard was a psycho from childhood, and it is implied he is pretty damn intelligent as well, which is not a good combination. The DLC that will be about the "Redfield" we see at the end of the game is going to be free content for the game for those getting a bit eye twitchy over it, even without DLC though, the base game is still quite solid. Welp, wall of text at this point...... OH WELL ! " gets shot " But yeah, the game is REALLLLLY stupid overall, but god damn if it is not entertaining for those reasons and the overall mood and feel of the game, it fully deserves the sins, but this is a heavy sinning game that deserves to be played. The silly and stupid parts of the game are pretty much what the series has always been, but they are still silly and stupid things XD Edit: Just for funsies, you can get fungal infections on the brain in real life, and like many situations that can have a effect on the brain, hallucinations are very possible, one of the worst you can get is "Mucormycosis", the mortality rate is extremely high even if caught early. It is quite rare though, but still.
Thanks, its a fun game to think about when it comes to the games lore, which was part of what made the previous games before it just as fun until 4 kinda went another route with it, ton of things to think about, but also quite a bit of information to find via missable scenes or stuff hiding in plain sight. Like the E-001 picture at the start of the entire game :D
Eunice Dominguez Chacon oh yea. Well, Technically Neo-Umbrella wants him dead, and I think that was the Umbrella Corps in the ending that "Chris" was with.
16:18 bullshit. There's a drawing in the cabin where you listen the radio, showing that you can reach the lab through the mine. 17:50 that's a sunrise, not a sunset. It was night just before that scene.
Yeah, I just got to that part of the video. Even the obsession with having a family is too similar. And the little girl's actual body is old and the 'little girl' is just a hallucination.
Well to be fair, considering only very small amount of people knew this. The whole healing with chemicals comes from one of the Resident Evil side games, Resident Evil Outbreak Files from the PS2. It's literally chemical regeneration and something that was very prominent in that game. And really, probably the only healing item that makes sense even in a real life scenario considering it's using the body's own cellular regeneration to heal. The only problem is the chem should do that on its own which should negates the need for the herb since no herb actually exists in real life. Sure I know its a video game but still, if everything in the game is made through science anyway, why not have that actual healing item make sense too?

Dude, I love your channel and fancy myself a gamesin acolyte (;P), so I thought I'd share my biggest observed sin. Sure, I can agree with that. It must have been difficult for the developers in deciding on letting people go to hard mode right off the bat, or having to unlock it after playing once. If I had a choice, I would have just did Madhouse right from the get go, but then there's really no replay-ability.
b1uezer I'll would liked to have option to start off hard to just to upset myself but your also right About little replay value let hope the next Re finds a way to keep it fresh for replay
There should have been a file where Lucas converted all the digital footage to VHS tapes for dramatic effect. The mia flashback could only have been recorded with a go pro.

How do people in games and movies always fall unconscious while falling in the ocean, and then wake back up after getting washed up somewhere? Sometimes, they wake up the next day. How in the world do they not drown?
That was on purpose, though. You wouldn't feel as immersed in the character if you knew everything about him or if he had more dialogue. The little reactions we hear from him are how the devs felt like we would feel in that part of the game. His line after "killing" Jack for the first time was "Now do me a favor, and stay dead." Now I don't know about you, but that's exactly how I felt after the fight. It was all planned for you to be able to mimic your playstyle onto Ethan while having his little one-liners mimic how you felt while playing.
I kind of take issue with the fact that we're counting Ethan's reattaching limbs as a flaw in the story. It's a plot point if anything, that Ethan can now heal himself like the Baker family can.
"I'm starting to think Ethan is the least human person in this game." If only we'd known how correct that would be.

But this is ultimately fine so long as Ethan never comes back.
You wonder why jack survives this, the real sin is how do jack's glasses survive all of that
That's actually a really good point!
Reminds me of how Ethan got his hand cut off again in Resident Evil 8 and when he put it back on, the sleeve of the jacket that was also cut off along with the hand also got magically stitched back onto the jacket. Developers probably got lazy and didn't want to remove that sleeve.

Cody Rivenburg what?
It's the same healing factor that the other family members have, just not as "advanced"
This link through the hive mind is also how Ethan knows how to craft bullets and stuff. He's not military trained, but Mia presumably is. So her skill could've been transferred through to Ethan through the hive mind.
And as far as how the VHS tapes work... I don't know. Call it magic or something.
"craft bullets"
from, scrap metal...?
a process that takes hours, and precise materials for anything more complex than a musket-type weapon.
I mean, operating _some_ firearms, sure. But crafting ammo is just vidyagame bullshit my boy.
Fair enough. But would you really want it to take several real-time hours to craft more ammo? "Realistic" doesn't mean "fun", you know.
A hive mind infection might also explain Jack talking to Ethan like a normal person in a hallucination near the end.
It doesn't sound bad but it sounds made up, there are no hints in the game to prove it.
Not to mention the fact that Chris Redfield gets out of the copter in the end, plus the fact Umbrella is still seen as a favorable institution keys you in that this is a prequel to the entire series. Jack is infected too, so he cant die lol
Yup, Village explains off a few sins in this one, even if they are a bit of a stretch. But what isn't in this series? That's why people love it so much!
Redfield hasn't got Boulder puncher mode activated hence why he works for umbrella.
Was his full name given? Because there's a million of crazy theories (from relatives, through surgery, to cloning) you can bring up in here.
I suspect it is either HUNK a clone or a relative we've never been told about there is no way that is Chris considering mass and his face.
I like this theory. :)
You put way too much thought into this, but I like it.

It's all explained in Ethan's conversation with Jack's conscience:
Ethan: "So she infects you than takes control?"
Jack: "No, not exactly, son.
I think she tries to kill ethan to prevent Eveline from succeeding her plan

No. Clancy's the best. After every single thing he went through I wish he'd lived. He didn't deserve a shitty fate like that.
I wish it they let him live, so he could've been the protagonist in a sequel or even appear in the Not a Hero DLC or something

#46, it isn't just the first aid liquid that reattached his leg. Ethan is infected with the mold which promotes regenerative aspects.
as it turns out he's more than just infected...
As she says about 30 seconds after, "the family brought me food through here"
and cut her hair? and makeup? and Fresh water for a bath?
Reddeth2 considering Eveline liked Mia, it would be obvious she would take care of her.
gotta wonder what the food was though. or rather, who that food was.
That explanation would have been solid if Marguerite was also there in the 'hive-mind' moment, but she wasn't.
Nazzy Ivory You're right... I forgot she crumbled into dust. Maybe in the hive mind she was off cooking dinner...
Nazzy Ivory yeah, that's why he said "free my family". Once Eve is dead they can go to oblivion.
When did Ethan lose his leg?? I’ve played the game 4 times once on madhouse and have never come across that... hmm
Thanks
The game has a few alterations depending on your actions you can also prevent him from getting in the car as well
The claw-handed molded can also chop off your leg if they use a rare attack. Jack can also do it during the chainsaw fight if he hits you with his swing at the right moment.
Its very difficult to get Ethan to lose his leg but once playing through the game for the third time it happened to me while fighting a molded

The city's and country's visited in RE in the past had evil *RESIDENTS*.

the title of the video is "Every thing wrong with" throwing random things in is just misleading.
that is why i dislike "sin" videos you'd expect it to be flaws with something but sometimes it's just random nonsense.
Maybe it's a prequel it's actually called RE biohazard, so it could be
Super Prof. Mario If you followed the story at all you'd know this all takes place after all of the other RE games.
Chris would be 42 not in his late 40’s if you followed the main characters timeline and age

@Hamburger because some of the higher-ups from red Umbrella (who weren't apart of Arklay or the events of RC, I believe) wanted to fix things and restore their image, not bury it under the rug. So they formed blue Umbrella.

About Ethan reattaching his arm and leg it's due to him being infected with the E:001 aka Eveline giving him superhuman regeneration like the Bakers , it's written in late game files about the healing ability of the E series ......

“i’m starting to think ethan is the least human character here” that quote aged like milk
You mean aged like wine?
No it was wine
At that point ethan was still human
resident evil 7: jack survives this
Also Ethan

It's the suckers' ending since they weren't thinking straight, know what I mean
Thanatos420 She doesn't die, she's taken back to the house by Eveline

Hold up, didn’t it literally say in the game that Zoe had been studying the Eveline Bioweapon so she knew a lot about it??
It does explain why Lucas thinks she is stupid, she simply does not have the life experience to really let her spot when people are completely lying to her, though at the same time she is linked with people she has infected mentally, so kinda stupid XD
So why on earth is Mia who has been infected the longest not in the same state as the majority of the Baker family ?
OH WELL ! " gets shot "
But yeah, the game is REALLLLLY stupid overall, but god damn if it is not entertaining for those reasons and the overall mood and feel of the game, it fully deserves the sins, but this is a heavy sinning game that deserves to be played.
The silly and stupid parts of the game are pretty much what the series has always been, but they are still silly and stupid things XD
Edit:
Just for funsies, you can get fungal infections on the brain in real life, and like many situations that can have a effect on the brain, hallucinations are very possible, one of the worst you can get is "Mucormycosis", the mortality rate is extremely high even if caught early. It is quite rare though, but still.
Really good that you took the time to write this to educate people that aren't good in following the story themselves.
Thanks, its a fun game to think about when it comes to the games lore, which was part of what made the previous games before it just as fun until 4 kinda went another route with it, ton of things to think about, but also quite a bit of information to find via missable scenes or stuff hiding in plain sight.

Ethan personlity was so lame and emotionless like a zombie and he doesn't even have a head.
Doesn't have a head yet we can see his body when hes decapitated
mia also loses personality once you play her. but it makes sense, they're alone most of the time we play as them
Well now we know why Ethan's limbs connects easily
The cop interrupted dinner by ringing the door bell... not calling the phone.
Those Starwipes actually made the jumpscares kinda funny
I kind of take issue with the fact that we're counting Ethan's reattaching limbs as a flaw in the story. It's a plot point if anything, that Ethan can now heal himself like the Baker family can.
