@@ArDeeMeewait. These are the same characters from CoS? It's been awhile, so I hadn't noticed or considered it. Might be worth a rewatch to reconnect gaps in memory.
@@hauntednews3790 Not the same character, but Tuff and Gouda Thyme are controlled by the same player. And she isn’t even trolling, that’s just how she is. =D I really recommend the player breakdown of CoS, it was fun, buuut it‘s two hours long, so it’s definitely not for everyone.
Thank the gods someone is looking out for the Owlbears. You can't just feed them humans all the time! Humans are a once-in-a-while snack! They need a varied diet of elves, dwarves, and sometimes drow for the vitamins. Enrichment is very important! Make sure their food is alive and fighting. Give them small enclosures to break apart and get their num-nums. Owlbear happiness depends on variety and excitement.
So listening to this whole adventure has made me come to a very important realization. When going on our own Dragon Heist we frustrated our DM to the point of "FINE JUST TAKE THE TREASURE, IT'S FINE, YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING BUT IT'S FINE, GOLD DRAGON, OH? HE'S YOUR FRIEND NOW, JUST TAKE THE MONEY!" and we didn't even notice... I owe him an apology.
This is the first tive I've heard the phrase "I kinda feel like I sent him to his death" and the response was "No duh, you totally did" instead of the usual "Aww no it wasn't your fault!" Anyways it made me laugh out loud.
I feel like this could have been 2 videos, it felt like it was rushing from plot point to plot point, but still thank you for sharing the campaign with us. It's always a ton of fun to hear your campaign stories
I love this story. I’m going to re run a water deep fame for my players because the last one we ran which was years ago I was new too DMing. Definitely gonna steal some of this stuff so thanks and again I loved it ❤
Dang I’m sad these are already over. This series and your individual video on waterdork dragon hoost convinced me to get the book, and now I’m gonna have one less thing to look forward to watching every day. Hope you do a recap video with the players like you did for CoS!
I would love to hear an episode with the players talking about their favourite parts of the campaign. I always find it interesting how different people remember things in different ways
fantastic saga and a good fun close to this story. hope you're enjoying your travels and thank you kindly for all the fantastic entertainment over the years!
I really enjoyed this mini series of videos. Its awesome to hear your stories. I do hope you have more in the future. Also, your art just adds so much character.
2:55 I wonder what would have happened to the party if they answered one of the clowns' riddles wrong (and if things would have gotten worse with more wrong answers).
Wonderful to know the YT notification system works wonders. I’ve been subbed for years watched every video and just so happened to find this because I decided to rewatch curse of Stradh.
It's a shame Nana and Peleios couldn't be there at the end. Still at least they were able to keep a lot of the gold. I would like to hear of more campaigns.
Seeing how cloever Tuff can be, it now becomes clear, that his player just likes to troll people ... I can appreciate that :D. Sad that this ended so early. I liked the chaotic energy of this group and how they were able to screw every enemy party over. That requires talent!

Oh boy, the keys. My party got the platinum bar, a beardless Dwarf and a severed Drow hand. Since I am homebrewing my world I had to make sure the party could find some Drow. Essentially, they found out about a group of drow who had been seen outside the city dancing under the moonlight. Since my setting isn't faerun but is still in the multiverse I had to consider a few options I prepared for the character to fight, but well, no fighting only talking. In the end, every opportunity to get the hand legitimately never came up, but they had impressed the group enough. It was interesting...
I find it funny that when im playing a session, it’s hard for me to pay attention to anything but combat but I just love listening to the story here even tho combat is basically skipped over
Really enjoyed this :) Very curious what (if anything) you're running as a follow up campaign? I'm still running Dragonheist but haven't decided what campaign to follow it with afterwards. I know Dungeon of the Mad Mage is technically a sequel, but I'm not sure it makes sense thematically as a sequel. Plus going all the way to Level 20 is a huge committment that I'm not really ready for as a newbie DM
Yes, waterdeep was a bit of a disappointment despite the fact that the intro and sales pitch were intriguing. Like there could be 4 different endings! But in the end is just like “yay! You won! And you now own a tavern!”
When you first said Jarlaxle I was like "who tf is that?!" I'm so used to narrator Victor Bevine's pronunciation. Hell I don't think I could pronounce any Drow names without using his audiobooks. 😅
Well, it's supposed to be a heist, right? Maybe turn the gold dragon into a red dragon and have the party have to find a way to steal the gold out from under it? Maybe some kind of mechanic to drain away the gold or quickly transport it while having to evade the dragon. *Slaps self* ack, got flashbacks to the ending of the desolation of smaug @_@
23:04 "He said fine, he would trade it, but just as long as they gave him a riddle he couldn't solve" ...What can change the nature of a man (I wonder what riddle the party gave him, though)?
Puffin, you have the goofiest bunch of players! Just when I think something serious is going to "ground" them, some other thing happens, and they have crazy-shit reactions! "Owlbear Refuge"??😂
Episode nine. Last episode. One minute and reminded that they are going into the depths to try and rescue a downed player. This feels like a party wipe. Not saying it is, because I haven't watched the video yet. Just that it feels like one.
I would have recommended the elder gold dragon test their worthiness with ultimate combat. When he gets below 20% hp he reverts back to the old man and gives the gold over.
Given the disruptive play style(kidnapping some form of NPC), playing a child character whom Darwinism should have yeeted out of the mortal coil, seemingly obsessed with screwing over the party; yep I'd say that would be the hallmarks of Gouda Thyme's player. Reasonably certain they also played Asiago(the Wildfire/Pyromaniac Druid who also does all of the above)
Yep, and the name keeping too. But I Wonder If the characters are relatives. If I remember right, I think Gouda was from Waterdeep. This would be funny and could be an argument for the existence of a Puffinverse 😂😂
@@DungeonMarcio They probably are related given the same last name and I can't swear to it but I think in the CoS game Gouda mentions something about her family when she gets her new powers from the Death Tyrant
