@@vilmachaney2272 no between 1/4 of a cup and 1/2 a cup. Just an estimation of the amount not an exact amount, I added a bit more than 1/4 so it had a smooth consistency. Cheers 🐨

Same here! In Mumbai, we need to learn to make the pastry dough. The readymade sheets are not easily available and are very expensive.

I'll definitely be trying these. I struggle with daily tasks because of mobility issues so, when l go grocery shopping, l treat myself to a rotisserie chicken and some deli salads for dinner as otherwise it would be too much for me to manage. As it's an expensive treat l make the most of every scrap. My usual routine is to use some of the chicken cold for sandwiches the next day but, after that l like to re-cook it and turn it into something different. I often make it into an easy curry with rice or a tomato based Italian style stew with mashed potatoes or even a chicken and mushroom (or spinach) quiche. I turn the last of it into a chicken and corn soup by boiling the carcass, stripping off the last of the meat and adding a can of creamed corn. I do love the look of these wee savories and will really enjoy adding them to my list of things to make with my leftover chicken.

I am willing to try cooking these.
A NOTE I make pork pies, I use the Texas muffin tins.
The 6 per tray, perfect size for a meal with vegetables.
For easy making I bring the sides up higher, then place in the cap, roll edge to seal.
Then useing a round apple corer I cut a hole in the middle.
I plan to cook a Beer can chicken soon, so will have some roasted chicken to use up.
Here's hoping all go well.

very systematically explained, and with lots of great tips, I did not know about chilling the filling. thanks very much. But please explain why you did not add carrot or celery as is usual in such pies?also, no need to pre bake the base pastry so it doesn’t get soggy ?
